The guy who posted this (which is the first mention of religion in our exchange) is accusing me of making it about religion! He is accusing me of being dishonest!

shocked shocked

I have listed several arabs that have won gold medals at the olympics (Aouita, Boulmerka, El-Ghouredj, Morcelli, Sarah Ahmed, etc), yet he says that arabs are nowhere to be found at the olympics! shocked You must be joking!

I know that you are just trying to run away when you've been caught out with facts and trying desperately to have the last word. I don't consider you to be a serious debater because you haven't been able to disprove any of the facts that I've presented. You just keep throwing red herrings and trying to shift the goalpost (talking about africans, women and religion). I know that you desperately want to have the last word, so I'll leave you to it. Enjoy.
More dishonesty. I don't know how to extract previous posts so you can go back and extract Lovat's post which you quoted where he talked about Christian and Muslims Arabs. That's when you began to mention names. Let's see who made it about Muslims and determine who the dishonest one is... and while you are it, do well to find the out total number of Gold medals Arabs have won at the Olympics. You are at liberty to include African and even Nigerian Arabs in your findings...Mr serious debater.

Not that it really matters to me, but if this could be accepted in the Olympics, I wonder the problem it is generating in Osun State schools.

should have paid more attention during your physics classes. By wearing that crap called hijab,it simply causes "Air friction" which induces retardation and resistance thereby causing a sharp decrease in the rate of acceleration, that's why a piece of nylon takes more time to land than a piece of stone - go back to your PN Okeke
If u learnt ur physics well, u would have known that air resistance is negligible in many cases. Drop two stones of the same density but extremely very different masses from the same height simultaneously. Certainly, the bigger stone experiences more air resistance but they will both land at the same time because air resistance is negligible here. And u talk of acceleration, forgetting that even if air is not negligible thereby impeding acceleration, it has the same effect on deceleration when the athletes are already weak. And besides, humans are not machines where u expect continous acceleration and as such, take-off (initial) velocity is what u should be saying here in which u are still wrong. I doubt if u took Physics classes.

American sprinters at the Games will have the option of wearing new uniforms from Nike that the sportswear company claims are the “swiftest track apparel to date … [and] also the most sustainable.” The tracksuits, which include material from 13 recycled water bottles apiece, incorporate patterned patches on the fastest-moving parts of the body (note the dots on Angelo Taylor above). They are also covered in golf-ball-like dimples “to help reduce the aerodynamic drag of the athlete.” Nike claims, with great precision, that the dimpled uniforms shave up to 0.023 seconds off a 100-meter sprint time as compared to the company’s previous gear.
Although not all runners will embrace this ultra-high-tech model, opting instead for other Nike uniform variations, everyone on the track is sure to wear something clingy and aerodynamic. Even just a couple decades ago that was not the case. A look back through the history of Olympic sprinter attire reveals radical changes.

PIC 2.
Athens 1896: Shorts were consistently long, while sleeve lengths varied among competitors in the 100-meter sprint.

PIC 3.
St. Louis 1904: There were few requirements regarding athletic uniforms in the 1904 Olympics. A Cuban postman named Felix Carvajal became a legend when he arrived to the marathon late in his regular clothes—long trousers, a heavy shirt with long sleeves, and bulky walking shoes. The officials elected to postpone the start of the race while another athlete helped him cut the sleeves off his shirt and the legs off his pants. He came in fourth.

PIC 4
Stockholm 1912: Eight years later, there was far more regularity to the sprinters’ attire, as you can see here. The official 1912 Olympic Report outlined that “each competitor shall wear a jersey with short sleeves and drawers to the knees, and shall also have on back and front during competition a distinctive number corresponding to the number in the programme assigned to him by ballot.”

PIC 5.
Tokyo 1964: Over the years, shoes got lighter and the clothing tighter. British sprinter Ann Packer, at left above, helped popularize Adidas’ novel ultra-light spikes. Made from kangaroo leather and weighing just 80 grams (about three ounces), the shoes launched her to silver in the women’s 400 meters. Inspired by her success, she made a last-minute decision to give the 800-meter event a chance. She broke the world record.

PIC 6.
Munich 1972: In the 1970s, synthetic materials began to make their way into running uniforms and the differences between attire for short- and long-distance runners began to grow. With an eye on aerodynamics, sprinters opted for closer-fitting speed suits while marathoners focused on light material that would not get weighed down by mile after mile of sweat.

PIC 7.
Sydney 2000: Teammates LaTasha Colander, Jearl Miles Clark, Marion Jones, and Monique Hennagan (left to right) celebrate winning the women's 4-by-400-meter relay in low-friction Lycra shorts and tops. They were also aided by ultra-lightweight Nike running spikes, molded around their feet, which could be worn only once.

PIC 8.
Beijing 2008: By the 2008 Olympics in Beijing, computer modeling had been widely incorporated into athletic uniform design, with aerodynamic tweaks aimed at reducing wind resistance. The idea that technology could—and should—shave time off sprinters’ races was becoming standardized.

In every country/race/nationality you get people who are good at sport/ bad at sport, pretty/ugly, intelligent/dumb, annoying/boring etc.

Generalising a huge populace isnt very fair..I am sure there are arabs who are good at sports.

Nota Bene==> I am a muslim, pls stop using derogatory words on muslims.. It's not cool..

Thanks man..

You easily pick offence whenever a subject related to Arab is discussed because you are afraid of receiving bashing from people due to your fanaticsm and extremism.

The Arab lady tried at seventh considering the heat the dark hijab will make her body absorb unlike the others who wear open clothes.... I would advise them Arab Olympians to consider giving their female athletes white or blue hijabs as that will help reduce the amount of heat their body would absorb unlike the colour black or red .... I'm sure the science students know what I mean....
The term 'black body', as used in thermoscience for heat absorbtion does not literally means the colour 'black'. Go and find out.

Hijab was never an Islamic dress code.
The hijab has been in existence before Islam.
Muslims misunderstand and misuse facts of history from Genesis to Revelation.[/size].
