There is nothing wrong in criticizing a religion. Everything is wrong in creating a system by which one religion has special privileges.

Even wonder, why is it so hard then for Seun to create that Christian forum? What would it negatively change to nairaland?

As for me, any progressive mind would stand against this special treatment and favors given to Muslims. Islam as it stands now is by far more archaic and intolerant than most religions. Christianity used to be so, until free thinkers criticized in western nations the special treatment Christianity got.

It is such simple things that make the world go forward.
He said his wish is for more interaction between the faiths. You are advocating further sequestration. Whatever happens though, I don't really care.

I do not advocate for more isolation. I have repeatedly said that I think the best option is to break this "superadmin" power Islam has got in this forum.

Best solution is to stop all that non sense and allow every religious thought to be criticized ,analysed objectively and allow scrutiny.

You on the other hand seems to prefer to ignore the problem as long as there is still room to crack Christianity down.

I actually do not care at all. It's not my problem.

I am a Christian, I cannot be in a forum where my God is being ridiculed by some persons including the founder of the forum. My Bible teaches me that, blessed is he who is not found in the company of the ungodly. I registered in nairaland last year after many years of visiting because I thought it was a forum to meet and interact with fellow Nigerians. I have suddenly come to realize that there is a conspiracy to ridicule the Christian faith and turn young Christians into atheists. I am a solid Christian and nothing can derail me from my faith, but I can't stand the number of baby Christians who get confused and carried away with all this Atheist and anti-christain posts I find on front page.

I came to this conclusion after reading some of seun osewa's posts on Christianity.
With this I say farewell to all nairalanders.
You must be a baby Christian for considering deactivating your account just because of mere comments from Atheists. You are not serious. Just like one of the guys here said what if you go out for real evangelism/soul winning and you encounter an Atheist will you run away?

Won't you try to prove some points to him/her? In what way have you done that on this forum? Pls don't be a coward be brave and courageous like Paul and our mentor Jesus

Anytime Christians demand for fair treatment and their own exclusive section Seun would come out in his full regalia to resist it. HE HAS EVEN TAKEN DOWN MY THREAD!

There is something Seun is unwilling to tell us as the real reason for his actions. Its as if he is afraid of selling himself out by doing so.

I am tempted to say his actions are typical of someone with skeletons in his cupboard.

I do care. What is applied today on this topic, may be applied or is already applied on some other domain. Indifference when I see something unfair and evil, is a luxury I refuse to indulge.

I personally believe the world would be better off without religions. But justice wants that everyone be treated fairly.

In case you didn't notice, the thread in question has been taken down. That's is also the case of numerous other similar threads.

You see thats point I've always tried to make.... Seun isn't preaching against the existence of God rather he is fighting God . This is very evident in his posts.

Secondly what u fail to understand oo owner of nairaland is the power of the media and what u weild being the owner take it or leave it many people will hold on to every word you say seeing that u have archived something worthwhile (nairaland) my grouse here is God knows the potential souls that should have been saved but opted to have a rethink based on what u seun belief....with such strong and opposing belief one will think ud keep them to ur self or manage the way u show ur disdain for God.

If U wish to know the reason for the success of nairaland go to this site www.thesecret.tv it's not a Christian site but teaches tenets on success but the secrets are borrowed concepts from the bible ....and talking successful people whom aren't Christians , my point is there's a God and he rules whether u choose to accept it or not...take a look around u ur laptop, table, cup , clothe etc all these were gotten from the soil or nature and these are all carefully provided for by a knowing and seeing God.thera nothing like the Big Bang theory .

God loves u whether u accept it or not, because most of what u write about ur ignorant of such things....unfortunately for u God will only reveal himself to some one who has a true willing heart to search for him.

Some of us Christians are in some ways angry too concerning certain things but ...on this plane not every thing can be comprehended.

God forbid seun but take a few mins to reason this assuming u passed on and found out Jesus was real?.....(I said God forbid o) just reason that for a min.

The sun rises ,tress grow , night follows day etc all in a perfect order and wish to tell me an unseen force Insnt in charge?

King David said only a fool believes there's no God
The hypocrisy on display here escapes you.

We have dozens of televangelists streaming and pumping religious propaganda 24/7 on radio, TV, billboards, buses, streets, in our universities, in every nook and corner in Nigeria.
But here, an innocuous opinion on the religion section of Nairaland threatens you and the entire edifice of Christianity.

Pls check you religion very well sir.
Perhaps it is not founded on firm footings.

lmao! grin grin

I find this hilarious!! Please you are free, as you leave make sure you deactivate your Facebook account, stop using the internet and go live inside a cave.

It's shows you ain't strong enough, those who want to be swayed will be swayed. If someone posts something about your religion which you don't like, then try to refute it and if it's getting too much you leave the person to their fate than taking it personal and claiming to leave. undecided

I see more religious topics than atheist topics on front page so what is your point?

Bye bye sha, awaiting your new monicker grin

Its his wish but not his reality! We need for it to move from being just a wish to becoming a reality!

It isn't my fault. I must obey my god rather than men. When Paul and his counterparts were doing this kind of thing 2000 years back to popularise jesus their god, things like this happened. People were sad that something new was coming. Same thing here...people of this generation must be sad, but they shouldn't bother. The doctrine is for the people to exist in 2625BC to save them from unnecessary fear and trembling.

Reverad is God.
I know it's your gods overwhelming your spirit with all those insults. They are very hateful.

Sometimes, it really good to prove your belief with evidence. Faith is good, but advancements with respect to time has given PROOF an edge.

Funny enough, this very proof which seems to be the edge that most atheists claims to discredit Christianity, is the same proof method used to strengthen It. Ironic?

It is never good that as a Christian, you aren't ready to defend you faith when technical questions are thrown your way. We are in the Thomas Age and that itself is permissible.

This is where I bring in Josh McDowell, famous for The Islamic debate with Ahmed Deedat.

EVIDENCE THAT DEMANDS A VERDICT

An Atheist in an angry mode to discredit Christianity, found evidences that proves it all. Knowing how infallible it is, he was converted. I hope that will be The case with Seun soon.

To Christians alike, go and get ready, the world is having questions for us, and we must answer, not cos it's a must, but cos we have the answers with us, but haven't bothered to dig deeper....

In a manner of speaking, Seun is a small boy..

There's no atheist that can subdue my faith.

I've had debates a lot of times.
It's only that I don't do it much on Nairaland because their doubts are too shallow sometimes.

So I ignore them.

If there are any foes I'm wary of, it's not atheists but Islamic scholars.

But God has always given me a good back-up.

We're commanded to EARNESTLY CONTEND FOR THE FAITH ONCE DELIVERED UNTO THE SAINTS.

My advice is, if anyone can't ignore them, he had better quit here.

But I don't see anything enviable in atheists: I don't smoke, take alcohol, masturbate, steal, lie, watch porn, curse or do to any man any evil: So, why shouldn't I be proud of the evidential power of Christ in me?

I've felt God's presence not once or twice or thrice plus his peace that exceeds human evaluation.

Leave those that fall for their unfounded logics; of whom I can boldly say THAT THEY NEVER REALLY HAD AN ENCOUNTER WITH THE CHRIST THAT REDEEMED ME.

Sorry to say:

The devil has nothing to lose.

Islam has nothing to offer.

It's as firmly as it denies the death on the cross -

The supreme sacrifice that tore/tears Satan's might to irrevocable shreds
