All, except the TSA which was to be implemented in phases. This is necessary to enable our banks bear the brunt of the withdrawal of gov't funds from their systems without leading to financial crisis and balance sheet issues, which may lead to losses in profits, thereby entrenching job cuts and losses, hence increasing unemployment. But, alas! The current gov't decided to initiate it wholesomely without considering its ripple effects will be. Of course, it has led to job cuts and loses and even more job losses...

China is 2nd largest economy but has highest number of poor people (800 million)
Singapore doesn't rank but has very high per capita (62,000 dollars)
Nigeria has 2,000 dollars per capita in comparison.
in other words we need to have an economy 30 times what gej is celebrating. that's is to say his pass mark is 3%(1/30) and that is what you are carrying for head, when you're not an illiterate farmer that did not go to school bag una no do statistics and quantitative aptitude for primary school
So what is the current stats now?

Shut up if you don't have any meaningful thing to contribute. Who was the most outstanding minister in Jonathan's regime? Adesina, a Yoruba man. The best achievement of the last administration came from agriculture, a ministry supervised by a Yoruba man.

What did Igbo technocrats do other than plunging Nigeria back into debt, supervised the looting of our treasury and drown the future of Nigeria in an ocean of economic hearrmohage?

There were other outstanding ministers. Barth Nnaji and Prof. Nebo (Igbos) revamped the power sector. Okonjo Iweala (SS/Delta Igbo) gave us Africa's largest economy and one of the fastest growing in the world. General Ihejirika (Igbo) introduced Counter Insurgency trainings, transforming the Army from a conventional force to a seasoned force in assymetric warfare.

Then keep quiet if you do not have verifiable facts.

But seriously, are you inferring that both regimes are faced with the same political and economic challenges?

which shows that Jona and Co were just patching things along. they had 5 years to implement it. they didn't. and they were just dashing money to bankers who were adding zero value to our system. guy see there is fire on the montane and we have a serious mess to clean up cos all these our elders no just try for us. we are on our own. my own is thank goodness pdp is not there to loot. if they want power they should share some of our wealth with us otherwise we vote for kowa in 2027

The most corrupt Iwelala and Arouma Ote? Are there no other persons in Nigeria except these people except madam puff-puff Iweala who was forming sick at the meeting to defend her financial looting while gulping down tons of groundnut? She was told to go back and come back later and when she saw that the reps were not buying her lies, she wanted to turn it to a fight as soon as the cameras were rolling. Iweala is corrupt and in any sane country, she should be behind bars now or standing trial for her stealing!

Evil treacherous Yorubas are always scheming to smear, vilify malign and besmirch every Igbo person...especially successful Igbo women which they can not match.

Why are you turncoats so envious of successful Igbo women? We all know your women are so dirty, unintelligent and useless; instead of learning from Igbos, you resort to your cowardly behaviour of denigrating, smearing and spreading falsehood. Shame on you chameleons.....it's not our fault you can't point one well educated, intelligent and successful Yoruba woman.

FYI, it is your religion you should blame. 60% of you are muslims which does not allow women to progress, the same goes for northern Nigeria.

You want to spread your evil propaganda against Mrs NOI because of your envy of her success.

Don't mind them.

This is a typical envy Yorubas have for successful Igbo ladies because their women are non achievers.
Can you point one Yoruba woman in the calibre of Okonji Iweala, Oby Ezekwesiri, Chimamanda Aduchie, Aruma Ote, Dora Akunyelu, Mrs Odua etc? Yorubas marry them off too early, they reluctantly send them to school, they're more interested in staging best owambe in town than sending their girls to the best schools. This is quite opposite of Igbo families.... we send our girls to Harvard if we can afford it; thank God they have the brain to study too.

The whole thing is simply envy.

Des are some of the best hands nigeria can offer if not the best cabnet in history. But to handle qualities like this, you need a tough leader and a strong decison maker.
Otherwise people like dis will certainly mess u up like thy did in the last administration.

No, Buhari must not bring them back. I don't want to hear APC fans blaming GEJ's team for economic failures.

Let him raise his own team and take the credit or blame if it goes wrong.

Rice was 8,500 per bag under them and is selling 15,000 now.

Fuel sold for 87 per liter under them & is selling 145 now.

Nigeria was at 9% inflation & is on 14% inflarion today.

Not to talk of unemployment, education, economy & aviation.

What other facts do you want?

Imported rice brought in under import duty waiver . They destroyed the entire local rice production in 2015 because local rice was more expensive . It was cheap because no duty was paI'd and a lot of it was also smuggled in.

Funny enough it was a technocrat like Iweala that brought this stupid idea that cost Nigeria 2 billion dollars

When you have the likes of Lai Muhammad at the helm of affairs, you will not wonder why things are stalling. Instead of putting real brains to work, he installed northerners who are not always known for strategy. Even Fashola that did well as a governor has no clue as to what is happening because he's a SAN. Bunch of square pegs in a round hole!

Duty waivers is a global practice adopted to keep essential survival commodities like staple foods affordable to low income earners & it was a temporary arrangement done to cushion the price of rice since the govt was stimulating local rice production which was grossly inadequate.

If these guys had continued, maybe this country would have been miles ahead than it's present state now. Ask yourself: does Nigeria detest corruption more than USA,UK etc that keep on given these guys more award and responsibilities? Nigerians should hide their heads in shame for once again,we've been deceived and set back by like 30 years.
Tribalism and political afiliation won't allow them do that.

Waivers are very essential to a growing economy as far as it's being checked. Once again tribalism won't let people think straight. Apparently it's the duty of one tribe to derve I to import biz who told the rest not to jump I to that biz??

Compare and contrast the young, vibrant, intelligent, beautiful, forward looking Nigerians that the world is proud of and exporting from Nigeria as compared to the old deadwoods bereft of ideas using archaic methods to solve modern day problems.
We need to get them out fast before the all pull the nation don with them because they are already on their way down.

God bless the GEJ selection team. They have all been vindicated and moved on with their careers. These ones that are there now are professional politicians they have no where to go other than jumb from PDP to APC or from army to politics.

You keep talking of foreign reserve.
How old where you when few govt from the SW pus one Amaechi from the SS took the FG to court to share that much needed savings which helped us during the recession? We forgot did we?
Importation has not been and would not be a problem if local policies are gotten right. China imports more than we do
The UK imports more than us and they are just 65milion people.plantain and bananas get imported.
Toothpick are imported into the UK
These are market driven and has nothing to do with politics.
Our heritage is not solid cos we as people have failed to develop ourselves. We can all learn from china and India. The first tier of govt are corrupt even the non public sector are worse off.
What we as Nigerians need is some sound and robust Economic policies to reset the economy.
These 4 people especial that guy the Agricultural minister was the best we ever had.I wud give my hat up for PMB if he could re state him.In a sane country that would have been the case.
The finance sector was growing. We had loads of invested intrest then and loads of forex was coming in.We had a well oiled financial machine that where fulfilling it's KPIs.now we are nose diving. All we hear is cost of oil and corruption. Fine these are the case but still we had all these years back.
So what's the way 4 ward? ?blame the past fg for the next 9 yrs?

Can't you yourself see the state of the nation?
Is she the president or the coordinator/finance minister?

Was and Is arenot the same thing.

Those occupying the IS position should take responsibility of the bad state of the country. That is the only thing that can make them steer the economy the direction they want it to go. It is going down before their eyes all they could do is accuse.

In all honesty and what we now know the answer is YES so far.
But me think the reason we never took them serious then was cos we had nothing to compare them to.we had no wide range of information streams 10 years ago and statistics where nearly non existent b4 GEJ came to the limelight. .We had no KPIs to mesure performance.
I hoping some of these guys in power will sit back and think of where they gt it wrong even if it means going back to some of the old policies as far as it changes things for the good
