Is plagiarism a grammatical error that proof reading will make u detect? Do u expect them to know all Obama's speeches offhand. The only person that could have known it was plagiarized is someone that knows abt that particular Obama's speech....

Ogbeni shut your trap there!!! Must you make up excuses for this administration's foolishness? Mere typing statements/sentences/paragraphs (or even copying and pasting such words) into Google will enable you know if it was stolen from someone or not.

Buhari supporters are even more dull than he is, little wonder they voted for the useless old dog..

Naija folks always confidently spreading ignorance and falsehood from their reservoir of stupidity.. The odds of GMB having an identical speech with Obama's speech are 1 in a billion. So his team scooped up the speech on Google.. Like my professor used to say- " if u can find it on the Internet, so can I" finally there is a software called turnitin used in finding plagiarism. GMB and his team could have this installed. Stop making excuses for incompetence cos it hasn't saved us in the last 60 years as nation

I don't see any reason to masturbate over this. The presidency admitted it already and is looking into it. My argument was that proof reading alone is not enough to detect plagiarism.... The president doesn't prepare speeches for himself. Some staffs could have ignorantly inserted it...

My brother I feel you. Maybe he would tend his resignation letter from the UN meeting, just the way he released his ministerial list from a similar meeting last year.

It reeks of crass ignorance to absolve the president of culpability and responsibility when in fact, if the speech had been originally his, he would get full credit for it as the author. Now that he's caught with plagiarism, you are blaming his speechwriters.
Folks like you expose your ignorance when you try to sound " knowledgeable" in a subject where you have no clue how it works. GMB can have "turnitin software" installed on his laptop to check for a case like this.
Stop masturbating on topics you're clueless about!

It's really embarrassing to know that my president can't even write his speech. He should go back to school and learn some of these things instead of embarrassing Nigerians like that.

And stop giving urself sleepless night over something u don't have any power to change. The fact that the presidency admitted it already put the matter to rest. Who else could be blamed if not the speechwriter. Is it me or u? U could put a call through to ur hero of democracy and ask him if that is how a president check out all speeches given to them on software because I'm sure u keep masturbating over this issue jst because u can't get over his loss during the last election... And Mr man stop quoting cos u will be ignored this time...

Another dimwitted zombie follower who doesn't know that plagiarism is theft of original idea/intellectual property...because you lack encephalo to understand what intellect means.
You are still immersed in hero-worshipping zombiestic movement, in which your zombie can never be wrong. It's always the fault of someone, but him. All good things he gets the credit, but all bad things, someone must be slaughtered at the alta of blame.
Our difference is quite clear; according to MLK, there is fierce urgency of now to fix the country, but folks like you believe that this a revenge mission to beat previous administration's worst record.

They are not punishing anybody, garba shehu and Femi wrote the article.
They just want to pass the buck and blame to a non-existent 'overzealous' staff. grin
