My two parrots ; tarzan & jane just died within 3 days interval. They were running stool, bought them when they were babies (5months old b4 they died). Check their feather and found lots of fleas. Could thqt have caused their death? Still can't fathom d cause. Pls help!!!

Birds temperature i heard are too hot to host fleas, it could have been mites infestation that killed your birds..

Thanks. She's back in her cage now. Went in on her own this morning.

Bring her out of d cage daily nd b rest assured she'll get in wen she's hungry or thirsty by doing so,she'd realize d cage is her home.

hmmm....she didn't eat for 2 days because she was scared to fly down. i dont think i want to bring her out again for now

I'm telling you the truth o. I also though the parrot cannot do without food cos she's always eating....even at night. But she shocked everyone dat period. That's why we all decided to leave her in her cage. Now we're working towards getting her a bigger cage.

Joined ur ranks recently with 2 ?Senegalese parrots. I feed them corn and can't imagine how to cope when corn is off season.
Pls any suggestions, are there any bird food/pellets out there? How do u guys cope off corn season.

millet too is very good both the red one(oka baba in Yoruba lang) and the white one (jero)

There are lots of things to feed ur parrot with. Don't limit it to just corn. They love groundnut too (raw) and palm kernel. Infact mine eats cooked food sometimes. Just small o. Biscuits too and fruits.

My parrot doesn't eat corn or millet or palm kernel. Eats only apples,cucumber,carrots,white rice,garden egg,bread and groundnuts.

Just found a pet shop that sells pellets for parrots. Will give it a try.

Sorry guys! Wrongily informed it was pellets. Got it and it's just a mixture of seeds and nuts ,said to be fortified with vitamins. Will post a picture soon. Nothing special about it jor.
