I got to the embassy around 4:30 am ( plz don't shout... I took it personal).

So I just waited till 5 am when they opened the main gate after which I waited till 6 am for them to call us.

So I was the first person to be interviewed on Windows 2 by one beautiful tall lady. At first I was fridgetting but later got composed.
V.o can I have your docs please?
me: sure, here it is ma'am.
v.o why are you going to the USA?
me: I'm going to the USA to acquire my masters degree in education with a concentration in cognitive science at the Minot state university in North Dakota.
V.O okay thank you.
VO: what will this degree do for you.(looks at me sternly).
Me: Well this degree will increase my insights into the student's learning psychology and help me to be more innovative in my teaching and will help me to be able to train other teachers in the mass literacy group which I belong to in Nigeria on my return back to my country Nigeria. I will also continue with my job at my alma mata. and will have the opportunity to work with my States ministry of education as a curriculum reform personal.
V.O. okay
VO are you single or married?
me : I'm single but engaged.
VO : where did you study for undergraduate
me : University of Lagos.
VO: what course did you study
me: integrated science education.
V.O : Do you teach now?
Me: yes I teach now.
V.O: what was your result?
me: second class upper 4.0/ 5
VO: what do you teach ?
Me: I teach sciences. SS1-2.
VO: okay I will be granting your visa pick up your visa at this location.

The aspect if naira depreciation, it seems its now for the survival of the fittest.

Your dad COFo is your father ties to Nigeria but not yours .

However VO rarely ask for all those now. ........If you have i20 means you have demonstrated to the school that you are capable of paying your fees (either directly or through a sponsor or scholarship)

what is left is how you sell yourself and come across in the interview . They might ask for bank statement to show availability of liquid cash but i think that about it .

Take your time and go through other people transcript and you would learn a thing or two

Thanks for checking up, brotherly. Well, when I saw your post, I had to wait a few more hours because my scores was supposed to be released today, so I can give a better gist. As at this moment, Mackiv has paid the $235, and I can now check my scores. The money has been paid but I do not know whether the scores might later be withheld as it happened on two other occasions. They had earlier sent a clear shot of a western Union check and my attached details. I will give it like a week or two or more, if it stays the same, then, I will rectify the reputation damage.

Modified. I just confirmed from GRE that payment was made with a check. I will wait and see. @aadeyi, thanks.

In my case my school didn't not include my scholarship and my own part of my contribution was not added. Only my sponsor. So I contacted them immediately and within a week I got another one through DHL. Contact your school let them resend it. They will do it gladly. Though I don't know if your school will require you to pay for the DHL bill.

The difference is just too much. Notify the school immediately and have them reissue the i20.... because even if you do get visa that error might be spotted else where and then it would become a problem

i20 not just used for visa, used for entry , ss number application. , driving license, first employment. ...so it needs to be correct

There is no need for repair of reputation, the facts are clear. Your exams was paid with stolen details twice, imagine if you had an oncoming deadline or something.. They are playing chance at Mackiv they pay all with stolen details, some of it will 'cast or bounce' pick your verb and others won't at least not long till after you've used it... I've been played at the game before that was why I insisted you ask for Western Union money order payment.... Oga no retraction will be necessary he is a crook...

the excitement no be here oooo. when I got the visa this morning,
I suddenly developed headache, I started feeling cold, and my body was hot at the same time.
Overall I have not been able to sleep ooooo. I know I really need sleep but sleep never come oooo.. pray for me peeps.
