Please be specific when you say religion . It is fallacious to generalize - overlooking other facts that refute the generalization because you want a particular type of conclusion to be made .

Christianity has no bad effects . Any ideology that Christian inherently deprecates is simply not of Christianity . The crusaders , KKK and all worth not will surely rot in Hell if they died as sinners because God does not approve of their despicable repugnant activities .

To prove if He exists, answer this questions as well versed you are in histories/occurrences and researches;

1. Do you know the Isrealites were once captives in the land of Egypt, and do you know how they were set free?

2. Do you know a man called Jesus Christ who was around more than 2000 years ago who died and resurrected the third day

If you don't know of those as history claims, but you know and read of some who didn't believe God exists, then I rest my case.

And if you know of those, but still believe they are all lies and religious propaganda, but you believe in those who said God exists not, then I still rest my case.

I did. But I want to try to avoid focusing on any particular religion.

I can promise that a lot of things in your life will get better when you abandon the incorrect religious beliefs that you're holding on to. As I said, many religious people are opposed to those precautionary measures because they think it will encourage sex, which they think is bad. Some of the biggest religious organizations are opposed to condoms and all contraceptives for this reason. What the Bleep is sexual accountability? Isn't God going to judge her in your imaginary afterlife? Why not leave the judgment to God? When you force a woman to have a baby she doesn't want, you're punishing the baby as well. That's despicable. A baby is not a punishment for being a slut i.e. a woman who like sex. A baby is a person who deserves to be desired and loved by the people who brought him/her into the world. If you must punish a woman for having sex, by all means feel free to spank her 12 times on the bum after the early stage abortion. The same unfortunate sexual accountability logic is what some religious people are using as the basis for their illogical opposition to contraceptives.

All these things are dramatically reduced by the consistent use of condoms and not having sex with careless people. Except sexual depravity. WTF is that? Abstinence doesn't work because of the "body no be wood" phenomenom. We're biologically programmed to crave sex. Those who rely on abstinence often end up having unsafe sex and suffering the consequences while those who practice safe sex have a good time.

They don't want their daughters to learn about sex and condoms because they think knowledge will encourage their daughters to have sex.

In which holy scriptures did you find Indira Gandhi, Marie Curie, Angela Merkel, Naija Babe, and Fatima al-Fihri? Their names are not listed in any holy scriptures I know.

I am a polytheist but I don't worship any god. I have freed myself from the scourge of religion. I live in core Northern part of Nigeria and I bet you, OP, you cannot stomach what you will see if you visit there. There, you will see, feel and appreciate the more, the magnitude of darkness that religion has placed man on. Religion of all kind is darkness but what I see here is a severe curse. Humanity is being deprived of its glory because of lies perpetuated in the name of gods. As far as religion live, humanity will not gain its rightful place. I'm even finding it difficult to make my sister who is more like my best friend see reasons with me.I can't even tell my mum cos she'll go 'ka-booom!!!' on hearing that I'm now an agnostic. Although I have succeeded in freeing one of my friends from the scourge of religion(a male of course,the females I've tried to convince see me as one crazy bitch),I still wonder how I'll free more people when the extent of their gullibility is unnerving.I won't even bring up the case of northern Nigeria cos that one is a no-go area.
Note:I come from a Christian family from the calmest place in South Eastern Nigeria but I'm sure they'll lose their cool once I start trying to relieve them of their indoctrination.
