This is why I shake my head at the Biafran agitators. All they want is to simply break away. Break away to what? Do they have a precedence to back up them wanting to be alone? Western Nigeria had all the templates for greatness, with time proven results even up to today. Lagos state is the only state that is generating enough to sustain itself. Oyo, Osun, Ogun, Ondo and Ekiti can all replicate the Lagos template if they have decent leaders. Same has to be said for all of Nigeria though.

I'm telling you that we're just helping them. If they knew what they were plunging themselves into, they won't be shouting.

I'm very sure like you said, that there is absolutely no plan or structure on ground for them to use . No blueprints at all!

I'm almost certain that if they go today, in the next 4 years they'll still be fighting.

So is it Nnamdi Kanu that will be their president or the one selling Biafra passport? grin grin grin

Yes ooo.. Yoruba land is the safest place you can leave and they adopt other tribe easily in Nigeria.

You lots should cease spreading lies everywhere as if Yoruba survival solely depends on it.
If Yorubaland is the safest place for habitation or business why then are Yorubas notoriously known for breeding street urchins and area boys who go about disrupting businesses, harrassing and disturbing the peace of law-abiding citizens?

And just recently why was the SW region not favorably rated by the UN - https://www.nairaland.com/3103641/south-east-safest-place-live-un?

You are deceiving yourself. The gravity of yorubas' stupidity in the last election has not yet dawned on you. Your people gave their 'all' to enthrone a despotic regime. Educated yorubas are worried. Even the area boys are worried; but you are here fooling yourself. Read about the Prodigal Son in the bible. The North will deal with yorubas as has always happened; and when you return to the South, you lose all your rights and standing. There is a price for every decision, brother.

I am a yoruba and I am proud of my heritage wherever I am in the world.

We presently seem to be the only region with no axe to grind with the government because we always allow things to slide and wait for god and karma to fight for us ( I don't know if that is right or wrong but it's ingrained in us so we wouldn't solve any problem with violence and blood.

The ibos and south southerners on the other hand would take no shitt from anyone and are ready to challenge, kick and fight for what they feel slighted for and well if some lives are going to be lost in that course, they accept it too. I admire that greatly about them by the way.

The northerners on the other hands? I reserve my comment.

Nigeria, I strongly believe is a blessed nation and whatever group is feeling slighted and cheated, they have my sympathy.

Which educated Yorubas? And what stupidity?

Stupidity is when you vote again for someone who spent six years impoverishing the country.

Oga there are three more years to go, you all come back to eat your words - that's if you're sensible enough.

But until then, belt up and enjoy the ride. grin

Good statement my dear. But your people do Not wait for God and Karma to fight for you. Your people are very vengeful and are good at killing people with the pen on the pages of newspeper. This is a known fact. And because of appointments, yorubas sold Nigeria to The North. That is a destiny changing mistake only the farsighted can see.

Lies of hypocrisy from a confused slimy fellow...

Yorubas see backstabbing and treachery as ways of life that despite the campaign of calumny and hatred championed by Yorubas against president GEJ, a supposed Ijaw man, was very liberal. GEJ guaranteed Yorubas freedom of speech and freedom after speech. GEJ did not go about assassinating perceived political opponents as was obtained in the previous regime of Obj, a Yoruba man (1999 - 2007)

GEJ allowed Yoruba opposition party to flourish and win elections across the country - a democratic dividend that their own Obj could not offer. Yorubas term themselves as being respectful yet they called GEJ unprintable names. They fabricated and concocted evils and sold them as news to the public just like the bigot so quoted is trying to do.

GEJ was peace-loving and liberal and never sent or forced any Yoruba person on compulsory exile despite all their arrogance and insults against his person.

GEJ was so liberal that in spite of the fact that his State and SS region produce the crude oil wealth for the sustenance of SW region and other parasitic States he allowed the parasitic ingrates to have their way.

GEJ performed far better than Obj, Yorubas do-or-die proponent whose despotic reign was marred with mass corruption, election rigging, financial recklessness and numerous failed projects that brought the country into ruins.

During GEJ's administration the Appeal court’s judgment made the likes of Governor Adams Oshiomhole of Edo State, Governor Olusegun Mimiko of Ondo, Governor Rauf Aregbesola of Osun and former Governor Kayode Fayemi of Ekiti, to assume governorship positions. Such feat was a taboo in Yoruba Obj's time.

Be bold and identify your tribe for a robust engagement...

Meanwhile, you're really confusing Lagos with other SW States. Lagos is a cosmopolitan city built with the sweats and bloods of tribes in Nigeria.

Remember, the Lagoon crooner who threatened to drown Igbos should they refuse to vote in his anointed candidate as governor of Lagos.

Remember, the placards that were brazenly displayed in the streets in support of that xenophobic threat.

Remember also the countless number of destruction of businesses and lawful means of livelihoods by Yoruba miscreants and their evil governments.

Just to educate you further:
In the 1960s, a Fulani man, Umaru Altini was elected the Mayor of Enugu even as Zik was chased away from Lagos State by Awo's tribal area boys after wining an election in SW. T.A Orji of Abia State and Sullivan of Enugu had Yorubas in their cabinets. In Imo State, Rochas has Hausa advicers.
