Hello all, for someone on a scale of 3.8/4 after converting to US standard, is there any possibility of getting a schorlashi and any idea of low tuition school, am looking at masters in finance related course. Also, is toefl compulsory? What if I use ielts. Thank u

For sure you can get scholarship but you have work to do by searching for schools that will offer you the scholarship or funding.

Most school can swap ielts for Toefl and you will need to write GRE as well

Who will answer me
is this the most difficult question in this trend?
please i need someone to throw more light to these questions

ok ans the one you know, please help

his wife just got admissions with a university in the usa, he has already has a masters in unilag but the school advised her to go for another masters due to her low grade instead of phd she intended to do.
could this affect are chance?
my friend is currently not working while she works as a part time lecturer here in Ghana
could husband not working affect her chance?
they already have a baby boy less than one year old can she file for the whole family or she file alone?
the account she want to use domicile in Nigeria, bears her late farther name with about 40m which she and her mum is a signatory to the account the account belong to his late dad, they hardly send money or collect money from the account does money not flowing in the account affect her chance?
lastly since the letter and statement of account will be coming from Nigeria how would the usa immigration verify the document? she has a working permit here
thanks

I have told you Ghana process might be different from Nigeria so only a VO can really answer this but you dont believe me ......lol grin

Since you insist make we answer the one when we know .....Let me try

could this affect are chance?....... If she is bother then dont mention the previous masters, it what you put down that others know . ..I am not saying lie but dont mention. Also She needs to focus on relating the masters to her current suitation and the value the masters will bring to her ...so i dont see how the old master will cause problem . There is no law against having multiple master. She should find how to relate both masters if at all its becomes an issue. Some things are how u package and express it to sell

could husband not working affect her chance?...... They do ask sometimes what your spouse does but very rarely . The focus is more on who is your sponsor not the spouse and what does he do . But if the husband is working that would have helped for Home ties

they already have a baby boy less than one year old can she file for the whole family or she file alone?... Either would work , its best to go as a family (if d husband wants to be f2 visa) ,but then if her husband is going then he will be asked what is he doing and all . That he is not working cannot be a +ve if they ask that question and can work against them ...... However she and her child can go now and then when the husband is working or wants to take the risk that work question will not be asked then he can go later for his

account does money not flowing in the account affect her chance?...... In Nigeria they rarely ask to see Bank statement or any document . They leave it to the school to have verified before the i20 is issued . ....But i cannot stress the fact that they dont check each individual bank account in Nigeria doesnt mean that how they do it in Ghana ..

lastly since the letter and statement of account will be coming from Nigeria how would the usa immigration verify the document? she has a working permit here....... Again only someone in Ghana can verify what they do over there at the US embassy

PLS HELP A BROTHER

Sorry for this particular denial. You were just too honest and so, gave out a lot of information.

Another thing here is, you have to learn how to answer questions solidly. The VO asked who is your sponsor and what does he do for a living.

Your response should be, my uncle and he's a medical doctor. Then you keep quiet. Any other thing you say will make you sound desperate.

Being desperate is a huge turn off.

More so, you're currently not working. This is a problem with regard to home ties. However, if you've had previous work experience and state it very well, the CO can overlook it.

Also, using the word "market" made you sound "unprofessional" in your area of specialty.

You're a biomedical scientist, not other round way. So, speak more like a scientist.

Pardon me if I sounded a little bit harsh. It all boils down to getting it right.

Do you have any scholarship kind of? What's your total fees?

Bro, hope the materials are for the new SAT.
So they don't use old materials to practice.
And also they should use Khan Academy.
They've collaborated to with college board to offer test preparation.
I beseech your humble self to kindly forward the new SAT as well as TOEFL materials to me. @ jehofatobiloba@gmail.com. In earnest expectation!

As for the new SAT, I have the college board textbook which my little brother is using.
I don't know if soft copies will be available on torrent.
You could use khan academy to save money as the exact content on the website is the same in the textbook.
As for toefl, I used videos and softwares.
Basically, youtube sha.

Sorry guys my transcript is coming in late. truly truly in America 24hrs dont seem enough. First day of orientation and I have been busy and stressed! I'm actually not in my accomodation now but my Nigerian & african brothers here in school have been really supportive. I mean its great to see your fellow africans being very helpful and trying to help you get settled as quickly as possible. I dont have access to my laptop cuz my laptop charging is 3-mouthed instead of the US 2-mouthed, went to Walmart and they didnt have it. seems I gotta be borrowing till I finally get mine.
Its been an amazing but stresful 72hrs for me. I have been learning how to smile like every 5mins, trust me its needed so they wont see you as boring grin I'm not much of a good story writer but just know being an international student in the US, you are treated as exotic! Its left for you to utilize and enjoy the unlimited opportunities and experience thats available! wink

Try to get this @ any nearby store or Walmart, you don't need to buy a new laptop charger.

I think that there is 90% probability that you will be refused a visa for a second masters in the same subject.
To look genuine you must do a higher level qualification.

To do the same level looks a waste of money, so they suspect a fraud and refuse you.

i intended to do masters in mathematics because my main aim is to do my phd in mathematics but because of the grade not to sure any school can accept my score, that is why i concluded to do second masters and later go for phd.

This story very similar to your friend wife story

Also both gpa for 1st degree and masters is quite low so if you then dont to do GRE how can you prove to the school that you are a quality student in order to be given admission .....

if u are trying to gain admission with 2.48 out of 5 when it converted to 4.0 its lower than 2.48 so that already a challenge to easily see admission.... GRE is almost a certain to supplement your gpa

** two masters in the same mathematics. ..hummm that one i dont know ooo. Might be an issue

Only the school can answer what measures if any they have in place to confirm account and this measures or fraud check might differ from school to school ......
