Ideally, devaluing the naira is to encourage exports, because the prices of local products serve as an incentive and a toast for foreign buyers. In the process, we earn foreign exchange, increase production and create additional jobs.

Unfortunately, that is not the position with Nigeria as we are an import dependent country.

Just today, there was a tactical devaluation of our currency leaving a free floating naira and this should be advantageous to the economy in the long run
I must say, I am impressed.

While I can not totally agree on Seun's decision to ban forex trading and football betting on nairaland, as I believe everyone should have the right to choose what is wrong or right from the site, as long as it is not illegal or morally wrong, I also I understand why Seun took the decision because generally betting discourages youths from investing their time and energy in profitable investment.

Nevertheless, I believe sports betting should be an expression of an individuals passion for whatever sports that interests them. I believe more people need to be educated on the reasons why they should engage in such ventures.

In my opinion presiding over a country goes beyond having a 'certificate' (which is paramount by the way), it has to do with understanding the way a country works, the driving force of a typical Nigerian on the streets, the working structure already existing.

Of course, having a certificate is a prerequisite for becoming a president, but it should not be the deciding factor on the leadership capabilities, economically soundness and emotional clearness needed for a leader of a great nation such as Nigeria. Robert Mugabe is currently the world's most educated president while Abraham Lincoln is one American least educated president. Between the two of them, who would you rather have govern Nigeria right now?

Yes sire, I see myself winning this. I'm intelligent and articulate. I've got a magnetic personality that makes me unique. I am calm, poised, gracious, reserved and likeable.

On the prize money, i and my team members have decided to use it for our charity project to help people fighting depression.

Lanicky ivyy , what will be the first thing on your mind if Seun walks in majestically on this thread and tells you he loves you and want to marry you and what will be your reply?
Proposals are not firmed up over the cyberspace. Firstly you need to be closer to your buddy and fratanise with him or her physically. However, my reaction would neither be yes or no tongue.

Ivyy, Lanicky, ChubbyT

Who have it easier in life, men or women and why?

What is the essence of being a woman and do you think a woman must be married to be seen as accomplished? And why?

Do you support euthanasia and why?

Should your chosen/intending career don't materialise well, what alternative career goal do you have?

Please ignore any question that has been asked earlier as I couldn't peruse through the entire pages. Thanks.

Hehehe... I pray it doesn't happen to me. Like seriously, i'll feel seriously bad about it. But no, I won't leave him..I married him for better for worse.. I also married him out of love, smiley since I'm a Christian and I have strong faith in God and have heard several testimonies of people who used to be impotent and were healed by God..so we'll just pray about it and trust in God.
We might even adopt children for the main time. smiley
