Monimatic:

Another explosion rocked Chevron Nigeria Limited’s facility in the oil rich Niger Delta on Friday.
The company had in the last few weeks recorded several attacks on its facilities.

Friday’s attack occurred in the Marakaba line operated by the oil firm in Warri, Delta State.

The Nation gathered that unknown persons detonated explosive on oil well head 10 on the Makaraba line.
Sources said Chevron had declared force majeure on the facility since last Wednesday’s attack on the offshore Okan manifold.

Friday’s attack, our correspondents gathered, was carried out by persons specifically engaged by contractors to work on damaged oil pipelines in the area.

Could this be a controlled explosion?

The FG should know that ND militants are not Igbos and Massobs. Niger Deltans don't make noise, they (we) believe in action and it is very evident.

The environmental pollution cause by blowing up pipelines is worst than gas flaring. To top it up you won't have light cause obviously most southerners depends entirely on gas plants for electricity. The North you are trying to hurt have light. Keep on destroying yourself, They won't be much work left for the Fulani herdsmen.
The sad fact is in the country breaks up today, the northerners still have their land in tact while the so called idiots cheering their fellows idiots will live in the polluted land.

I think buhari should approach governance more strategically than forcefully. A lot of things are going wrong and more will most likely go wrong with his inept approach to issues.

The old man thinks Nigeria belongs to his Daura empire.
The world is open now.
Mercenaries from outside Nigeria can even be hired to cause havoc in the country.

The best way is to appeal to Niger Delta people. Do something tangible for them and they work for you.
I did this in the past and it worked for me.

Well personal this action by the militant isn't the way forward ,first they are destroying there land , chasing foreign investors away from investing in that region , the country is losing more money on vandalism, and lastly the citizens will be the one to suffer all the loss

I like your point. I think that should be a major reason the president needs to attend to that part of the country.

They sustain the economy, yet their lands are polluted and count out.

The president should attend to them. Not to marginalise them.

Erm the President wants to start the clean up of Ogoni land, the President refused to sign the budget and one of the reasons was because of a train line that would pass the South South.

So that idea that they marginalised won't fly.

Noooo they don't want to talk. They want to bring death and destruction from all points of the compass. You don't start violence and then claim you want t.o talk. The earth itself is crying from the pollution.
War is not about shooting guns and macho. It is serious hunger and suffering of women and children.
The people the soldiers the FG will unleash on the region are not going to be "very nice". They will commit genocide and people will say the NDA overstepped bounds and everything dies.

Death n destruction? undecided how many people have died from d bombing please remind us.

U don't start violence n want to talk? Wow! Have they perpetuated anything close to BH that ur president just granted presidential pardon n r been rehabilitated now, soon be released into d society to further their works?

These same people that kill n crippled thousands?

The earth is crying from pollution of crude that was gotten from same earth but ITS NOT CRYING FROM X BLOOD OF D INNOCENT BH KILLED HUH?
The earth is not crying from d blood ur president's Fulani brother have been spilling?

How pyrochial ! How hypocritical , how evil , how animalistic , how blinded can u get?

I don't have a first hand info about it.

If you really get to the Niger Delta, honestly, you will pity them. Especially Delta state that I have been to.

I think they prefer to live in polluted lands, as long as the north and South West leave their oil, they'll be fine. Every region had natural resources.

The greatest achievement recorded by Nigerian government in the last ten years is the securing of a peaceful and business-friendly Niger Delta.
Thanks to late Umar Yar'adua.

Ex-President Jonathan seems to realize the importance and need to consolidate on amnesty program, even though the kudos goes to late Yar'adua. Jonathan's tenure witnessed a peaceful and business a friendly N/Delta and developments were recorded across Nigeria.

Today, we have new government from a different political party. Despite that, the Yar'adua legacy should be carried on because of the benefits it yielded.

Who are the Advisers and kitchen-cabinet members of President Buhari?
When will they tell him the truth that without functional amnesty as Yar'adua established it, that economically important region will become a war zone.

Why will N/Delta turn to a war zone again when we have persons like Rotimi Amaechi, Oshiomole, Kachikwu, Fashiola, Tinubu and others who can impart the concept and idea underlying amnesty to Buhari?
