Yes, let's be sensitive to blood thirsty folks.
Did the man beat anybody? No. did he kill anybody? No. Just because a particular set of people can't tolerate other people's opinions, we should be sensitive or they will kill us.

Yesterday, they killed many because their god was insulted. Don't annoy blood thirsty folks.

Listen.. We all have that one friend that is a little more sensitive to our jokes than the other. SO what we do is to manage that friend.

DON'T FHUCKING INSULT THEIR GOD WHEN YOU KNOW THEY HAVE A SHORT FUSE..

Call them savages, call them blood thirsty suckers, call them Vampires.... But please don't incite them to violence.

I don't support him writing the president's name on the body of the dog but...

If i'm correct, there was a certain George Orwell who 'constructively' criticized the Soviet and World super powers in his book 'Animal Farm' and portrayed them as animals including horses and pigs!

Sha, this man wasn't 'constructive' and based on how i'll argue for the name of democracy, he should be set free and told to 'sin' no more. Where would he get #50,000 to bail himself cos he named his dog Buhari because he thinks, the country's problem is Buhari?

Nigerians are stupid as can be. We are all here complaining about this tyrant that calls himself president . We cant w all take action by calling our dogs, horse cats rats buhari and pasting same on face book and let us see how many they will arrest. it was the common citizens of turkey that took to the street to stop last month's coup. we all hide behind our computers to be calling each other wailers, zoombies, afonja... we better come together to decide the kind of leader we want
You are the one that is stupid. Start by tagging your pig or dog with your fathers name and sharing it on social media. Hatred for others is evil you must learn to refrem

Good. Next time he should name his pet any of his leaders name and nobody will have any problem with him. Stupid fool. The money he would have used in chartering for his pregnant wife is now been use for 'irrelevant' case like this. You don't go about looking for trouble and expect the law to clap for you.
don't mind those fools here supporting the man. I expect a 40year old man to be intelligent and busy with his work to provide for his family but he went to buy dog, name it buhari and went ahead to write the NAME BUHARI ON THE DOG IN A HAUSA COMMUNITY and these people are saying the government is wrong in dealing with him? I pray the man is not released cos he is a fool at 40

This is wrong. I don't support the man's actions but still this is a democracy we should have freedom of speech, freedom to air out opinions.

Once you shut the masses up we might as well go back to the military era.

My brother, condemn the man action. You can criticise the president and call him any name directly or indirectly like we all are doing on social media every now and then. But the man's action and those of his cohorts now on the run is abnormal. It is capable of creating serious crisis in the state. Thank God the Housa man displayed unusual sense (not characteristics of of the northerners) to report the matter to the police ( very civilised)

Imagine an Housa man parading a monkey with the inscription of ojukwu at uperiwaka in Onicha during the burial week of Chief Ojukwu.

The man is very foolish. I sure trust you personally will not behave stupidly. Igbos re smart people now...what is really happening

Anyone who feels the guy has done nothing wrong should first go ahead to write his surname on the right side of his dog and his father's personal name on the left side and call the dog by those names. Then I will know they are really in support of what he has done.
How on earth could he be so insensitive to the emotions of the Hausas by parading such a dog in their midst. That's a stupid and gullible thing to do. He has to face d consequences of his action.

A RCCG pastor was killed in the north, we didn't receive pictures of the killers in prison. smiley

About 8 persons were killed for calling on a non existing personality as far as Nigeria is concerned, and no one has so far been arrested.

Patience Jonathan was named Shipopotamus by many including elites in the country, yet we didn't see the police in actions.

No sharia court in the north has so far rushed into actions to prosecute and look into the killings in the north, especially the death of the RCCG lady.

On a single report in Ogun state, a judge hurriedly rushed into action in few days to judge the matter because it involved a 'Buhari', the fulani patron.

I'm still watching in 3D sha.

Is the President the only person that bears Buhari in the world? Are you the only person that bears your christened name in the world?
The Hausa should have left him alone and continue with their activities

Is this not madness, what breach of peace, so Nigerians shouldn't do what the feel like doing even though not illegal, because it might offend some backward and irrational people, this is giving into violence for peace, what an irony. These people would surely pay for their crimes someday starting from their god buhari. angry

Igbos should be allowed to have their own country. They no longer can reason well.

I don't get why a lot of these guys quoting you are trying to make you see reason. NL and it's endless stream of attendant losers feeling like they are worth a nickel. I actually blame the Hausa guys for taking the matter to the police. They shoulda just mobbed the idiot as they'd have done in the past so people like you can come online wail properly.
His bail is a paltry 50,000 Naira go and pay (or form a group to pay for him). You'd wonder why civil society groups aren't championing his case as opposed to other percieved persecution cases but of course his name is Iroko so hitertho functional brains from a certain region will take a vacation.

The guys in Zamfara did it the old school way, y'all still complaining. What do you really want? To provoke people intentionally and not expect a response? Go and read the facts of the case again and see why the first person to quote you said your post made you look stupid. Have a nice day.

Please don't reply, I'm not a contestant in your nonsense Nairaland e-battles. *unfollows thread*

O you hypocrites and children of hate, anger and frustration, this man has bitten more than he can chew and he must already be regretting his action.

Democracy doesn't bestow the right to cause public disturbance on anyone. Yes he is free to name his dog or goat Buhari or whatever. It is plain stupid and idiotic to WRITE BUHARI ON HIS DOG AND PARADE SAME AMONG THE HAUSAS. It is very offensive and provocative. He is very lucky the Hausas there are more rational and more reasonable than the average almajiris. If not, we for don read about his demise.

Like Dilector Kanu like this idiot Joe.

Quote me and come up with common sense arguments. If not you will be ignored to the extent you'll doubt your existence.

Calling a dog buhari is not the issue here but writing the name buhari on the dog and parading it in a market dominated by northerners especially when his neighbor's surname is buhari too. That could trigger an ethnic crisis because if he was lynched by the Hausa's for that action, the Igbo's in the market would retaliate and we would have a full blown crisis between Hausas and igbos just because of his foolish action.

It's just like saying an hausa man goes to Onitsha market to parade a dog or monkey with the name Nnamdi kanu or Ojukwu boldly written on the animal. That action is inciteful cos the Igbo's cherish those personalities so much and won't take such lightly
