I just applied for a B1/B2 visa but have the intention of giving birth there. my husband also applied together with me for his renewal and we choose to stay in new jersey. our interview is next month in Abuja and am yet to locate a hospital in new jersey that will be affordable and not on the high side.
i was also advised by a colleague to send an email to the embassy indicating my intention to give birth in the US since am already pregnant and did not apply for B1/medical. i am yet to find the email address to send the mail to.

Please can you advise and also be of help.

You can give birth in US with B1/B2 visa and you don't need to send an email to US before the interview, you have to indicate your intention to give birth in US during your interview even if you are not asked.

I got some before the new cbn policy. It was still at 274.2 and they were practically begging people to come collect. But I couldn't get for my DH cos his travel date was after mine and the new policy was in place.

Please take it easy with this your speculation oooo...It is worth raising eyebrow for especially when i know someone who contacted me from NL who just paid for enrolment fee 3days ago and is going in December...If they are overbooked,they will tell you but i doubt it.. In 2015 alone, they dealt with over 1000international patients (no kidding,they said so) and as i said before everything there is straight forward and that is why people do not even bother coming back here with any story or transcript after going there because the story will be the same with 95% of all the mums so please be sure of what you say next time so you don't mislead others

My hubby went for his visa at abuja and was asked for zero balance. He presented all and the Vo kept hammering that why did we get so much discount from oakbend, dat we used government funds. She took my visa page, checked and said she can see we are not owing but she's not convinced about the discount from oakbend, so she denied him the visa.

Please how does one explain dis?

It's one of all those overzealous VO, you know as their head they take touch. So Oakbenders price is also cheap in their eyes I hope he was able to explain why he got the discount?
Let him reapply and another VO will revisit his case. All the best.
