If you truly want to study abroad as a serious student. NIIT has affiliate universities around the world where you can go for top up and will be issued a Bsc Certificate. Try and talk to your center director to link you up with those schools as that will make your application easier. All abroad study is expensive anyway except you can get a scholarship.

thanks for your response bro, really appreciate.
you are right the top up. but I have my personal reasons why i never wished to go for my top up.
1. I've options like Middlesex uni Mauritius,UK, Malta and in the UAE. those aforementioned countries does not allow students to stay beyond there study periods which is far from what i needed because i would like to stay, hustle and plan about my future in an advanced countries like USA or Canada. "I'm sponsoring myself".

2. I'm not satisfied with the stand of the diploma I had at NIIT and if i go for a top up it would not in way be help to me academically and career wise .
3. would like to work and study so i could help my self financially in terms of accommodation and feeding.

please help me bro and all other kindhearted people here if I could do my top up in a country like US or Canada e.t.c .........please your advise everybody in the house oooooo... .God bless

That's Elizabeth. Highly expensive city. There is no amount you have that's enough as a student but before we continue, give details about the percentage covered by this 1/2 GA and is it likely that they increase the GA by next semester? Roughly estimate (by %) what you have on your own for the first few months of your staying?

Thanx bro. School fees is about 21000dolls, would need to pay half of that, it's just the living expenses am worried about. I don't hv up to a million naira in cash as @ now. I pray I get oncampus jobs to go with.

Good Afternoon Sir,

Hope this message finds you well. I see that you are sponsoring yourself, as such, I would assume that you would like to stay back after studies.

I am in Canada and my spouse is a student in the states. That been said, its safe to say that I have somewhat of a good knowledge of both countries. I am in no capacity to advise you on your life choices. However, if you were my brother I would advise that you go to Canada.

Route to Green card is easier in Canada.
After a 2 yrs. program you will be given a 3yrs work visa to work in any field.
No program discrimination like Yankee that focuses only on STEM grads
There is a bill in senate called C-6, this bill tends to convert PR's to citizens faster.
Canadians slow like Nigerians
Canada is safer than USA, better country to raise your kids (e no concern you if you no get pickin)
NO funding in Canada
Racism is less in Canada

However, there are more jobs in USA
More Nigerians in USA
USD is much higher than CAD (US$100 = C$133)
Good & Services are cheaper in USA
USA Green card holders do not need visa to enter Canada.
Tuition is cheaper in Yankee with a lot of Funding opportunities
Yankee schools are well recognized worldwide

At this point, the choice is yours my brother. It depends on what you are looking for in life. Discuss this with your significant other or parents. Thank you Sir and have a wonderful day.

Why didnt you check the deadline date before making an application. It would have enabled you know the session was closed before spending time on it

Secondly spring is January session so highly unlikely that admission decision will be out and you then go through Visa process to travel by Sept . ... Also there is a 30day rule that u cant enter more than 30 days before i20 start date.

Sept to Jan how many days be that ??

To the best of my knowledge, Mr daoud is yet to convince anyone here that he has done any research on his own. If only he have read a whole part on this thread, all his berating questions have been treated previously. It is clear he is just looking for a fast way to get denied.

Cool down Mr and read part 7 and 8. Am sure you will get answers to all your questions.

No it wasn't. Meat is generally not allowed irrespective of the POE.

To those coming to the US soon:

If you would have enough space in your luggage (be mindful of the weight. Every airline has specific maximum) , pending the time you would have to visit any African store here, you could arrange for some food stuff like garri, egusi, ogbonno, dry fish, dry vegetables. Get them in ziplocks or plastic bags, clearly labelled. That would last you for a considerable period before eating burger grin

P.S. Palm Oil (Epo pupa) is not allowed. It won't even pass MMIA.

I brought Palm Oil when i arrived here...but I hid it inside my garri and it became so thick..was unnoticeable by their scanning machines

Hello great people in the house.

I appreciate everyone in the house for the great support. My appreciation to God Almighty for His grace, mercy and love.

Also appreciate Bigfrancis for his help in paying my SEVIS fees. Bro, you remain the best. Thank you so much................ @Ratchy and Oloyeadeniyi you are appreciated as well.

My VISA was approved today.......6.30am appointment.

See below the details:

Conversation between VO and I.
VO: Good morning
Me: Good morning sir
VO: Please pass me your passport?
Me: I did same.......
VO: Also your I20 please
Me: did same
VO: I can see you going to Troy University?
Me: Sure
VO: How did you hear about Troy University
Me: After I made up my mind to study in the US. I used Google for my search which in turn introduce me to usnews.com, I used this for all the schools I applied to
VO: How many schools did you apply to?
Me: I applied to 4 and named them....Troy University, Middlebury Institute of International Studies at Monterey, Texas A&M at Kingsville and Western Illinois University.

My people, to my dismay the next question is..................

VO: Why did you apply to Texas A&M in the first place
Me: I applied because I found a Research interest inline with what I wanted but unfortunately I was not admitted.
VO: Why were you not admitted?
Me: Perhaps because the course is in engineering and my first degree was in Zoology.
VO: Passed me my I20, you will need it at the point of entry. He dint say anything like I will be approving your VISA. Then he picked the white paper and circled the Collection centre......... Pick up your passport on Thursday.

I was favoured............

Thanks to God
