eddypaki: Don't know much about fees for assessing authorities. I think the fees lie within a range of $500-$1000AUD. IELTS in Nigeria should be about 45-50k. Am not too sure anymore cos I sat for mine in 2014. I studied online by subscribing to ROADTOIELTS. Some other people buy study materials from British Council. There are so many online resources. |

Hi All. I got an invite on 6th July, 2016 for skilled Independent 189. I'm now preparing documents for lodging my application and I need some clarifications. 1) Do I need to certify/notarise the documents before upload? 2) Are there specific lawyers appointed by Australian Immigration for notarising documents in Nigeria or any notary public can do? Thanks. 1 Like |

Congrats to all new permanent residents! Welcome. Just a piece of advice. Don't limit yourself to what people around you are saying. Apply for those jobs that seem hard to get or classified as 'not for black migrants'. You might never know. You can switch careers even. The Police constantly recruit. Policing here is safer than most countries, majorly because of the strict gunlaws. Victoria has a Police Custody Officer position, and are recruiting HEAVILY at the moment. Same with other jurisdictions. There is Firefighting and Correctional Services. These are areas where your diversity will be a plus for you and work in your favour. And you all know there is nothing like govt job lol. Congrats once again. 14 Likes 1 Share |

humanshado: 1. If the original is coloured, you don't need to certify. You can upload original. That is what I did. But if the original is b&w, then you need to certify. 2. No specific lawyer. Just head to a court and ask for a notary body. There are guys that hang outside courts that do that as business. 2 Likes |

U need to find out the daily transaction limit for those banks u mentioned. Maybe the fees have exceeded it so it won't go. But GTB has a high daily transaction limit n thats what I used just has Humanshado has said. So either u try that one or confirm from ur bank. also ask whats the exchange rate cos maybe u calculated with a lower rate n put that amount in ur account and so it won't go cos of insufficient funds. Esty4eva: I didn't assess my wife's skill cos I wasn't claiming points from it. Besides she's a medical doctor yet to register with the Aussie medical board. For medical doctors, it seems like a long process. But you could have your spouse assess his/her skill with the appropriate authority. He/she will have to meet the English Lang. requirement of the authority also for you to be able to claim the 5points. |

I need somebody to share his/her experience with me. I'm trying to attach documents to my lodge application, is it really compulsory to certify the documents before attachment. I actually didn't do any such thing while attaching documents for skill assessment and it came out positive without issues. Please just share your experience if it worked for you |

Hello, I need a little clarification on 190 visa. I understand it is 55 points and applicant will be awarded 5 points, if sponsor by a state or territory. The question is if I have 50 points already and I now decided to go for 190 visa, am I qualify for the programme. please, kindly explain this thing. 33- 39 years = 25 ENGLISH LANG ABILITY = 0 (S-53,W-69,R-57 AND L-65) SKILLED EMPOLYMENT = 15 15 YEARS WORKING EXPERIENCE QUALIFICATION = 10 TOTAL =50 if I decided to go for 190 visa that require 55 points, and a state or region is ready to nominate me,am I going to add 5 points to it making 55 point? |

For EA applicants that have gotten results already, does anyone know if your class of graduation(grade) affects the assessment outcome? Say for someone with a third class in Engineering, is a +ve assessment insight at all? |
