The first time I attempted the US visa in 2011, the interviewer mentioned that I applied for the us visa less than 4 months after my first trip to the UK hence she thinks I made the trip to the UK because I was trying to get travel experience to boost my US application. she also mentioned that she wasn't convinced of my ties because i was only 1.5 years in the COY and my salary wasn't much.


On my second attempting 2014 i was asked if i was married and i said no . Then the interviewer said that she was sorry that my visa wont be granted because she was not convinced that i will come back.


Presently i have 5+ years of experience with the same COY, my salary has improved, i am still unmarried but i have a 1 year old son and I am about to make a third attempt at US Visa but i am scared of being denied again so i am trying to be careful with my application. please i need experts in the house to advice me on the best way to go about my application.

1.(Do i lie that i am married?).
2. Should I still use the invitation from my uncle or use hotel reservation.

Kemi can we tackle this one by one.
Your single status is not a disadvantage because married women were denied as well.
You have a son and I guess that's a tie
You've worked for 5+ years it's an advantage
Your travel history is okay and lastly why not include your son in the holiday package you don't have to stay in your sis place... Hotel will make sense and be precise and straight forward. Goodluck nothing is impossible.

Mine was the second time.... but Abuja is not smiling and they reject you even when they've granted your colleague and team for the same conference the said visa. It's frustrating she just dey cry.

they do it in Lagos too actually it has to do with individual qualification, the conference might be for real and a serious ones and colleagues but the individual might not just qualify for the visa due to ties etc

Q2: “O! Kelan ang Kasal?!” (“When is the wedding?!”)

I was stunned for a second coz he speaked tagalog. I unconsciously turned my head down and then up looking at him sadly and sincerely answered his question.

A2: “Actually no plan yet, we are still having a hard time to deal with this long distance relationship that makes it hard for us to know each other more better, however I don’t want to settle myself first without making sure what will gonna be our life in the US away from my family specially that I have a child already and had a failed relationship before. When I get married I want it to be really a life time commitment”.

During the interview, I noticed he is partially looking at me and partially checking something on the Affidavit of Support and on his computer. I’m expecting my Tourist visa will be denied (by default) because of negative hearsay about tourist visa and lots of my co-workers tried to apply tourist visa before and then get denied. So I tried to show my other documents such as Land Title, PAGIBIG housing receipts, Certificate of Employment, BC of my son, etc. but he refused to look at it and instead ask me another question.

Q3: “How did you met each other?”

A3: “We are working at the same company as an Engineer, I am in Philippine R& branch and he is in US R& main Office.”

Q4: “How much is your monthly salary?”

A4: “Php xx,Bleep”

Q5: “O, bakit maliit?” (“Oh! Why is so small?”)

Aray! hindi naman yun maliit sa kin. Ouch! it’s not that small to me. (talking to my self)

A5: “Probably, because that is why they had the branch in Philippines, the labor is cheaper than in the US.”

After that he said “Ok, Next please!” while he wrote something on the small piece of paper inside my passport and put it away. I probably still enjoying the interview or whatever, coz we not even had 5 mins talking to each other yet. I don’t want to leave the window and still want to convince him more because as I’ve said, by default I have a negative thought that my visa will be denied because of hearsays from other people which are actually inadequate and insignificant.

However, the Consul said while checking next applicant’s paper “Ano pang hinihintay mo? Umuwi ka na, ipapadala na lang namin sa yo ang Visa mo after one week” in a calm manner. Me still standing in front of the window, “Really? I passed the interview?” He answered me “If you want you can wait here and sleep on the floor until Visa is done” while extending his head a little bit towards the window and pointing his index finger to the floor. I laughed and finally realized what is going on. I just said, “Thank you very much Sir!” with a big smile.

I just known after one week my visa arrived that he granted me with a Multiple Entry Tourist Visa for 10 years! Wow! Until now I still can’t believe it. I travelled to the US two times (2012 and 2013 holy week vacation) before we filed our K1/K2 Visa last 2014.) this might help ... Just be honest sha

So I'm my opinion, calling a reply unreasonable or asking one not to call it as it is actuallly being unreasonable

As long as you have not misrepresented or been fraudulent you can still give it a shot, moreover, your situation has changed to some extent. She applies with the child or she doesn't, which is more advantageous?

I was rejected today, I really felt bad because of all the stress I went through, from Arik air 7hrs delay to going there to stand, the interview started late. This is the transcript

I am really heart broken, I spent my hard earn money on expensive tickets, as am typing am in Abuja airport facing azman airline 1.30 hrs delay. Please i need a little clarification on USA invite, i have a friend who sent me an invitation letter as at 2nd Feb 2016 but due to some reason i am yet to file in my application, i will be filling in my application on or before end of April will it affect my visa as the invitation is dated 2nd Feb 2016 or is it adviseable i request another?

Just wise and all please i need your advice on this matter.
