Its the tradition here and has always been bro.. The romance section is where the e-pageant originated. I'm only speaking in favour of dygeasy himself who knows how tasking it is to conduct and oversee these things. There are several contestants who have been nominated and lots of em are still gonna get verified. That's all I'm saying.

1. The way these nominations keep revolving around 2 to 3 people, this contest is not going to be interesting, considering the fact that some nominated persons backed out due to some reasons best known to them.

2. plus the fact that this thread was created under the romance section which makes it look like a romanceland contest (miss romanceland)

MY SUGGESTIONS;
1. Dygeasy, why don't you make it a free contest, just like the MBGN contest, put out the email address associated to this contest on the first page, put out another information stating that whoever has interest and has what it takes is free to send a mail and probably attach her picture.

that way, the contest will have enough contestants which would in turn make it more lively...

WHY?

There are lots of ladies on other sections who have what it takes to partake in this competition, but for one reason or the other have not had any nominations or anyone to nominate them.. putting the word out will certainly give them the opportunity to participate

note: the initial nominations still stand, this is just a way of getting more people to participate.

2. notify a moderator to kindly move this thread to the general section or even to the front page, this is about Nairaland as a whole and not just a particular section..this would help create more awareness.

Taking this thread to other sections is a whole new cookie all together. Bro, There are roughly 1.7million registered monikers on NL. Now, the good thing about keeping it HERE is... each of these 1.7mil monikers are intertwined (the topics are called "threads" for a reason). What I mean is, if I know a certain JANE in the events section who swept me away when I saw her DP, then there's nothing stopping me from mentioning her HERE! She will see it, my followers will in-turn see it and so will her followers (if she replies). Its a circle.

But if this thread is moved to another section, it will be termed as "unfair" to other sections who will want a piece of the pie and when that pie is eventually shared, no amount of logistics dygeasy puts in place will be able to contain the clusterfvck of chaos that will surely emerge from the excessive influx of candidates. Miss NL 2016 will be marred by all manner of scandals and might even end before it even starts. Savvy?
