Did I say Delta North as in all? Since when did ika and ukwani having identity crisis within their communities now the voice of all delta north? Oh in your head, Asaba, ogwashi-uku, etc have identity problem? Within your community, don't you SE have dilemma as well? Didn't aguleri and umuleri fight amongst themselves. Aren't they still fighting? Aren't few set of onitsha people claiming non igbo but you ignore those few because most onitsha claim igbo but don't do the courtesy for us. Hell i didn't see you excluding the idoma amd igala communities found in Enugu and Anambra state...last I checked, they aren't claiming igbo. But for us, "you have identity crisis" so inconsequential. Just look at you. Move!!!!!! SE supremacist. Na only you be the igbo community. Onye Ara.

Waka!!!!!!!!!!
it doesn't matter whether anyone claim Igbo or not but the problem is that you are in a state where the govt will not vote for such union. For now we should argue on already existing region which we have at hand in line with our interest in other regions which includes delta north. I also hope that one day events will shape us together legally.

akwa ibom economy will skyrocket if they complete their sea port, the FG knows this. Igbo business men will prefer importing through akwa ibom and thats a great IGR source.

Let's be realistic here. What's up with all these Igbo talks and Akwa Ibom sea port? There are functional seaports in Warri and Port Harcourt (closer to Aba) but Igbo's wouldn't use them.

I remember GEJ saying then that after huge waivers have been offered to importers to use those ports but they prefer Lagos ports. Later you guys on Nairaland will say the Yorubas are manipulating everyone to use Lagos ports.

In summary, Igbos use Lagos ports because Lagos is a huge market. Importers need easy access to huge markets where they could sell off their goods instantly...something Lagos offers

When Nairaland had real Igbos devoid of Jonathan's paid agents and IPOB we engaged in fruitful discussions. People like Onlytruth, Asha80 not Chino's Asha90 clone and Ogbuefi alongside me were almost drawing out a good plan.

The most important thing is integrated fast rail system and optimal power generation for the entire zone. We have the money. If Igbos will ever agree I can personally donate 20million Naira as contribution for fast rail. I know others willing to drop 100 to 300 million here in Port Harcourt but the problem remains inability to agree on anything.
Hummm riding Okoroach 's jock strap is not meaningful conversation start telling your self the truth. Nna man you have nerve to talk about paid agents.

One Of My Deep passionate dreams is to see a well developed South East Geopolitical Zone.
South East comprise of 5 states, Abia, Enugu, Imo, Anambra, Ebonyi and for this states to be developed, they need to be centralized and united in planning.

Number 1
Setting Up A South East Developing Cooperation(SEDC) that will be sponsored by the 5 SE Governors and will have their branch offices in every states in the south east.

Number two
Opening Up A Joint saving Account Of The 5 SE States where
a) a deposit of atleast 200million per state governor will be made every month.
200million x 5 states=1 Billion per month
b)50million per month by the 15 senators in South East.
50million x 15= 750million per month
c) 10million per month by the 30
Federal house of reps from South East.
10millionx 30= 300million per month.
----
NOW ADD THEM UP TOGETHER= 1 Billion plus 750million plus 300million= 2 billion,50million naira.
----
Then if SEDC realise approximately 2 billion per month, multiply it by 12month= 24billion naira.
Multiply the yearly 24billion naira by 10years = 240Billion naira.
Thats means that 240billion naira will be in South East Development Cooperation(SEDC) account in just a span of 5years upon establishment.
---
- With 240billion invested in South East, will it not develop the Geopolitical zone the more, make it a hot investment zone and attract Igbo business men back.
For example,
- 1. If Akwa Ibom state completes its seaport, SEDC can build a Light Rail project from Aba to The seaport in Akwa Ibom, in order to boost up a close importation and revive south east economy.
---
- 2. SEDC can build a multipurpose industrial park in Nnewi, investors are on ground to key into the project.

----
- 3. SEDC can pull investors to invest in Enugu Coal inorder to Power up the South East. Enugu coal can serve the 5SE states in constant electricity for up to 100years.

----
- 4. SEDC can launch and build an Agro-industrial and processing zone in Ebonyi state inorder to tap into their Agricultural potential and create jobs.

----
- 5. SEDC can turn Owerri into an Educational and Tourism base in SE.
A University that will be international standard can be built in Imo and the tourism potential of the state harnessed like the oguta lake.
----
- 6. SEDC can fix SE federal roads by itself.

To set the record straight, there is no place tagged osu in Igboland. In my place it is refer to as "amusu" which means witch/wizard. In every culture in the world non accept witches or wizards. This is applicable to igboland. There is no group of people/clan tagged osu or what ever you refer it as. Most of this believes are erronous as science has come to show us that some of these claims are unfounded. Take for instance in the olden days if a woman were to give birth to children who often die at tender age, they are called amusu and banished from the land. But in recent times, science have made us to know that some blood genotype when they give birth is likely to have a sickle cell kid. And these kids are likely to die at infancy if no medical attention is given to them. So you see there is nothing like osu as you implied.

A good vision and a laudable initiatives. It's possible and it's impossible, it all depends on you how far u are willing to purse this nd see to it, it becomes a reality even though they are some flaws in ur assumption which u would find out nd correct on ur own if ur willing to start this journey of actualizing ur vision. Good.
However, I beg to correct a notion. The senators and members of house of Representatives, according to your idea, are to contribute money from their purse right? This is the impossible part.
says who
Do you think they would contribute a dime and allow a stranger to manage the bulk money? Mistrust and suspicion would destroy the commission even before it is commissioned.
yes
If the stranger had a solid reputation

Anyway, I like the idea a lot but where would the state government get money from since the remnant of the state funds embezzled or misappropriated wouldn't be enough to pay teachers let alone repair Port Harcourt road in Aba.
security votes
Loans
Bonds
Think outside the box man

Assuming the Southeast is able to partner with an investor to tap into the coal deposits in Enugu to generate electricity, the country Nigeria that I know would fantastically frustrate such partnership.
how
Lagos
Ogun
Abia
Bayelsa all have some off grid power station running
The only one who can frustrate you is you as you're already doing

I don't even want to talk about what the "owners" of the coal would demand and hence a new form of militancy would be given birth to.
what they go'n do
Blow up the cock ''pipeline ''?

Though your forecast isn't entirely impossible, but considering the politics of the day, I daresay that it is impossible.
so basically you've given up without trying
I pity the east if ppl like you represent her
I hope go getters like ADaure4ever
Run for office or are appointed cos if you reash dia, they're finished

Adaure, you got it right.
The challenge is that no eastern elected entity is thinking this way.
The republican nature has nothing to do with real development as you suggested.

Chukwuma Soludo's manifesto during the last gubernatorial election he vied for brought a similar idea for the development of Anambra, sadly enough he lost. Dissecting his plans, you will see that what you just said is achievable only if someone in the elected position calls it a duty.

the fact that you have the audacity to include Oron and akwa cross in your biafra map is an insult. That shows that igbo people have no regard for akwa ibom people ,they view akwa cross people as docile slaves who can be easily controlled .Just because ibibio has the largest population and is the face of the akwa cross. Oron people are not as docile or friendly as ibibio people . if given the power ,all igbos would be deported .Oron is not as accommodating as ibibio people . Oron is a no nonsense man. Oron people are more industrious than igbo. Oron land is richer than igbo land .

below is the plan for the akwa cross also known as Atlantic city.

Oron ( downtown commercial district)
Calabar (suburb)
Uyo ( Administrative district)

Good idea, but will corruption allow this idea to become a reality?
If our leaders understands that National or Regional Development requires a collective sense of responsibilities, which means all hands must be on deck to stir it to the promise Land.
Sometimes i wonder why a country as big as Nigeria will rely heavily on Lagos ports alone for its importation &exportation functions causing congestions, gridlock of traffic, pressure on roads for goods to get the hinterlands.
Pasts &present presidents takes frequent trip to China, but can't just take a bold step to setup or revive an existing seaports to complement or take the presure off Lagos, just like what is obtainable in China whose seaports are so numerous to mention.

2ndly, i think the Calabar- Lagos railway project, which i'm made to understand will cut across SS,SE,SW states & will complement the propose Deep Seaport at Ibaka,AKS. If these 2 signature projects will come to fruition. We are watching.

OP, Nice write-up, ideas though, very unusual of a nowadays young lady to come up with an article such as this.
