I have a feeling that he/she might be one of those Houston poe officers.

Lol- u fit correct oh!
@ MadameU I would say that u should utilize the blank space at the end of the ds160 wella. Explain the situation as in what the Mhis package was in 2014 and how it differs from present;Including that you would come in with a copy of the old contract. I think varvara still has it if you didn't make a copy of yours.
@amother4life I would implore you learn to be sensitive. If you can go on google to pull up and screenshot Mhis contract then you can as well read up parts 1,2&3 of these thread

It's one thing to be denied a visa because you 'misrepresented' or cannot show that you have enough ties to your home country, or........and its another thing for the consular officer to say you took public funds when you know you did not. it's just very annoying on top say u can't even express you anger or defend your case well before them tell you to leave.
Most people when they go for their interview usually state when asked about how much you intend to spend on giving birth in the usa, would say 10-15kusd or higher depending on the budget sheet you have prepared and wetin they your bank account. + the focus is usually on the medical cost and I'm not saying accommodation!transport et al are unimportant but it's written below. And as with most uncomplicated births esp vaginal births you dont spend up to that. More so, as most make I no say all as I never contact all hosp wey dey us, give discounts of varying percentages to the self paying patients and depending again on if naa a for profit/private or ngo owned or govt hosp one choose to use- the price vary.
Make person try contact hosp like cedar Sinai,L.A compare am to st francis, L.A and see the difference. All for this our American dream cos plenty people dey wey all this show zero bal,.........no dey come up for interview or Poe .
So MadameU + others wey this Mhis or 'too low hosp reciepts ' affect just prepare well, arrange and go with your supporting documents and in fact utilize that blank section on your ds160 -coherently state your facts like tomorrow no dey and above pray for God's Favour .x

Doha is not a POE for the US.Your point of entry is the first city in the US you land in.Their planes are alright.

It is my turn to share my testimony.

My LO was born yesterday 11th May 2016. Some of you would recall how my Dollars were stolen by my help before my trip. I was well prepared to follow it up and post everywhere about it but after my first doctors appointment here, the stolen money was irrelevant to me.

The doctor did a scan and said she found spots on my LO's heart that were indicative of either a hole in the heart or downs syndrome. I began to pray and believe God even though I was very shaken by the news.

Long story short, she arrived yesterday and is completely fine. She followed me straight from the OR to the postpartum recovery room. Join me praise the Lord. I'm one happy mumma.

I submitted my documents at stanbic head office yesterday and am waiting to be rebutted meanwhile it is taking forever to open a sterling bank account. Submitted my account opening documents on monday but account is yet to be opened. i pray the stanbic application goes through.

Hope you have settled your accommodation? Hopefully we will meet in Atlanta

Thanks once again.

Hello my people, kindly help me with this question.

I will be attending a visa interview, with our little boy, to join wife in the US for her delivery.
Would I be required to have a consent letter (with respect to the little boy) from my wife considering that she will not be present during the interview?

Thank you.

Thanks dear. Will sure do.

Momo13:
@ biollar 1 I feel you.. if you're like me,you'd probably look 41 weeks pregnant by now.. I'm guessing you don't need to look slimmer really( the tummy is long!). In addition to full maternity jeans you might want to try a blouse that's peplumish i.e. free around the tummy and then wear a free jacket, black or otherwise.
I may be wrong but hey- no harm in trying diiferent outfits in front of the mirror and choose whichever one makes you 'comfy'

Lajoie33, please do you mind sharing those HUGE Mistakes so others can learn from you?

Long story but I went on vacation to the US when I was pregnant, got convinced by a relative to give birth in the US, but was told that hospitals were too expensive for me n hubby. We were told that hospitals charged above $ 20k and that we should use a birthing center, we ended up paying for this birthing center (cost above 5000) we paid ahead of time o. Fast forward to when I was in labor, labor was HARD, to make it worse, the midwife made me push for two hours without success. My cervix started swelling, the woman then made the decision to send us to a hospital (a highbrow one at that!) When we got the hospital, Nurse checks me and says "Oh you're 8 cm dilated" I swear if That midwife was there, I would have pulled her hair! I pushed for 2 WHOLE HOURS and I wasn't fully dilated.
By the time I had the baby, hospital put me in for medicaid, thankfully I found out on time and asked them to remove me from medicaid. Then the bills started coming! Na God sha. Im glad I survived and me n my baby are doing ok. This time eh, I shine eye, started research and ended up in this fountain of knowledge and goodness. I have directed all my friends here to come, learn and be blessed.
