Are we already at the threshold of this prophesy or is it still an occurence we await?

Do not be fooled by the hanging verse, I'm no preacher but I find the words of the Bible soothing and intriguing, but its article of faith difficult to abide by!

I walked into my banks (GT & Fidelity) for transactions and a cursory glance revealed there are far more females in marketing department, Operations, cashier, Works, etc than there are males. The only departments that have an overwhelming male prevalence are drivers and security personnel.

Private firms, institutions, multinationals, NGOs and SMEs are beginning to have a certain predilection for female employees. It is no stupefaction the steady rise of the economic wherewithal of women lately.

Powerful international lobby groups have made it their point of short and long term objectives to have women enlisted by percentage and gender in all government institutions and political position.

Gender liberalisation, economic swing, professional choices and employers preferences suggest we're at the dawning of an era where women will be needing less financial support from their men. And this is neither good or bad in itself, only by its moral and conventional implications can it be judged to be evil or good.

I used to be of the opinion that a great act of war will bring about the shortage of men in great numbers....but recent economic realities seem more likely the causative agent of this prediction than an act of lethal aggression, only an economic permutation and ideological switch seem more likely bring about this prophecy.

And mankind is at the very verge of fulfilling this divination.

With the modern woman growing steadily in financial clout, occupying a significant part of the growing lower and upper middle class, they will indeed be able to feed themselves, provide their own apparel and shelter.

In furtherance to this, the notion of fine boy, which is a synonym or byword for men with lazy disposition, wearing starched shirts, permed hair, creamed face and having a preternatural ability for long, exciting iddle talk with no job has become a growing brand and an occupation of some sort.

The celerity and pace with which these busy working-class ladies fall for the affability of these starched seducers is faster than pasteries dissolving in the heat of an oven!

.....as the economic swing continues to oscillate, titling towards the weaker sex, society will lose its conventions and inhibitions. There will be an impassive concession for change and moral adaptability.

The idea still leaves a sore taste in the mouth, but so did homosexuality few years ago. The era where several women will be married to a single man, at least, more on paper or affiliation, than in the conventional sense of marriage is about nigh!

I don't see that prophecy coming to pass anytime soon. Women are becoming more independent by the day. Marriage has been de-emphasized in developed worlds.

I quite agree with you. Most of these ladies are in their mid and late 20s. While their male counterpart of the same age are struggling to get paid job or to feed themselves. The truth is at this age some male folks still rely heavily on their parents for survival. When these men are ready to settle down they are less likely say in their early or mid 30s they are less likely to date someone of their age . The only advice i have for ladies expecially those one in higher institutions is to change their mindset about graduating and working for a number of years before they get married.

Today's male graduate is considerably disadvantaged from graduation.

His female counterparts has are higher odds in getting job and enlistments than he does. Except he goes onto business, he soon begin living off the leavings of his girlfriend or family.

This trend continues, I see a situation closer situation as that described above!
