The FG should know that ND militants are not Igbos and Massobs. Niger Deltans don't make noise, they (we) believe in action and it is very evident. 5 Likes 1 Share |

etebefia: The old man thinks Nigeria belongs to his Daura empire. The world is open now. Mercenaries from outside Nigeria can even be hired to cause havoc in the country. The best way is to appeal to Niger Delta people. Do something tangible for them and they work for you. I did this in the past and it worked for me. 9 Likes 1 Share |

Well personal this action by the militant isn't the way forward ,first they are destroying there land , chasing foreign investors away from investing in that region , the country is losing more money on vandalism, and lastly the citizens will be the one to suffer all the loss # honest truth# kissval1388: |

AZeD1: I like your point. I think that should be a major reason the president needs to attend to that part of the country. They sustain the economy, yet their lands are polluted and count out. The president should attend to them. Not to marginalise them. 6 Likes 1 Share |

laprince:Erm the President wants to start the clean up of Ogoni land, the President refused to sign the budget and one of the reasons was because of a train line that would pass the South South. So that idea that they marginalised won't fly. |

The greatest achievement recorded by Nigerian government in the last ten years is the securing of a peaceful and business-friendly Niger Delta. Thanks to late Umar Yar'adua. Ex-President Jonathan seems to realize the importance and need to consolidate on amnesty program, even though the kudos goes to late Yar'adua. Jonathan's tenure witnessed a peaceful and business a friendly N/Delta and developments were recorded across Nigeria. Today, we have new government from a different political party. Despite that, the Yar'adua legacy should be carried on because of the benefits it yielded. Who are the Advisers and kitchen-cabinet members of President Buhari? When will they tell him the truth that without functional amnesty as Yar'adua established it, that economically important region will become a war zone. Why will N/Delta turn to a war zone again when we have persons like Rotimi Amaechi, Oshiomole, Kachikwu, Fashiola, Tinubu and others who can impart the concept and idea underlying amnesty to Buhari? 4 Likes 1 Share |
