That ugly duckling bit more than he could chew by writing 'Buhari' on his dog and then parading it among northerners to provoke them.

All these online lapdogs can wail from here to Tel Aviv, the fact is the idiot has learnt his lesson and is probably already composing his next love letter to PMB behind bars.

5% opinion is too predictable and irrelevant in this matter. Quote and be ignored.

thanks for posting this, someone was also talking of the term "likely to cause breach of peace", it's a well used term in law enforcement. Although I don't support the overzealous eye-service nature of the police on this case, I think this man needs to be made to know the enormity of what he has done and what it could have caused. I wasn't well furnished on the details of the case, but now that I know that he went to the level of writing the name on the Dog in a bid to cause trouble and instigate violence, I think he needs to be disturbed a bit. However I believe his actions should be investigated for what it could have caused and not the name Buhari.

"likely to commit breach of peace" ur support for fascist ideologies might make u more stupid. You would likely be kept in prison custody because u are likely to steal, without u stealing. If anyone cannot stand insult he should vacate the place immediately, we cannot say because some animals are violent we should give in to their demands.

Guys are getting it wrong here.. It's not about the name buhari.. It's about naming it alhaji buhari, writing it on d dog to purposely torment d hausas/Muslims.. These houses have killed hundreds of innocent lives on lesser issues..

Why risk ur life and the lives of other innocent ones knowing how volatile these people are with feelings/temperament. This guy is 110% guilty and should fa e d consequences alone...

I don't think you guys get it, he has caused breach of peace already even on the Internet, there's no more peace concerning this matter, everybody have been giving their opinions.
the response of the police promoted what ever is being witnessed concerning this issue. A matter that should have been settled easily. U cannot say we should give in to violent persons for peace to reign.

He didn't breach any peace bro, LIKELY TO CAUSE BREACH OF PEACE is what he is being accused of. Nigeria is indeed a necrotizing fasciitis- a flesh eating bacteria.

He is yet to commit the damn crime. Like accusing someone of " likely to rob or fight or " This is preposterous indeed.
what this means now is that I cannot do what I decide to do because some set of persons are violent.

It is the times we are in, NIgeria entered a period of tyranny the moment Buhari came to power. An Igbo man is sent to jail jail for writting Buhari on his Dog? Wonders shall never end! Clear case of nepotism
we are in trouble in this country, giving in to negative lifestyle of some particular people. Likely to cause breach of peace my foot.

This has nothing to do with violence and everything to do with irresponsible provocation.

Does it have to cost you an arm to be respectful to your neighbors?

Why are Africans like this? Gosh.

I knew buhari is bad news. But never knew it's this bad.

Nigerian police very active when it comes to petty things, i wonder where they were when some useless f0ols were busy defending their religion by killing 8 persons in zamfara today.

I guess arresting a man for calling is pet "Buhari" is more important than safe guarding the lives of innocent nigerians...

Good. Next time he should name his pet any of his leaders name and nobody will have any problem with him. Stupid fool. The money he would have used in chartering for his pregnant wife is now been use for 'irrelevant' case like this. You don't go about looking for trouble and expect the law to clap for you.

You are a massive to disgrace to common sense. .Don't be suprised when your rights will be infringed soon

This is wrong. I don't support the man's actions but still this is a democracy we should have freedom of speech, freedom to air out opinions.

Once you shut the masses up we might as well go back to the military era.
why don't you name your dog with your father name

Freedom of expression is freedom of expression, Nigeria belongs to all of us I.e freedom of movement. This is just tyranny, and it's even more disturbing that some people support this. The governments economic policies might be forcing us in the right direction but if it cones with tyranny, no thank you

Its funny how many people don't realize that there are certain actions one might take that can land them in jail..

I'm sure the Man knew no better.. He probably was clueless to the fact that inscribing the Presidents name on a Dog and walking it through a Northern dominated neighborhood to cause mischief and have a few laughs at the outrage he would cause could land him in jail.. grin grin

The Courts have decided.. He wouldnt get more than 3 - 6 Months or a fine or even both.. But this is a lesson to people..

Sai President Buhari..

God Bless Nigeria..

Shut up. There is a Yoruba woman that named a dog after his grand father.

EVen Isco of Real Madrid has a dog named after Messi because his family members like Messi.

Naming a dog is out of admiration. undecided
