You are such a hypocrite. 7months without pay and you are showing your shallow mindset here.
I won't bother joining issues with you,if I understand correctly, all those who have not received salaries all have a common problem, which is the February non-payment issue which was due to late submission of BVN and other details(which isn't the government's fault). The entire process that led us to this point is as a result of the biometric team's inability to resolve the issue on time. When the issue was resolved weeks back, was the list not sent to the governor for approval? Will the governor go to the ICT department and do their job?You are to be likened unto a tortoise who has been in a pit toilet for years, only to complain of the stench on the day he was being rescued.Your money is here, and we all know it wont be paid this week but next week.Put ur mind on that and stop trying to insult someone who doesn't care about your cheap words.

Hey! Who gave you that wrong info? I was paid Feb and March, likewise my colleagues in the same school, did my biometrics on 7th July, but yet to get my salary. OPEN YOUR EYES pls and stop defending a governor who is wining, dining and feeding fat while you're here dying of hunger and patiently, or is it comfortably waiting to be paid your stipends.

my dear, every process has it's setbacks regrettably.I have been short paid before now and my arrears have also been skipped before now.My colleague was not paid at all sometime last year when others got their pay.Issues like this come up,bt d good thing is, the money has started flowing, meaning the intention to pay is there.Everyone is right to be angry with the delay, but the manner in which one portrays his/her anger matters a lot.Our colleagues got all their monies in a week, and so shall we.If the government was as bad as the later claimed,I do not think they would have paid all the months being owed almost at d same time.If you must criticize someone,do so with sone courtesy. Pls think in your anger.AND YES,I AM HUNGRY WHILE WIKE AND HIS CABINET MEMBERS ARE FEEDING FAT.POINT NOTED.

take my advice dear.. don't do this kind of propaganda work for the government especially if they didn't send you to... why?
head of service did his by saying that we ain't genuine workers since we don't have the new ID cards.. where is he now? SUSPENDED
Commissioner of finance did his by saying we were fraudulently employed only last week.. where is he now? SUSPENDED.

a word is enough for the wise.

God is fighting our battle.

I will advise you don't allow sentiment(Which is obvious you have strong sentiment for the governor) over rule your faculty. Simple logic tells me a government fails if workers were owed for 3/4 of a year. forget APC or PDP; let's call a spade "a spade". I want to tell you some persons have died as a result of this. Some lost admission...I'm a Post Graduate student but no money to push my thesis forward. Don't support evil. please!

It is irresponsible for Rivers state government to owe teachers their monthly entitlement. This wickedness by the government and silence of relevant stakeholders will no longer be watched.

Rivers state belongs to every Rivers person, it is our responsibility to kick against every form of executive rascality.

I'll be regular on this board to show solidarity to Rivers teachers.

Sir, did you post this? What is the concern of a teacher if the government can't properly organise themselves? This defence from you is highly irresponsible and a slap on the sensibilities of our noble teachers.

Please refrain from this before the God of Rivers state turn against you.

I don't know the God/god you are align with, but the one I'm aligned with expressly said "The Labourer is worthy of his wages".

Owing Teachers' salaries for months is irresponsible, wicked, ungodly, evil, and a fight against the sweat of people.

The Government has to pay and if it insist on this inglorious path, he shall meet with the collective resolve of Rivers people and God Almighty when the time comes.

Our Teachers' entitlements are their RIGHT and not privilege.

I advice you to tell him to act right.

This same wike went on radio to say that he has paid all civil servants in the month of june which was of course a terrible lie. I want to let you know that wike knows that civil servants has not been paid and he's doing this now because nature herself has caught up with him no where to turn again but to suspend commissioners and sack caretaker committees. Wike knows everything happening in the state .
Evil everywhere you go.

The Chairman PPSB was interviewed 7 minutes ago on Nigerian Info about complaints of some teacher concerning non payment of their salaries. D chairman said that it is true that some persons are yet to receive their salaries as a result of some paper work and errors which they working seriously to correct. That even d Govnor is on their neck on that. He added that most teachers hv gotten theirs. Hwever, he said on the side of d Govnr he has paid all because he has signed all necessary papers required of him for salaries to be paid. He also enjoin teachers to exercise little patience that there money would come dis wk or latest next wk. The above statement was according to PPSB chairman 2day on Nigerian info by 9:55 am.
OK oga briggs..this week has gone na..so that leaves us with your ''latest next week'' but that your talk about paper works delaying payment tire us sha..at this digitally computer age. we don't understand how stuffs like this will still be done manually on paper... may God see us thru.

from Nigerian tide newspaper online.

Indications have emerged as to why the Rivers State Governor, Chief Nyesom Wike suspended four commissioners, including his Special Adviser on Lands, Anugbum Onuoha, and Head of Service, Barrister Rufus Godwin, on Wednesday. The Commissioners suspended are those of Chieftaincy Affairs, JohnBazia; Culture and Tourism, Mrs Tonye Briggs-Oniyide; Finance, Dr Fred Kpakol and Sports, Boma Iyaye. However, this is the second time Commissioner for Finance, Dr Fred Kpakol,is being suspended.Insider source who spoke to The Tide correspondent but sought anonymity said the action may not be unconnected with Wednesday’s weekly Executive Council meeting which the officials attended late. The executive meeting was slated to begin at 6.am but it was learnt that the commissionerscame behind schedule when the governor was already seated. The Tide correspondentfurther gathered that what angered the governor more was thatdespite a notice of the meeting sent ahead, some of the commissioners still entered the Executive Chamber behind time.Even those who came early were caught off-guard, while chatting outside when the governor came in.

Are they CULT GROUP that have to fixed a meeting at that hour of the day, "6am"?
This may not be the very reason why they were suspended, there is something more to it which was not disclosed to the general public.
