How much barrel of oil have we sold in a day? You don't know, you are making assumptions.
The budget is based on $38 dollars per barrel on 2.2million Barrel a day, the activities of the avengers has so far reduced it to just 700k.

The president excuse is very valid, ExxonMobil, shell, chevron are not exporting which means no oil revenue, we are depending on inland revenue tax and custom duties.

Even if oil revenue goes up, if we don't export, no money, the economy is bad, activities of the avengers is making it worse.

What do we export apart from oil? Nothing we import everything.

It's still a very cheap excuse.

Very cheap considering that within this time, the President himself has reported that there has been Trillions of Naira saved/ earned from implementing the past administration's TSA. The President/ EFCC has reported millions of dollars earned from his fight against corruption. The Swiss Government has sent in close to $500m of Abacha's stolen funds. Taxes has increased monumentally, fuel, kerosene cost too and the government is no more paying subsidies on oil.

This is asides the other income earned from other sources of revenue.

If there is NO money, where did he find the couple of hundreds of millions of dollars budgeted for the exploration of oil in the North East- which is currently on-going? From the air?

He has NO excuse, to be honest. None. Stop making what is non-existent for him.

To explain further lets examine the prediction that warned us about dollar hitting N260/$ by May 2015. We all witnessed how that was postponed to ending of 2015. Had Gej been in charge beyond May 29 .15, he would continued to borrow more heavily as against Buhari's blockage of leakages.

All of you saying things would have been worse if jonathan was still in power,i dont quite agree and these are my reasons: we had a competent coordinating minister who already foretold things and many including governors would have had little options but to follow her prescriptions. Still on economy,we would have been forced to devalue earlier and the portfolio investors wouldnt have left or compounded the dollar scarcity and we wouldnt have been delisted by jp morgan and probably we would have gained from the brexit fallout with more investors coming in. The TSA would have been done gradually thereby reducing the shock the banking system witnessed leading to massive job losses,yes gej admin would have borrowed to pay salaries but there would be money in the system,the agric revolution would have continued as planned,fertilizers and other inputs made available preventing hunger,remember the boko was already being addressed towards the end of the previous admin. There wont have been outright ban on rice importation rather rice growers would have been given import licences to augument supply. There wouldnt have been bombings in niger delta cos gej would have quickly negotiated and benefitted from the slight increment in crude oil price. The job intervention schemes like you win wont have suffered a set back but would have been strenghtened instead of giving bail outs to wasteful governors. Contractors would have been paid from money that would have been borrowed from china or elsewhere ensuring liquidity in the system,list is endless!
