IsraeliAIRFORCE:The more you keep them divided, the weaker their resistance and the stronger your stranglehold on their resources. But it won't last forever. The end is already in sight and of course, they're not aware. They're more preoccupied with keeping them divided. |

D news caption is different from it's content, There is no where in the news, that Ex- militants will be re-employed to secure pipelines across Niger- Delta..Stakeholders is different from Militants. |

ceejay80s: At least there was relative peace there & Nigeria experienced it's fastest economic growth between 2012 -2014 courstesy of the unhindered flow of oil revenue from the region and ND states like Rivers, Akwa Ibom & Delta largely benefitted from it. Buhari destroyed all that with his illiteracy. Is Buhari not mad? |
Re: Ex-militants To Return For Pipeline Protection – FG by Nobody: 9:02am On May 27, 2016 |
longayink: Has Nigeria been fair to be Niger delta...no? but there is a way to address injustices. Has all the monies paid to the militants under the guise of protection contracts enhanced the Niger delta? It has ended in properties, peivate jets etc for a bunch of thugs and proved to them and others that it's a business model that works. The point is settling militants does not resolve the problem. it does not improve the lot of the Niger Delta but it keeps us beholden to them. Have some balls Buhari and take them out! You want to redress the injustice in the Niger Delta, build schools, roads, clean up their land give each of them a monthly aloowance like the Canadians do for the aborigiees, do whatever is needed but do not empower terrorist militants! We are paying the price for empowering previous militants. Let Oil production go to 0 id that is what is needed but never give in to militants |

omoboy88: The government is clueless but your approach is wrong. Will you be happy eating a blood money? For every soul u kill because of oil in the ND, you have created a cycle of hate and violence that your children will inherit. I am not from ND but i believe that regionalism or true federalism is the only lasting solution. I don't believe that some parts of this country can't make it on thier own. I wish our leaders will shun greed and restructure this country instead of playing to the gallery since our existence and passing this bullshit to our unborn children. No matter who is president, this country in this present structure will never move forward. |

dayo23: this NDA are beign supported by wise one. When d Govt. Brings out it solution a spy from d govt. Would also find a way to bypass it. U should not even be happy for this. This is what suits the military aspect in Nigeria to handle and not waste lives... Think Broad, think wise... Bitc**ch.. P.A Nigaa |

You won't see dropshottt omenkkka and Co on topics like this... Their new sherif in town has proven once again he has nothing upstairs. I'm not tribalistic but I've come to the realization that most Yorubas are full of envy, strive and hate. You guys do not produce Oil yet Own Oil blocks cos of the welcoming spirit of the NDs. You at same time feel terrible that People from same region you milk are compensated in anyway. Whats wrong with the Militants guiding pipelines in their creek. The Omoniles in lagos that have nothing but a Swampy Land will never allow anyone know Peace even with the Land Act Degree, Omoniles will show you wonders. Allow the Militants enjoy the benefit they get from Oil same way you allow your omoniles milk Lagos. I'll talk about the AGEROes on a later date. I think the attitude you guys put up on NL is beginning to make me dislike you all... You have problems with IGBOs, Hausas, Binis and even the Peace loving NDs.. I have come to a Conclusion that your problem is You (Timidity, Insecurity, and what have you) Don"t quote me if you've got nothing meaningful to state and note that I'm all out for you guys Just Today though, Cos I'm not at work but in my comfort zone. 1 Like |

Now the gov't realize that Nigeria need peace to move forward afterward; this is the line the gov't would've chosen as he entered into the business of governance. Nigeria should have advance further and better than this level of mediocrity and propaganda currently being witnessed. I advise the gov't to close ranks and ask for Nigerians support and forgiveness irrespective of party alliance and do the needful to better the lot. |

luvinhubby: because the government is not strong willed and is afraid of public and international backlash! ....it seems it is you the matter pass. OBJ would have dealt with them, Buhari has an image problem and so he is hampered as he is likely keen not to be seen as the same old Buhari of 1983, if he attacks they will say same old Buhari...human rights violations etc etc. |

Re: Ex-militants To Return For Pipeline Protection – FG by Nobody: 9:27am On May 27, 2016 |
luvinhubby: Negotiation and financial empowerment are 2 different things. The fact that OBJ was negotiating with them does not mean the final arrangement that was concluded with Umaru would have happenned under OBJ. I am not a fan of OBJ but one thing I know about him is that OBJ will not empower militants with the kind of deal that was done ! |

Frankiss44: Where am I making excuses for Buhari, it seems you only see what you want to see. I clearly said this government is weak and if it had any balls it would take out the militants. settling terrorists/militants is a bad idea whether under Yaradua, GEJ or Buhari because you are always beholden to them. My original post in this thread started with "clueless government." your bias is not allowing you objectivity, go and buy some sense. **** |
