A country director in a subsidiary company doesn't earn the amount you are quoting. She's wasn't a USD employee or what you call expatriate. She was a local staff, with ONE year as a Director before becoming a Cabinet Minister. Would she take a salary cut to become a minister if government service didn't offer better prospect.

In summary, Deziani worked in Shell from 1992 and rose to Executive Director in 2006, that is over 14 years. Thereafter, she served as a Federal Minister for 9 years. Headed OPEC and led the Ministry of Petroleum resources. Do you really think that such a woman cannot afford jewelries? Let us make sensible assertions my friend!!!

It pains me to note that govt alone is not the problem of Nigeria but 99 out of 100% of its citizens are our problem.
