It's advised to avoid anything that can trigger purging in pregnancy ( especially early stage) so if u like ur pepper soup spicy ( pepperish as we call it) , it's better to take a break for awhile cos I believe spicy foods make sm ppl purge. I ate pepper soup during pregnancy bt ALWAYS prepared by me so I know hw much spice/pepper i'm putting inside.

Baby O is 5 months, his limbs are not strong enough to propel him in a walker, hence the stress & pains... I don't put kids in walker till they are 6mths, that wrapper thing I don't understand (it's supposed to help with balance), never tried it, so I can't judge....

What does PLACENTA PREVIA mean and what are the implications? Went for a scan today and that was what I was told, couldn't see the gynae cos he has been in surgery since 10am till now and I had to go back to work.
I remember someone here mentioning it, I think it's enkaydewdrop. Pls if anyone can help with info, I'd appreciate cos i'd want to know what we are up against...lol.

hello mam...i had it at 16wks scan..it means d placenta is low lying bt it can move up b4 due date..mine has moved up so pls no worries..sabi mamas will explain more.

Mum Fortius has already explained. But when scan shows you no longer have placenta previa, please check, check again and double check with at least different sonographers to be sure the placenta is not low lying before you're due. Placenta previa can lead to complications in pregnancy. Don't mean to scare you but just stay safe and work with your gynaecologist

there's nothing to be scared about placenta previa. just Google it up and read about it.

Hello sabi mamas, please i need your opinion. Today is ANC but my obgyn was unavailable. He was handling a surgery at the theater so i couldnt see him. I've been having this sharp pain close to my belly button(navel) since yday evening. It pained me for almost 10minutes and then stopped.
At the hospital this morning it started again and i couldnt even stand up from the chair. The dr on duty said its normal pregnancy pain but i should go for a scan. The scan shows all is well.
Right now it has started again. Very sharp unbearable pain. I just don't know what could be wrong. Pls help.

Assume it never happened, it's not easy that I can understand but you know what? Your mental state is very important for that precious child you hold in your arms. Find a place in your heart to forgive after having an open discussion with him where you pour out your grievances and then let go! You can't come this far and allow another unworthy person to steal your joy.

Liftedhands, what u need now is the SPIRIT OF FORGIVENESS, such thing is difficult to forget but let the spirit of forgiveness overshadow it and move on, u ve won the battle already (Ekene is the testimony here), try and erase it and start afresh. Walkers should be used from 6mths upwards at times 7mths sef. He's too small to be put in a walker

my dear, ditch the walker! It affects children negatively. u can get him other toys to aid his crawling like a racing car so that he runs after it. my son learnt how to work from inside his cot. he holds the edges and walks around. dat was hw he gained balance and started moving round the house by 9 months.
