Help! Ecobank Debited My Account Without Dispensing The Cash

Please nairalanders help me push this message till it gets to buhari if possible. My friend tried making a withdrawal through her ecobank ATM and her account was credited without dispensing the cash. All effort to resolve the issue proved abortive cos the bank's branch manager is being indifferent.

Things are hard this time. It is even harder for a student and to be ripped off by an institution that is meant to safeguard your money is just not fair. That's day time robbery.


Ecobank awka please and please, credit this poor girls account and upgrade your system.

Wisely you can lodge this complain to their customer care. I have bank with these banks for years now and have never experienced delay of refund cash. If you are debited without money been paid they will accredit your account. Just follow up nd be patient

By the time you begin deal with dem, the kind beg wey their MD and Awka branch manager go beg you ennnn....e go pass Zenith Bank people own; na ground dem go lie down beg you.

In the main time, just use their customer care and continue pressurizing them. They would surely return your money. Patience dear.

I doubt if she will get that money back without filling 50 forms and going through screening interviews.

You almost got me confused. I believe you meant debited.

Do you know the name of that branch manager? Add his name. Let's call him out, to hear his take on this issue.
They won't take an average joe seriously until sufficient hue and cry is raised in the media.

There's one person here who commented that how much money was involved that made this lady take it up this way....
Well, it's usually poor people who reasons that way. She probably didn't mention the amount involved because of folks like that. It doesn't matter how much the money was. Getting cheated hurts. It's the principle and injustice behind it that is so offensive.

Ecobank! The same bank that formed a merger with Oceanic bank which systematically frustrated my NYSC account with them in 2011/2012.
Till date I still have a handful of thousands in that bank which I can't withdraw simply because they won't let me close the account and/or take everything therein.
Ecobanks new motto should be; MAKING THE RICH RICHER AND THE POOR POORER.
