If you are still serving in Nigeria,NYSC must reflect in filling your application, while your PPA is where you are posted, where you can be a teacher, etc which is occupation,no need to argue on that....We are here to learn from each other so as to have a successful application
RealJ:

Really....what is the meaning of occupation? Is NYSC an occupation? NYSC is the organization that posts you to your place of primary assignment. Is it only people that work in NYSC secretariat that are youth corpers?
Bro, abeg there is no reason to argue, correct yourself.

if you are applying online, don't bother yourself about that. It's only necessary for those applying by paper.

Good day house, God is in control surely.

I have a question please. I had been denied visa on the ground of low employment prospects in my country. My course was then arts and social science undergraduate level. I now changed the course to business administration and I got accepted, please do u have to include in my sop that I changed the course or they already know?

You don't need to mention that. Its a new application and it will be treated as one. Just let them know why you are going for the course and how the course will benefit you upon your return to Nigeria. #Godspeed.

The basic guidelines are on the CIC website. Check the website first.

If you're still serving, just put Nysc in your present activity/occupation. And then put your PPA as organisation or company.

If you don't reflect Nysc as your present occupation or activity, it will be deemed that you are actually fully employed and as such further proof will be required by VOs such as employment letter, study leave, pay stubs etc.

If you're still serving, to be safe just put NYSC as present occupation/activity and ur ppa as organisation to avoid story that touch.

I applied may 3rd. Did upfront medicals, medical passed about 3wks after... I haven't heard anything since then. You need to be patient cos some people applied before then and are yet to be called for medicals.

Yeah i know that feeling. The truth is we cannot handle our application ourselves... so the best we can do is hope and pray. Do not loose hope my dear friend.
