Searching here for what to tell the VO as a reason for your travel to the US already show you don't have any reason being there, if you do... you'll be convinced about it and what it is.
Gbam!

Furthermore, please how do I file my properties possession that doesn't have C of O.. What do u think the VO will recognize ? I haven't registered my business but I have been running it for two years.. Advice please... God bless us

I can't tell you why you need to travel to the US, if you have any good reason (Intent) then apply otherwise stay back.
You don't have to go to the consulate/embassy with your properties C of O or any other building documents. The visa officer is not interested in seeing them. Consular officers base their decisions more on applicants' answers to their questions. The decision to issue or reject your application will be reached base on information you provided in your form and during the interview session.

Definitely. Same process and unsure you take all the receipts to the consulate/embassy, it's now a requirement to be admitted in for interview.

If one filled may 20th instead of June 20th for intended date of travel on ds-160 and thinking of going for interview June 5th. Interview not yet scheduled.
What's the best way to rectify the date. I feel is dumb saying u want to travel may 20th while you are interviewing in June.
How do I correct it? Fill a new ds-160 or call d embassy?

2ndly,
What if I filled lag in my ds-160 but will like to interview in Abuja, is it possible? Or must you interview at d location on ds-160?

Normally you can explain the situation during the interview with the officer, but if you're uncomfortable, you can always fill another application. It shouldn't take more than 30minutes.

For your second question. Have not had that experience, but I am certain it's possible if you contact CGI technical team.

I'm going to the US to visit a friend. He said there is no reqirement that one should hold a particular amount of money while coming. In fact he said I should just hold like $500 in case of any need to buy something during the layover. Please I want to know if not having a particular amount of money as a visitor can put one into problem at the airport here and POE over there? Those who have been to the US can help shed light on this. Thanks

Interview not yet sheduled. So why haven't u filled a new one?
The same answer for the second question. Why haven't u filled a new form to tally with the location u actually want to be interviewed?
I also believe u have asked this question before and on the other thread?

You may be asked where you are staying, so either a letter from your friend offering accommodation, or money to pay hotel bills.

Hello guys, well I do read and educate myself on nairaland a lot although this is my first time putting up a post.
My first visit to the US embassy was in 2013, I was doing my masters then, I tried twice within two months because I really wanted to go for my brothers masters grad, unfortunately I was denied both times..felt rally bad because I felt I did well.. I searched all round for a reason for denial but I only got speculations.
Good news now is I just got my visa wed
6th 2016. Guess third time is a charm but I actually prepared for it like an exam.
Here goes my interview
Vo: good morning
Me: good morning ma, how are you?
Vo: fine thank you.
Vo(captured my left and right four fingers)
Vo: so where are you going to in the USA
Me; sorry where or why( I didn't hear her well)
Vo: where
Me: OK , am going to Morgan town West Virginia
Vo: OK why are you going there?
Me: going for my bros wedding and am the best man.
Vo:checking her system and all..OK, so what do you do?
Me: am a safety man at ......
Vo: so what do you do there as a safety
Me: gave my key Job responsibilities
Vo:so have you travelled before?
Me: yes with my mum and sis
Vo:how long do you plan staying there?
Me: 12days
Vo:so did you travel alone?
Me: no I went with my mum and sis( for my mind I was like this vo wan scam me sha)
Vo:so since when has your bro been in America
Me: since .....
Vo: so you studied safety in school
Me: no ma'am, I did a safety course after I finished school. (Which is actually what I wrote when filling the form online)(another scam attempt from the vo)
Vo:are you married?
Me: no( while smiling)
Vo: quiet
Me: scared...
Vo: you can go pick up....
Me: unfortunately excitement didn't allow me hear any other word she said after you can go pick up..all other words became vacuum..
Key advise: fill your form with truth and sense and most importantly keep it the same and real when interviewed.. There should be no diff in what was filled online and what you sir in person..(I think you would stand a better chance).
I also think strong ties back here in Nigeria gives you a better chance(stable job, family, investments)
Good luck guys

There's no US immigration law that states so... but we've heard of POE official demanding such.

Not really as per previously asked.
I just wanted to be sure since ds-160 is already submitted.
Am trying not to have a duplicate of ds-160.
So I can fill another form abi? Hope it won't be a duplicate ?
Just asking.
Is it possible to cancel the previous application or it automatically does so if I feel a new form?

@Udiboy Don't lose sleep over this subject. start another application, no need jumping from thread to thread.

Hello and good evening. I'm about to apply for a visit visa to the USA. The thing is I bear different last name from my kids. I have just been married for six years and now a widow. I decide to keep my name and my husband agree to it. Hope it won't affect the visa from been approved?

Well said. Some people just look for reasons to get to the states and vamoose thereby putting the credibility of genuine Nigerian travellers in doubt. Now, do we blame the VOs even when they refuse genuine applicants entry visas to the states? sad
