Congratulations Wolefola. Just learnt a new one. Scan your receipts to the Embassy and one would not need to carry receipts about anymore. Good one!

Seriously doubt that is possible...tried attaching my statement of account to my change of intent letter to the embassy and got a generic mail that my mail will not be opened unless all attachments are removed...think it's a email protection policy to prevent virus attack...

Hehehehehehe.... Lol @atawewe.

My dear same procedure o, I applied at the one on Osolo way(Ajao Estate) with passport, visa page and ticket . My account is not domiciled at the branch, just decided to try my luck and that's it o. Was charged N395 for Vat, N7900 for sumthin sumthin 1% cash processing and got the $4k at N197 per $.

They just started selling actually. I specifically asked the CSM there and she said they have started selling but it takes 5 working days to get approval. 5 cum turn to 2weeks den 3weeks.

A colleague applied a week ago and was also given.

His took just a week cos he's traveling April, mine is still May, I'm guessing da prolly delayed it a bit. U dig?

It doesn't matter. She can still use Tanko. It's via post.

Do you know the cost of sending a post (passport & supporting documents) from say the east coast for example to Tanko in Atlanta?
undecided
I don't know where Alaska is - too lazy to google but to send from Houston which is close to Atlanta I know how much we spend

I'm not saying it matters but it may not be the most efficient cost and logistic wise

I just hope they won't disturb me at the airport cc feddy27

Please check with Delta. They didn't allow a lady on my flight back to Naija, they said she needed to get a returnbticket for her son since he's American, hmmm we all had to contribute our remaining change for her cos she was really short of cash...please confirm withbthem no harm doing so...lol dear!

Maybe I don't get what you're on about but I've done it twice both with Edwin and Tanko.

I would think USPS charges a flat rate for their post regardless of what state you're in.

Using Tanko/Edwin is more cost effective than buying airplane ticket with a baby to go to DC, Atlanta or NY (those are the only 3 I know), and also logistic wise.

choi! I no do o!

Seems you will be having a summer baby. Thank God for that. How did you manage Alaska cold in Feb. ?
My relative drove me around, gave me snow pants and boots lol. But really it wasn't that bad, it was just about negative 10 degrees. I'm glad I will be going back in summer.

A few people have done it here. I think @shelly(don't remember her Monika) It also depends on the time you have left. If you have some more weeks to go then go to the Nigeria embassy website and follow the instructions on how to get the visa.
Good luck.

Hey mama's, please help with a few questions please:

1. Has anyone ever traveled with Qatar airways?
What's your take on it?

Cos I'm about to book Qatar to Atlanta(at 35 weeks) and I'm a bit skeptical, no previous experience.

2. There's an 8 hour layover in Doha; Any experience with airport lodging (cos I really would be glad to rest my big bumpy self, and legs, even if for 4 hours)

3. With this itinerary, my POE will be Miami. Good or scary idea?

Kindly help a preggy sister out smiley

I didnt use tanko but it's all via post, so I guess you can also use him from alaska.
So you did the visa yourself? How did you manage to follow it up and get it in time? I heard that if you don't use an Agent they just throw it anywhere (even if you pay for expediting) and you don't get it for weeks. Is this true?

Fly down Keh? Please can I just mail it from Alaska to the naija embassy myself? Would It get done?
Re: Give Birth In USA: Cost And Procedures Part 4 by ChicMalkia: 5:48pm On Apr 06, 2016
Of course you can do it yourself...I really find it funny that though mums on here discourage the use of agents for visa application, some use visa agents in the US where its an even less difficult process...maybe the use of agents is to expedite the process sha. Anyways I processed my baby's visa myself and got it back in about 7 working days. Can't remember if there is the expedited option but I wasn't in a hurry.

Your wife is NOT entitled to ANY form of taxpayers funded program whatsoever period. You were granted visa based on the fact that you claimed you had enough funds to embark on this journey. So, did you lie at the embassy? Please, do the right thing. The image of the country is already in the toilet
I concour, Simple good advice.
