@hayqinsbFX and other experience uncles and sisters, I need your clarification to this my below submission. Plssssssss treat as yours

I need help in my September 2016 application.

I am sponsoring myself. I have being able to put N7m and the school fees is about $14,500k CAD for one year but the partial payment that I am expected to pay is $8,200k CAD (N1.35m). If I pay that partial fee, I will have about N5.6M left in the account. please my dear experts is that enough for me to submit in my SOA?

I am married but my wife will be left in Nigeria while am away in Canada. what is your take on this and what is the best reason to give the embassy?

Another issue is this, I initially got admission in Lambton College for a two years PGD and also got a one year course in DURHAM College for a course that is a Graduate Certificate. I have a 6 years experience in I.T with a bachelors degree. I had to take take the option of the DURHAM College that has a specialize course in I.T(Information Systems Security) for one year. Please is my decision right on this course and college option?

Also do I need to swear affidavit for support or sponsor since I am sponsoring myself?

Is police certificate clearance a must

Please I need someone to break down this answers. I dont want to be referred elsewhere. Please experience Nairanders, help me

Hello house,

Please I need your opinion(s) on my case.

I did my first study permit application ( NAIT, Petroleum Engineering, Diploma) in March and was refused same month due to Purpose of visit and family ties. I ordered for the gcms notes on the 11th of April and got a feedback today ( see attached pic).

Here's a quick glance at my profile. I studied polymer engineering in my UG and I've been working as a regional project manager in an indigenous telecoms firm since 2012.

After my SP got refused, I immediately applied for a PGC program on Project mgt at Humber which I've been offered admission into. Can I use this course of study to tackle the purpose of visit denial reason?

Also, in my first application, I did not include letter of introduction/leave approval letter from my employer stating that I'll resume duty upon successful completion of my program. I plan to include this in my next application. Is this enough to tackle the social and economic ties stated in gcms notes.

Finally, I'm thinking of reapplying month end. Is it too early to refire? My program is for Fall 2016

If you truly have been working as regional project manager, then your 2nd course is apposite for your application.

But be careful as there is a burden of proof on you to explain certain things in a comprehensive SOP (along with the tidbits Haqs proffered).

Things like

1. Have you worked long enough in said company to be entitled to a study leave?

2. What will said company gain from your PGC that they weren't already gaining (since you were already managing projects in a region for 4 years now) ?

3. How will said company cope in your absence?

I think answers to these posers may help cover the aspects of home ties and may clear any doubts in the VOs mind that you are a genuine candidate.

Looking at it,you have a wife and to be sincere 7m is more than enough for you to pursue the course, but seriously you need to show how your wife be fine back home,if she is working you need to show that she can fend for herself.
since you are sponsoring urself swear an affidavit, and everybody here should know that you wont be there when ur application will be reviewed,so docs submitted is what represent you in front of the VO,so lay ur hands on every docs connected to ur application, your course is fine with your academic background.

Refusals

Refusals do not stem from having two intents. They stem from having a single bona fide intent (i.e., to become a permanent resident) and misrepresenting the second intent (i.e., to become a temporary resident) in order to achieve the first intent.

For example: an applicant for a study permit who indicates that they have no intention of leaving Canada has demonstrated only a single intent – permanent residence. This application would be refused, even if the applicant might qualify for the Canadian Experience Class (CEC) or the Provincial Nominee Program (PNP). This is because the applicant has shown that they do not respect the terms and conditions of temporary residence, should they not qualify for a Permanent Resident streamOfficers are reminded to use their own judgment and the flexibility afforded to them by A22(2) when making decisions in cases with a dual intent aspect. CAIPS/FOSS/GCMS notes should clearly demonstrate the officer’s reasoning when assessing a case.

Hello Everyone

I have been following this thread for a long time and have seen how helpful you all have been to each other and new people, May God bless this forum and us all in this thread.

I have some questions, I graduated long ago 2007 to be precise, I studied Law and graduated with a 2nd class upper degree. I want to go for a masters degree but don't want an LLM. I was thinking in the lines of Peace and Conflict studies offered by University of Manitoba, but my problem is that the next admission intake is next fall but I really want to leave by January, and no other program I like begins in January except the Masters in Human Resources by the University of Regina (which is very expensive compared to the other program).

My question is, If I get admission for the MHRM program and back it up with an employment in that field, can I get Visa? Or would it be deemed as not relevant to my 1st degree? How easy is it to change course and school when I get to Canada? If I withdraw from a program while waiting to start another, how long am I allowed to be idle? Should I apply instead for a PGD in Alternative Dispute Resolution in a college which is an 8 month program compared to the MHRM which is 2 years?

I am going with the intention of migrating permanently. Are any of these programs relevant in Canadian workforce?

Please be patient with me, I know the questions are many but I will appreciate honest and thoughtful replies.
@justwise and all others!

Thanks!

I am faced with your situation too. Eventually I had to go for a PGC in human resources management.

I want to go for my LLM at u of Ottawa fall 2017.

So instead of waiting I had to go for a one year graduate certificate program.

P.s am a lawyer too.

Nope u don't need to have a master first before going for any of the pace program. Just your degree.

But it's quite expensive.

Hello All,

Please what is the maximum time lag between the last date on a printed SOA and when the application is actually submitted ?
Re: Travelling To Canada Part 10 by thesoj: 5:57pm On May 11, 2016
@Churkie, sorry about the delay.
In your application that was refused, did you include an SOP explaining why you were switching from polymer to petroleum engineering? Did you explain why you were going for a Diploma instead of a PGD or MSc?

Also, keep in mind that a study leave letter (& future employment letter) is sort of useless if your employer's business line is completely unrelated to your program of study in Canada.
