Please house, I have a request concerning my withheld gre scores from anyone in the US with a PayPal account. I would like to transfer $235 to the person's PayPal account directly from my freelancing earnings so the fellow could help effect the gre payments with gre. My earnings are legit from a legit site; I could shed more light on it to anyone who's willing to help if they need that assurance of safety. If I convert that money to naira and try to use PayPal linked to Nigerian bank or Gieva, the almost 350naira exchange rate will finish me, cos the money will be converted to naira at the official rate. Please note, Nigerian PayPal does not receive payments, I would have done it myself.

Guy $235 is what you owe, you will need significantly more than that to cover WU commission and also between $5-$35 for posting depending on if you chose regular uninsured mail(not advised) or you chose UPS Next day Air (advised) . Just add like $50 to that $235

You don't need any notarization. However, there may be questions about your relationship with the distinguished senator. Be ready to defend that.

Good luck.

friday 9 am abuja...... Do I need to go along with a picture of he and I and ma madam at our engagement party? Also I noticed some people are asked why an uncle is ready to spend a huge amount of money on an individual and I was thinking to say cus he can afford it. Their salary is like a cool 32 million every month so its not a financial burden to him. Is that a correct way to answer?

No, you don't need that. The statement of account, letter of support, and your verbal explanation of the relationship between you both is all you need.

Best of luck on Friday.

I saw ur interview transcripts. I was impressed. I like the way you oppressed the VO woman.

You were too smooth that is why she needed to verify you and your parents. Congratulations. BTW Howard is the most respected black school in the US. Very historic! Congratulations.

Anytime I read or see anything about scam I'll comment. If you like support if you like don't.

A nice answer would be "he's my uncle and has been responsible for my education right from elementary school. He has a passion for education and has promised to pay for my masters degree in the USA if I could make or graduate with a second class or higher at undergraduate level because I am the first in my generation or family to attend college".

Good luck to everyone going for interview today and this week.

ok that sounds succint enough. If asked what will this degree do for you, my reeply goes thus, I intend to set up my own advertising and communications firm when I return. I have already garnered requisite field experience in communications aspect coupled with my undergraduate degree in the same field and I need theoretical knowledge to help me with decusion making and daily running of a communications firm. I intend to dabble into politics like my uncle and we both agreed getting world class education will enable me compete favourably.

Why not make it as simple as you can? Tie in your research interest and talk about how that would help you grow in your career because you eventually want to work as a PR person for so so so organization or NGO or government parastatal or multinational (pick one).

Guru's in the house..I recently got information from my grad school coordinator about funding. He said a stipend of $11,500 is available annually for assistantships + full tuition waiver. My question is can I survive in Nebraska with this? I need advice from Guru's with first hand experience. Thanks
Guys any idea? Please help a brother!

Hi all,

I recently accepted an offer into graduate program (PhD) in chemistry. I was offered a financial support as a Graduate Teaching Assistant (GTA) or Graduate Research Assistant (GRA) with stipend. In short, its fully funded.

What are the embassy requirements please? How can I prove strong tie to my country? My education has been back to back, I recently completed Master in Chemistry (graduated in September) in UI but still carrying out researches and writing papers (Journals) so I am not doing any paid job now.

What advice can you guys give when it comes to embassy in Lagos? so far my PhD is fully funded with monthly stipend, do I have to present huge back statement to embassy?
What are the documents that I should provide or take to the embassy with me?

Looking forward to hear from you guy.
Thanks

who u din EEP?
anyways just write it like a normal formal letter. title it assistantship.
highlight your qualifications and your usefulness to the dept. then ask kindly if available spaces exist or if you can be referred in the evebt it is not possible to be a GA in d dept. thanks.
best regards.

Hey bro,

I just got 3 admissions fully funded. From experience, if you write most of the professors, they rarely answer you. My advice is,apply to the school. In your statement of purpose, mention that you will like to be consider for funding . Apply very early. Have high GRE score. Then try to create relationship with the department admission coordinator. For me I call every week to check status of my application with the department, i seek for advises from the coordinator which are professor as well.

In short, i applied to 7 schools and got adm from 3 , 1 still pending

Hello house, please does being engaged prove enough strong ties to Nigeria?
Also, VO asks most people what they will be working on...as in research project and all.
I have my I-20 but before I contact my advisor and select courses for the semester, the school advised I must have gotten a visa...what do I do in case of being asked such a question?

Kindly advise please.

On the research part. Go to your department website, look at the researches they are working on, or research of your interest and use that. When it comes to courses, by now you should have seen courses that are listed to be taking by new students, so mention those. For example. I am going for chemistry research, the course works i will be taking are already listed in the website and each professor rsearches are on their website as well.
