Asking on behalf of a friend, for someone that attended school of Nursing in Nigeria and got her RN, whats the best route to enrol and get a nursing degree here in the states?

Have you authorized your bank to activate your card for transaction in the US? Cos CBN authorized all banks to block all cards from intl transaction since last year. So you need to call your bank and tell them to authorize it if you have not done so.

Also because of the current dollar crisis some banks have started stopping the cards from intl transaction. Fidelity bank am very sure of. So just call your bank ask.

I've been admitted to a Ph.D program in Health outcomes and Policy at West Virginia University, received a Graduate assistantship that covers full Tuition and a Large annual stipend too. Have my I-20 and booked my interview for Abuja Embassy this Saturday 11-June-2016.
My little fear is that I have been refused F1 visa twice in 2005 when I wanted to go for my Undergraduate study in the US. I eventually stayed back and completed studies in Nigeria.
I've prayed about it and I will come here and give you guys the Testimony for all who are still expecting theirs.
God is Faithful and will bring it to pass.

You don't really have a problem,that was like 12years ago. I believe you didn't give the visa officers tangible reasons to grant you a student visa then. Now you have a better advantage with your graduate assistant and a full tuition waiver that's great. You just need to be able to tell a VO this time things that has changed since your last interviews some years ago and why you choose the major now and your school. All the best.

Did your secondary school issue you a statement of result? If they did and if this statement doesn't reflect your date of birth, you might wanna try taking this with you for your interview instead of your WAEC certificate.

It's true. But we should realise that this is for undergrad admissions. Grad admission rates are totally different and can vary widely from year to year.

Electrical Engineering. He would do a pre masters, take leveling courses, after which he would go for the main degree. And they still gave him visa. Though he had to take some courses even after getting there, before he was allowed to register for classes.

Hi dear, mind you I did not submit the old ds 160 when I used the confirmation number to book appointment. So when I saw the error, I only filled out a new ds 160 for lagos and updated my profile on the appointment page to reflect the new ds 160 code. The bar code on the appointment page was changed accordingly before I submitted the new ds 160. So, if you've already submitted your ds 160, it might be a different issue all together. Whatever you do though, be sure that the ds 160 bar code matches with the one on your appointment page.

Bro not in all cases do they ask for 6 months validity. I know of a person who after getting his visa had to renew the passport and then he presented both at poe and the new passport was stamped after looking at the visa on the old.

You can renew 6 months before it expires.... at least that what i did last year
