I will reckon you first contact the necessary hospital where you are intending to get treatment . On the Uk page which you can go read more ....You might need to provide additional documents if you’re visiting the UK for private medical treatment. Good luck.

go to documents you require...

dtraveler:
I have previously applied and successfully gotten 6 months, 2 years visas, and considering going for a 5years visa.

I want to ask 2 questions from the house.

1. My passport which i got about 9 months ago has about 4years plus to expire, how will this work? 5 years visa cannot be issued on a passport with less than 5 years validity so u need to get a new passport or apply for another 2 years .. your choice. Attach old passport with new when applying

2. During application, I was asked if I had any criminal case pending. I actually do, but I want to know if this will affect my application. You see, I was owing my landlord and he got me involved with the police and didn't bulge and the case is still going through trial, obviously this is a civil case, but it's been on for since 2014... Is it wise to state this on my application or simply to ignore it? it is not a criminal case except you are not telling us the full depth of what happened. It is more or less a civil case (frontpagelawyer am i right). So it is important you know how to word it in the additional information box. if you have the reference case number you can input it too. I have seen a case on youtube where a man lied at the police station and when he was applying in nigeria on interview they told him the whole case, that he lied to the police in uk.. . so bruv the choice is yours. Good luck

Thank you. Appreciate you guys a great deal.

It's a criminal case as long as it's the case of the Police vs dtraveler. I also have concurrent civil case with my landlord, so I do know the difference. I think I will attach a copy of the charge sheet.

Nigeria only gives 5years passport. Nothing more. And I don't want to apply for 2years anymore. And I cannot get antoher passport until this expires, or can I? it still as: 4years and 3 months to expire.
Re: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 3 by tunderule2016: 6:42pm On Jun 07, 2016
Then you have to state it in there then.... as i said earlier u will have to state the whole scenario but from your second message i can deduce it is something very serious... so please do state it in there .

Yes i know nigeria gives 5 years.... come to think of it .. the uk issues 10years visa for nigerian applicants so obviously they can issue the 5 years on the 4 years 3 months visa...

What you have is not a criminal case. I don't think anyone here can advise you better on what to write on your application. If you ask me, indicate that NO you don't have a criminal case, what you have is something that can be settled out of court between you and your landlord but one of you decided to use the court instead of forceful eviction. Am sure if the landlord see his money or whatever the case maybe, then this case will be withdraw from the court. So what do say if God forbid this application didn't go your way.
Criminal case is something that can make you ineligible to have a visa

Nothing to sniff into, nothing can be serious between one and his landlord. or abi?... Can be a stubborn tenant, stubborn landlord, nothing new.

You are confusing me to be honest... (u saying u also have means u have two cases...)which is why am so confused... here is your sentence below ...

It's a criminal case as long as it's the case of the Police vs dtraveler. I also have concurrent civil case with my landlord,

if it is not a criminal case which i said from my first message before u confused me, then u dont have to make it a big deal.... but did u do any finger prints? if No then you are fine... you could chose not to include it ....
But if your answer is YES please include in application. Good luck

There's a lot of wisdom in what diamondsare4eva wrote. and I think you should get to read it again.

Technically, it's a criminal case. But in reality, it's not criminal due to the the nature of the landlord trying to criminalize a civil case. And there in lies the wisdom.

The british definition of a crime is definitely not the same as this. The police is not even supposed to get involved in stuff like this.

The whole goal is to for a landlord to get paid. not for a person to become a criminal.

Re: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 3 by diamondsare4eva: 3:38pm On Jun 08, 2016
What you have is a civil case and no one will say they have not had anything to do with the court. Do not go and fill that in your application because you will just shoot yourself in the leg and rubbish your travel history either now or in the future and even in any EU countries because they have a Data protection act that protects all EU countries to share information. Your case is nothing. If you are owing the Landlord or he is owing you, try and resolve this outside the court and save yourself any headache.

Hi everyone, i am not sure if this is the right place to ask this question but would be delighted for your assistance.

I'm trying to sort out my company's tax and kind of confused about it, i have looked on FIRS website and the calculation thing just didn't add up, i also checked their list of tax accredited consultants and i have been in contact with one guy in Ibadan but am not sure of what to expect.

My company is A Real Estate firm, incorporated in NOV. 2015 but started operation with bank account stuff in march 2016.

Thanks for your assistance and referral.

Hello house...

I submitted application on the 25th of May in Ikeja for a 2year visit visa and did NOT pay for priority service (after my bank charged me 185k for visa fee my eyes became very very red smiley )...

I have to be in another European country by Friday for work...and would need to get my passport back by Wednesday at the latest... has anyone had this issue before?

I know I can ask for my passport back and forfeit the visa fee paid but does anyone know how long it takes to get the passport back?

I'd let the house know whatever happens in my case so it can help someone else later.

I really appreciate the great work done here. This forum has been really helpful.

Hello house, last week, I needed information on withdrawing my UK visa application but didn't get any from here. I promised to share my own experience.

1. I called UKVI (you need your debit card for this call), was told my application had not been assessed and to withdraw it I'd have to go to Teleperformance-takes 48-72hrs

2. I went to ikeja Teleperformance with my collection slip and was given a form to fill and asked to make a copy of the form (You'd need to go with some extra cash or your card to pay for this)

3. I was told the passport will be ready in 3-4 working days as I don't have that long to wait I asked if there was anything I could do. I was told to just pray that sometimes it comes in 2days.

4. Thirty minutes later I get a mail that a decision had been made on my application... phew... I'm now not sure if my application was withdrawn or If it was still assessed.

5. This happened yesterday... hopefully id get my passport tomorrow and update the house

Hope this helps someone else

I really do not think so... as it is in your child name not yours... and secondly, money to be used for uk visa application has to be in your name or someone sponsoring you.

The Investment and Fixed deposit Certificate are financial instrument, even though it belongs to your child; you can submit it since you facilitated it. The certificate increases your chances of getting a visa (economy ties), however it is very important you submit your salary account statement/personal bank statement with good history of inflows and outflows because that is where you have the funds that is readily available for your proposed trip.

Or liquidate into your account so as to have sufficient funds
Or get a letter from the bank stating that the money will be available to you before travel date

Get a registered audit firm to do the filling for you. If you are in Abuja, I can connect you with a competent one.

Do you want to run a 6months basis account system? Advisable to make it a yearly thing. In your case, you have options of either February to March every year or Jan - Dec. So practically you can't have a year record till say this Oct and you can still operate for next 6months (April 2017) before you must (compulsory) fill your first CITax and eduTax

Update

Got my passport today with a 2-year visa stamped on it. I guess I was really lucky I didn't lose the money eventually...

Lessons learnt: Apply early... if not, pay for priority or just go to Abuja... lol

This is my first time applying in Lagos... before now, I always applied in Abuja and would get my passport in 3days without paying for priority.

Have a great day

Same advice that everyone gets.
Read back in this section and visit the UK visa website.
Read and learn for yourself, then ask any detailed questions.

This hasn't happened to me with the UK but with another European Country. I missed their calls and couldn't get back to them... so I went ahead to send an email to the embassy and then they called back.

For the UK... you can either email them (they respond within 24hours) or call them to explain your case. I called UKVI last week when I wanted to cancel my application.

Go to https://ukvi-international.faq-help.com
Select the country you're living in and you will see the email or call option.

Have your GWF number ready and if you're calling, have your ATM card ready as well

Hope this helps.
