Almost all the shows are on break. Blacklist, Arrow, Flash etc. Its just frustrating.

They could if their siphon ability has no unknown magic source,though, they have been stated to be a rare breed of `witches-Just witches with the ability to absorb magic BUT still `witches even born under a coven.
anyways, if they could siphon her magic , they wouldn't be on the run for their lives,then again, none of them is/was as versatile as Kai.
Magic doesn't necessarily depend on the age but the User[s] and the magic used was almost similar not the same with Rayna`s ,tho.
Witches of TVD are simply underwhelming in some cases.

Klaus Hayley have a fantastic relationship together. They are real adults. No unnecessary romantic conversations Hayley is still my second favourite after Rebecca. Bonnie is becoming another Elena in a fashion.

What the f'ck is wrong with the original family? A weapon capable of killing any one of you and you deemed it right to keep it instead of destroying it? And then you decide to give it to the most careless witch on earth, Aunty Freya!!... "I will cast a thousand spells to hide its location"..." I will be invisible"... But you were visible when you were easily kidnapped.

Another thing, this Freya has got to be the weakest witch I have ever seen, even a teenage Davina is much stronger than she is, I mean she interned under one of the strongest witches on earth for centuries but still she can't protect herself, she has been caught and easily immobilized by lesser witches. This will be like the second time she screwed up when tasked with guarding very important things. WTF!!

Because unlike TVD, they didn't use the time jump so they are stuck in the present and must tell their story slowly. Also remember that Caroline came to new Orleans 3 years in the future looking for Klaus but was told that Klaus is no longer in new Orleans.

TVD is 3 years ahead of TO, it's as simple as that but your question is a valid one.
