If I found myself in a situation where I can't have my own kids, I would definitely adopt.

For now,no special circumstance, my hubby suggested we adopt one and I bought the idea_ to give the child a "family" and better standard of living. The child would be the baby of the house , probably in the next 4-6yrs, we would take that step.

I don't know if I should go for a boy or girl, before then I would definitely decide...lols.

I have three of my own but want one more to help
So yep, I will adopt some day.

God willing, I will adopt at least a child in my lifetime, and the only thing it is subject to is my husband's consent given with all his heart.

I am a bit surprised at the above responses. If you have your own kids why do you want to adopt? Is it to treat the child as a second class person or what? Many of these kids adopted by people who already have kids are treated very poorly most times even by their so called siblings.

OP, I would like to adopt kids, if I end up not having mine.

Adopting a child/children comes with different processes, and individuals involved..

• Couples who have been married for a long time without any child..

• A single woman who feels she cannot be married again but would want a child to bear her name..

• Gay couples who would want a child/children..

• Married couples who already have children but want more, and wouldn't want to go through the stress of getting pregnant again or those who would want to help a child/children have a better life.. Madonna & Angelina Jolie comes to mind..

E taya me oo .. I know a friend, and course mate whose dad has eight children (4 of them are already married, with the last in level 100 in the university) and yet, he adopted two beautiful daughters (his reason was, the others were older, and leaving the house, and at such, he needed kids to grow with him).. Trust me when I say I couldn't differentiate between the adopted kids from his as they all looked good, and well taken care of..

If I find myself in a situation where I can't have my own kids, I would definitely adopt, and that child would be treated right..

Some believes that child adoption is as a result of have none as your own but I strongly dispute that. Child adoption is like extending a helping hand to the unfortunate. And such kids tends to bring good luck aura into any family they found themselves in.

1. Kids of late relatives
2. The love for children.
3. Service to humanity
4. Inability to have one's children.

Are you saying because a person has biological children, they can't treat an adopted child right?

I will definitely adopt 2 children in my lifetime, if I don't die before achieving that.

2. If I get 2 sons and instead of trying for a 3rd time I adopt a girl.

I'll bear my own children however I'll adopt under the following circumstances.
1. If after 5 years of marriage without children.
2. When my 3 children are done with higher institution.
3. When my money is so much and I have been little responsibility to carry out.
