I can't finalise/judge this administration till the end, but even Buhari only won because people were more concerned about voting out GEJ. I hope we won't make the same mistake in 2019.

The choice is always between the 2 most popular people. In the US today, the election is between Clinton (who many voters consider as untrustworthy) and Trump (who many voters believe lacks the right judgement to be president). So I think it's a global problem, but they still have to make a choice between the most popular candidates, else your vote is considered a waste if you sit on the fence and decide to go for an unpopular person
