Aproko247 has been informed that popular veteran actor, Elder Maya, is presently languishing in pain because of an ailment he is battling with.

Our reporter gathered that Elder Maya, who is arguably the longest surviving Nigerian actor, is down with a liver-related problem.

Also, Aproko247 learnt that the actor has a swollen leg, which we gathered causes pain to him too.

“The man has not been acting for a while now because of his condition and our people (Nollywood actors) have not shown interest in the old man. They are probably waiting for him to die before they started shedding crocodile tears they are well known for,” one actor told Aproko247 on Friday.

We gathered that a passionate call has been made to well-meaning Nigerians to contribute to saving Elder Maya.

The old man is well known for his village chief priest’s roles he acts in movies, which he interprets very well. He is believed to be over 100 years

No difference oo, because even the movie he has been acting since he is always looking in a pathetic state, reason he is mostly used as a native doctor and an elder in the village.

i pray God heals him. that's a pretty bad shape to be in. hope the actor's guild of Nigeria can help him out in finances. because of the symptoms, my guess is dat he's suffering from cirrhosis.. a liver condition that arises from excessive drinking. (village palm wine movies caused this).

Those other idiotic famous actors and actress, they organised a stupid All White Event yesterday, instead of helping each other, if they gather the money that they want to use to organise meaningless events, wont it save this man?
