You're forgetting one thing: In cases like this the thugs would desend harder on the guy, possibly maim him just to prove to the girl that a her guy is nothing. I've seen it happen. But I blame the guy for taking a dangerous path. Prevention is always better.

Der is no need d hound on d dude for chickening out of d situation, he did what he felt was right although he was at fault from d start for taking dat shortcut.
Yess u say he is a pussy for thinking of his own skin(weird), i feel his mistake was just taking d shortcut.

I ones rescued a girl I didn't know around 9:30pm when she was attacked. All 3 guys ran because I gathered courage and acted like a soldier. At the end, they ran and I escorted her to her gate. She asked for number but I obliged and went back home that night. So op, Maybe u are still small or you don't love her.
