Manonamission:
Hmm... I expect SKYE to track FCMB not Fidelity. But I think Fidelity has more upside potential considering that FCMB just rallied to its current price and is expected to find a strong support first. Fidelity is yet to rally, besides based on current result, Fidelity is a better buy (or so I think). To buy FCMB at current price dey do my body one kain cheesy
Noted sir. Let's watch and see in the next 2-3 weeks grin

How do we interpret the VOLUME in UBA as regards its price trend going forward?
I am tempted to think some big investors are exiting. It is always the first to go on massive offer when the bulls lose steam. About 350mil in 2 days now.

i work with them. you need an initial deposit of 5M to trade with them.
their online trading platform is not like Morgan capital and the rest.

i have morgan capital as well and i have pulled all my fund out from stanbic. just peanuts remaining there for them and transferred to morgan.

its left for you to make your selection.
he good thing about Stanbic is that they can sell some kind shares that is hard to dispose off
Thank you, I thought that the initial deposit was N1m. How is their online trading platform different please? How do you find the client service at Morgan, and what is their initial deposit, if any?

http://nairametrics.com/list-of-banks-that-meet-cbns-criteria-for-primary-market-dealers-fxpds/

From the data above, only FBNH, Zenith, UBA and GTB meet these criteria and thus currently qualify as FXPD’s. Other banks may well have to raise additional capital to stand a chance of joining this esteem club. Will this lead to a race to raise capital for most banks? We are in interesting times.

What about Access Bank?

Based on nairametrics analysis, GTB has 36.1% liquidity ratio, similar to Access Bank with 37.6%. If they are excluding Access Bank based on liquidity criteria, GTB should be excluded as well. Meaning only FBNH, Zenith and UBA meets CBN criteria.

House can we please put on our speculative hat for this. What do we think the trajectory of OANDO price will be? Will N10 be a reasonable exit price for short to medium term or that's too ambitious?
Re: Nigerian Stock Exchange Market Pick Alerts by cadno(m): 4:34pm On Jun 16, 2016
Oando Na mad Dog, when it moves . N10 is too near now looking at the way this market is currently. The FX float might move It to like N15 before it slows down..watching

I'm scared of JIJO... could have sold at N2.51 yesterday but I'm worried that re-entry at a better price (after broker fees) will be difficult if everything pans out as it should

I'm thinking Foreign Investors may not respond positively to this free float immediately (tomorrow tomorrow). They may want to see the market settle first as initialy we may have wide variance due to pent up demand. This is in turn could translate to about a week or more of bi-directional movement in the NSEASI before a more definite upward trend for a while. Abi?

Hello People,

This is not a big deal. I made the above comment two days ago but I've thought about it some more now and realize I may have been wrong. If FX rate is expected to start very high (as much as N370/$) early next week and undulate till it finally settles close to N250/$ some weeks later (according to CBN), then the following trend is rather more likely:-

FPIs should actually prefer to rush in while the Naira is at it's most depreciated level (probably early next week) and then come out when it has appreciated significantly to around that N250 range. Without a gain or loss in their investments they stand to make an increase of at least 350/250 = 40%. This provides a form of hedge because if even they invest and make a loss, to an extent they can still come out with some profit, IF the Naira appreciates later. So maybe we should expect FPI early next week.

This is not so straightforward obviously as there'd be counter-balancing forces from pent-up local dollar demand and all that. Anyway it's just a thought.
