A guy in my area got the shock of his life today, when his long-time girlfriend turned down his proposal and walked away on him simply becauuse the guy proposed to her in a market place,not even the area where gold or electronics or clothing materials were sold but close to where pepper,tomatoes and meat were sold.
She's been refusing to pick the guy's calls, nor reply his whatsapp messages and sms.
The guy has been the subject of laughter from people who witnessed the scenario.

Ladies and Gents, Is their anything wrong in what she did?
As a guy,can you propose to your girl in a market place?

And as a girl can you accept if your guy propose to you in a market place?

what exactly does the market place proposal have to do with the strength of the relationship? he obviously doesn't know the woman he proposed to because if he did, he would know if she were ready or interested in settling down with him.

If a woman refuses your marriage proposal because of the location at which you proposed then, thank your lucky stars that you dodged that bullet.

Loolz. Who knows if its the excessive hyping of proposal on NL that influenced the guy's action sef. When excessive thinking of how to create a suprise package is coincided with how not to overdo it so that she won't be offended, diminishing return will affect d brain and d outcome will be lower than expectation.

I've never dreamt of proposing in a particular place. I think its high time guys knew that some girls don't even like public or open proposal in d 1st place, some are actually looking towards the marital life after proposal and some are in serious need of a suitor whether inclusive of public proposal or not.

Then some girls like it but not too elaborate. While some mostly pampered brats (not all though) expect almost an unreal proposal.
