AT TIMES I WISH I COULD HAVE THE ABILITY TO HIBERNATE MYSELF INORDER NOT TO TAMPER WITH MY GOOD POSITIONS... . IF THERE BE ANY VIRTUES, PATIENCE IS THE CROWN OF THEM ALL...... . IT IS EXTREMELY DIFFICULT TO BE PATIENT, I DONT KNOW WHY..... . I USED TO BE A PATIENT GUY, AS A FARMER, UNTIL I ARRIVED HERE. THIS ZONE OF PLANT BY 10.30AM, CHECK EVERY MINUTE UNTIL 14:30PM EVERYDAY..... . I WISH FARMING COULD HAVE JIJO CAPABILITY... . YOU PLANT IN THE MORNING, GO BACK AND DIG UP THE SEEDS TO BE SURE THEY ARE READY TO GERMINATE.... . WATER THE FOLLOWING MORNING, DIG BACK IN THE EVENING TO BE SURE YOU AND THE SEEDS ARE ON THE SAME PAGE... 14 Likes 3 Shares |

megainvest: My sincere advice: I USE THIS PRINCIPLE: I KNOW UNITY BANK IS CHAFF BUT ZENITH DELIVERS. IF I PUT N100K IN ZENITH TODAY, I MAY END UP WITH N90K BY NEXT WEEKEND OR LESS, THOUGH ITS A BETTER AND CONFIRMED STOCK. I PUT THE 100K IN UNITY, THEN CARRY MY BIBLE AND GOES ON DAILY VIGIL FOR ONE WEEK. GOD HEARS MY PRAYERS, I SELL NEXT WEEK ON WEDNESDAY AND GET 140K. I THEN PUT IN ZENITH BANK THAT HAS PULLED BACK. AFTER 6-MONTHS-1YRS, I HEAR PEOPLE SHOUTING ABOUT HOW THEY DID NOT SELL THEIR UNITY CHAFF AT N1.4 NB: THE STOCK MARKET HAS NO FORMULA, EVEN THE UNCERTAINTY PRINCIPLE IN PHYSICS AMAZES THE BEST EQUATIONS/CHARTS ON THE EXCHANGE! I DID THIS WITH FCMB AND GOT TRAPPED...... |

@ DeRuggedProf you are right. The market is very unpredictable. Anything can happen overnight and the stock will change course right before your eyes. Unity movement is because TUC said they want to acquire 57% (or so) of the bank. Any news can hit the market tonight and another stock will take off just like that 1 Like |

The oando deal is good news for the banks involved. This may be a signal that a bank like FCMB will have a better loan book with lower NPL in Q2 result. Pls does anybody here know the specific individuals / companies owing Skye bank? 1 Like |

Oga Megainvest , I have been doing some UCAP DD based on this article http://www.thisdaylive.com/index.php/2016/05/26/united-capital-gains-n1-5bn-from-sale-of-insurance-firm/ "The purchase consideration for the shares in United Metropolitan Nigeria Life amounted to N3.25 billion and the transaction closed on 10 May, 2016. United Capital realised a capital gain of N1.5 billion from the transaction" If as at Dec 2015, the carrying value of Met Life was already N2.2b and they sell for N3.2b then the gain is supposed to be only N1bn not N1.5bn. (also note that this calculation does not involve the increase in carrying value as at Q1 2016 from associate share of profit) Do you think their half year results will be then be as spectacular as the yoots are hoping? (I dey fear a case of the more you look, the less you see)
