I wish all men will hear and harkens to the word of God, because that is the only way you can be a threat to kingdoms of darkness.
Not by going to church and singing at the top of your voice. sin is a reproach, you need to run away from sin,
The adage that says "what goes around comes around is right. let no man deceive you by making you feel comfortable in sin. because the wages of sin is death, it may not just be physical death alone. sin can also cause you spiritual death even when you are alive going about your daily duties. say no to sin and yes to obedience unto God's word.

Heaven is real but sin is a reproach.

Is anyone thinking of heaven this morning? search from the bible read the word of God, if you have no time to read the word of God this morning because of your already scheduled appointments,
Keep thinking of heaven, keep imagining it, keep talking it because it will help you to stay away from sin. It helps you to abstain from sins when you remember that there is an eye that is watching over whatever you do and a day of reconning will come when you will be transformed and go away from this planet to meet with the one who have been watching over you and you will be accountable for all you have done when you were alive and that will determine whether you are qualified to stay with the Master of the universe in that beautiful home called HEAVEN, where there is pain, no gnashing of teeth, oh where all is well, where there is no bad economy, oh heaven my beautiful home.
Or you are going to the endless burning, hot home called HELL where you will stay and be gnashing your teeth, weeping and be singing with pain all over you Ooooooh had I know! haaaaad I follow Christ!.

Today choose to stay away from sin, the sinful pleasures of this world cannot sustain you on that day.
Choose to make heaven today, ask God for the grace and knowledge to make heaven and you will be glad you did.

John. 14:2
In my Father's house are many
mansions: if it were not so, I would
have told you. I go to prepare a place
for you.

May we all not be absent in heaven on the last day in Jesus name.

BEFORE YOU SLEEP:

They distort, tweak or totally misrepresent issues, stories and facts....They just lied!

Did you realize when you told that lie that even though they didn't confront you with it,They knew you lied and they were very disappointed.

Tell a lie once and all your 'Truth' becomes questionable!

Lofty and high earned reputation crashes like a pack of cards once lie is detected.

The truth may hurt for a little while,a lie hurts forever.

A lie may take care of the Present but it has no Future.

Once you start believing your lies and telling it over and over again, then you are simply depraved and unbelievably wicked!

After a lie, Apology might be accepted but Trust might be totally lost.

Lying to those who love, trust and care about you is such a horrible thing to do.

The Truth doesn't cost anything but a lie could cost everything!

Stay on the Path of Truth and Integrity; In this season- NO MORE WHITE, BLACK, BLUE OR YELLOW LIES!

Goodnight.

BREAK THAT CYCLE

“And they came to Jericho: and as he went out of Jericho with his disciples and a great number of people, blind Bartimaeus, the son of Timaeus, sat by the highway side begging.”
(Mark 10: 46)

That is the Focal Scripture of Streams of Joy Devotional today.

According to Bible commentators, one in every five men was blind in the days of Bartimaeus. Blindness was a common problem that anyone could have encountered in the days of Bartimaeus. If one cared to look around, more blind men would have been discovered.

Though blindness was common, Bartimaeus pushed for healing. He didn’t accept the commonality he was about to share with others who were blind. Others may have accepted blindness but Bartimaeus did not accept it. A common disease met an uncommon man who refused the trend.

Friend, don't accept the status quo. Don't accept any negative commonality. Don’t accept negativity in your life simply because others have accepted it; don’t accept that any negative trend or misfortune will be your portion simply because someone else has accepted it; reject any negativity that has happened to people around you; refuse every negative commonality.

Bartimaeus met Jesus, and he broke away from the negative commonality he shared with those who were blind in his days. If you have a covenant with God, and if only you can encounter God, your case will be different from the case of others. Your connection to Jesus is all you need to break away from every cycle of negativity that others may be caught in.

Your case is different if you share a relationship with Jesus. Stay connected to Jesus and He will break you out of every cycle of negativity that wants to pull you down.

Matthew 15 vs. 13 says: “...Every plant, which my heavenly Father hath not planted, shall be rooted up.”

Prayer: Lord, I break out of the cycle of negativity; the negativity that happens to others will not happen to me, in Jesus’ name! Amen

NO MORE CONTRADICTIONS

“...blind Bartimaeus, the son of Timaeus, sat by the highway side begging.”
(Mark 10: 46)

That is the Focal Scripture of Streams of Joy Devotional today.

Our Focal Scripture speaks of blind Bartimaeus, son of Timaeus. ‘Timaeus’ means ‘honour’. So Bartimaeus was a son of honour, but he was blind and was a beggar. His descent was honourable, but his situations were dishonourable. He had an elitist descent but a peasant situation. There was a contradiction between his name and situation.

The contradiction in Bartimaeus' life was not where his story ended; he met Jesus and his story changed. He encountered Jesus, and he received his sight and put off his beggar’s garment. He encountered Jesus and the contradiction in his life was resolved; he encountered Jesus and the circumstances that were inconsistent with his name gave way.

Friend, God says, every contradiction in your life is about to give way; everything in your life that is inconsistent with God’s word and God’s promise over your life is about to give way; everything in your life that mocks your walk with God is about to give way; God will soon turn your story around, and everyone who knew where you were will be shocked at the next level God will take you to.

God says, it is not over yet; you may be at that point where your circumstances are contradicting God’s word concerning you, but that is not where the story ends; you may not have the finances you need, there may be difficulties on your way, you may have been disappointed, disillusioned, rejected and abandoned, etc, but that is not where the story ends.

God is the script writer of your life; and no one can write the conclusion of your life story when God is at the introduction. God may allow some suspense in your story, but it won’t end in suspense, it will end in praise.

Prayer: Lord, resolve every contradiction in my life; my story will end in praise and not in pain, in Jesus’ name! Amen

IT'S A TRAINING

“...and as he went out of Jericho with his disciples and a great number of people, blind Bartimaeus, the son of Timaeus, sat by the highway side begging.”
(Mark 10: 46)

That is the Focal Scripture of Streams of Joy Devotional today.

In our Focal Scripture, blind Bartimaeus sat by the wayside begging. Because of his blindness, he spent his days begging. If one hundred people walked past him, he probably had to beg them all. He probably learnt how to scream loud enough while begging.

When Jesus was passing by, Bartimaeus screamed at the top of his voice and asked for mercy. He learnt to beg men for money, and he was able to beg Jesus for mercy. His beggarly experience positioned him for a divine repositioning. The downside of his life became the platform for his next level. Begging was his training for his next level.

Friend, like blind Bartimaeus, you may be at that level where you are ‘begging’, but God says, it is a training for your next level. You may be working under someone who stresses you out and makes you go the extra mile to do your work; God says, it’s not a punishment- it’s a training for the big stage. You may have been in difficult circumstances, and God says, what you learnt therein will help you to rise to the next level.

Your setbacks, disappointments, difficult moments, pains, tough times, etc are preparations for your next level. When men think they are short-changing you, they have no idea that they are making you wiser. When men think they have caused you losses, they have no idea that they just might have fired you up for prayers and prophetic confessions.

God can cause beauty to arise out of the ashes of your life; your negative experiences are not a waste of time if you take positivity out of them. Ask God to show you the training in your tough times; it may be tough, but it’s a training.

Prayer: Lord, may every tough moment of my life prepare me for my next level, in Jesus’ name! Amen

DON'T STOP

“...blind Bartimaeus, the son of Timaeus, sat by the highway side begging.”
(Mark 10: 46)

That is the Focal Scripture of Streams of Joy Devotional today.

Bartimaeus was disadvantaged as a result of blindness, others could see but he couldn’t see, others could lead themselves about but he needed someone else to lead him around, his life was a tale of a huge disadvantage that could cripple anyone’s wishes and ambitions.

Despite the fact that he was blind, Bartimaeus came to the wayside to beg. He took his destiny in his own hands and made efforts to survive. He couldn’t see, but he could speak and he used his voice to beg men for alms. Despite his disadvantage, he pushed and pressed on; his disadvantage didn't stop him.

Friend, God says, don’t allow your disadvantages to stop you. Don’t allow what is missing in your life to cause you to accept the status quo. Don’t allow your misfortunes to become a reason why you will not make any progress; don’t allow the disappointment of men to become the highway to your irrelevance.
Don’t allow what is not working in your favour at the moment to become the reason why you will fold your arms and do nothing. Don’t let your disadvantage push you into hiding.

Bartimaeus didn’t get healed while hiding at home; he was healed as he sat by the wayside; he made progress when he stepped out despite his disadvantage. God says, as you step out despite your disadvantages, you will meet unexpected favours, you shall rise to the next level, you shall step into mega success, and you will find unexpected opportunities that will distinguish you.

Dare to step out despite your disadvantage, and God will turn it around for your good.

Prayer: Lord, I choose to step out; my disadvantages will not stop me, in Jesus’ name! Amen

How Can We Give Thanks in All Circumstances?

THANKS IN THE FACE OF HORROR.

Jesus’s thanks was not based on his
present circumstances. He was about
to endure the worst possible horror.
He felt thankful to the Father for the
grace and glory that was coming
because of the cross and this gave him
joy.

Jesus, the founder and perfecter of our
faith…for the joy that was set before
him endured the cross, despising the
shame, and is seated at the right hand
of the throne of God. ( Hebrews 12:2 )

Jesus’s eyes were on his future joy. He
got through the cross by not focusing
on the cross but on the promised joy
that would result from it.
That’s where God wants your eyes:
On the future joy he has promised
you.

LOOK TO THE JOY SET BEFORE YOU
So right now you have trouble. That’s
okay.

In fact, the trouble that you endure
has a purpose: in it you are
displaying the reality of Jesus to the
world in a unique way.
The kingdom of God is most clearly shown on earth
when Christians gratefully suffer
present trouble because they see a
future weight of glory coming that
makes everything this world throws
at them as “light and momentary
afflictions”.

So how can you give thanks in all
circumstances?

There’s only one way:
Jesus’s way. Look to the joy set before
you.
Look to the joy! If the future joy
Jesus promises is real and you believe
him, there is no circumstance that can
steal your thanksgiving.
May all your Thanksgiving even the ones you gave in the presence of a strong storm in your life yield a great joy into your life in Jesus name.

Below are some of the very best possible future you could ever imagine — if you will believe it.

You will have all your real needs
provided while on earth
( Philippians 4:19 ).

You will receive all the grace you
need at all times so that you will
abound in every good work God
has for you ( 2 Corinthians 9:8 ).

God will complete the good work
he began in you ( Philippians 1:6 ) etc.

may God be with us all and give us the eyes to see the victory and great joy that we shall emerge with after the suffering in Jesus name.
Heaven is my target.
What is your own target brothers and sisters?

Where can we find peace in time of trouble?
Isaiah 26:3 tells us that God will keep us in “perfect peace” if our minds are “stayed” on Him, meaning our minds lean on Him, center on Him, and trust in Him.
Our tranquility of mind is “perfect” or imperfect to the degree that the “mind is stayed on” God rather than ourselves or on our problems. Peace is experienced as we believe what the Bible says about God’s nearness as in Psalm 139:1-12 , and about His goodness and power, His mercy and love for His children, and His complete sovereignty over all of life’s circumstances.
Peace is experienced as a result of prayer. “Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God; and the peace of God which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus” (Philippians 4:6-7 ). A peaceful mind and heart are experienced as a result of recognizing that an all-wise and loving Father has a purpose in our trials. God is not wicked.

How Can We Give Thanks in All Circumstances?

THANKS IN THE FACE OF HORROR.

Jesus’s thanks was not based on his
present circumstances. He was about
to endure the worst possible horror.
He felt thankful to the Father for the
grace and glory that was coming
because of the cross and this gave him
joy.

Jesus, the founder and perfecter of our
faith…for the joy that was set before
him endured the cross, despising the
shame, and is seated at the right hand
of the throne of God. ( Hebrews 12:2 )

Jesus’s eyes were on his future joy. He
got through the cross by not focusing
on the cross but on the promised joy
that would result from it.
That’s where God wants your eyes:
On the future joy he has promised
you.

LOOK TO THE JOY SET BEFORE YOU
So right now you have trouble. That’s
okay.

In fact, the trouble that you endure
has a purpose: in it you are
displaying the reality of Jesus to the
world in a unique way.
The kingdom of God is most clearly shown on earth
when Christians gratefully suffer
present trouble because they see a
future weight of glory coming that
makes everything this world throws
at them as “light and momentary
afflictions”.

So how can you give thanks in all
circumstances?

There’s only one way:
Jesus’s way. Look to the joy set before
you.
Look to the joy! If the future joy
Jesus promises is real and you believe
him, there is no circumstance that can
steal your thanksgiving.
May all your Thanksgiving even the ones you gave in the presence of a strong storm in your life yield a great joy into your life in Jesus name.

Below are some of the very best possible future you could ever imagine — if you will believe it.

You will have all your real needs
provided while on earth
( Philippians 4:19 ).

You will receive all the grace you
need at all times so that you will
abound in every good work God
has for you ( 2 Corinthians 9:8 ).

God will complete the good work
he began in you ( Philippians 1:6 ) etc.

may God be with us all and give us the eyes to see the victory and great joy that we shall emerge with after the suffering in Jesus name.
Heaven is my target.
What is your own target brothers and sisters?
Amen Amen

GRACE WILL SPEAK

“And he had two wives; the name of the one was Hannah, and the name of the other Peninnah: and Peninnah had children, but Hannah had no children.”
(1 Samuel 1: 2)

That is the Focal Scripture of Streams of Joy Devotional today.

Our Focal Scripture makes mention of Hannah, Elkanah’s barren wife. The name Hannah means ‘Grace’. So ‘Grace’ was the one who had no children. Hannah’s situation mocked the essence of grace. She was empty handed despite the grace on her life; it seemed that grace watched misfortunes come on her.

In a matter of time, the same ‘Grace’ that was barren had a child who became Israel’s next prophet. She was initially delayed, but when grace came through for her, she received a child that was a compensation for her barrenness. Grace later changed her story from barrenness to fruitfulness; grace turned her life around and pushed her to the next level.

Friend, for everything that looks like a misfortune, grace will answer. For every setback, disappointment, delay, rejection, embarrassment, etc, grace will speak on your behalf. For those miracles that are yet to happen, grace will make it happen in a matter of time. For the expectations that are yet to be met, grace will cause them to be met without further delay. Grace will download and deliver your portion to you.

When Hannah finally received a child through the grace of God, that child turned out better than the children of Peninnah. What ‘Grace’ gave her was better than what her adversary had. God says, because of grace, you shall have a better result than your adversaries; because of grace, even your haters will envy you for what God will give you.

God is not unmindful of the things around you that mock His grace upon your life. Soon, everything that has mocked God’s grace upon your life will become a platform for divine visitation. Grace is coming with a greater package.

Prayer: Lord, let Your Grace speak for me, in Jesus’ name! Amen
