Hey house, got an information as regards the colossal refusal rates of Nigerian students TRVs from an Immigration lawyer in Canada that it is due to the fact that most Nigerian students who had their TRVs approved do not go for studies but rather opt for asylum and forfeit their huge tuition fee deposit and disappear. Calls for serious concern if its true though. May God help this country
In my opinion,I don't know if that is true but based on my own experience, all the naija students that I have met and known till date I don't know of 1 that abandoned school and applied for asylum. Not even one...and have been here for some number of years now. I will like to see the statistics this individual used to come up wt this conclusion.most finish school and move to provinces wt more jobs and opportunities and easier Route to permanent residence.

Am a geotechnician and also a project manager whr I work with 6yrs work experience. I got d project manager position 2yrs ago n I need a certificate in project management wch made me apply for project management (pgc). I wrote a detailed SOP as regards my pursuit for the program. No biggy anyways. We go refire noni.
based on your experience and skill level maybe u should research on express entry immigration into canada if u have not already. That might work for and save u this approval or rejection of visa.just a recommendation.

CIC make una clap for una selves oo as una don refuse us finish.
Anyways guys, If one successfully gets F1 visa to USA, can one apply for canada study permit before one finish his/her program? Or will one have to get a PR before one can apply?Beacuse honestly the sure/best way to enter Canada if from another country. God help us all.

don't think u have to finish school to apply but then most likely it will be visiting to CA u may qualify for...I don't see how d embassy will give u another study visa to CA when u submit ur F1 visa as your prove of legal status in usa esp if u not done schooling.most cases applying for Canada visa to usa or vice versa is more or less formality....i don't know how it is applying from usa to canada but applying to d us embassy from Canada most times it mere formality.invitation letter self is not needed most times...just av a usa address and a name of the person and ur relationship to him or her.documents self they rarely check..the refusal rate is very low.i know of a naija student in usa that visited i believe it will be similar process and requirements.

This might be true.it much tougher from naija I must admit.indians will tell u dey got there study visa in 7 days, these are d same pple in class wt person o...meanwhile,3 months person still dey hope and pray.
I once heard of an individual that did undergrad for 3-4 years as an international student..didn't bother to get the 3 years post grad work permit offered..cos they are boxed up in naija and saw no reason to stay put in Canada ..just left back for naija after school.few months back, this individual applied for visiting. ..na visa refusal dem give am o.
That goes to show u what it's like applying from naija . nevertheless, some pple will still get their own study visa na to pray to be one of them too o.

Hello friends,I'll advise that every intending applicant should make a very concrete research about the program he/she intends applying for. Don't just decided you want to bag a TRV and enter Canada. A friend of mine who applied same day with me at VFS is about to withdraw his program cos it's not meeting up to his expectations. Now he would loose some amount of money cos he didn't do his research work properly. Please try and find out the course module of the Program and also of it will land you a good paying job in Canadian Labour Market else, regrets and depression might become ones bedside partner. I wish everyone one good luck and God bless us all.

you are right, in fact, stating all certifications sef is a minus from my conclusion , if u have all ds cert, why do u need a year practical based course hence the refusal ..
Gymme:
Bro, with your years of work experience in that field, i think the VO was probably thinking how would one leave such a position/job for PGC.

Personally, Canada Express Entry would be a route for you with little or no stress.

if the sponsor's SOA is ok then there is no need to complicate issues with another SOA that could probably confuse the VO.

Any recent online applicants, how did you go about signing the app forms?
Re: Travelling To Canada Part 11 by KayPapi: 12:11pm On Sep 21, 2016
Jvesta:
for online route, you don't sign the forms separately. You only provide one signature covering the whole forms when you are ready to transmit (submit) th application to cic.

They are using #230 exchange rate. App fee is #34500' biometric is #19550 total #54050.however, additional charges apply if u require extra services like passport photos, photocopy et all.

How do you provide the one signature ? Print and sign it or how?

@CannyZionist and michV, I even more concerned on how to get my cash back. there are other countries where that cash will help me obtain a solid masters degree and possibly even cover part of my living expenses. All I know is that Canada is not heaven. in fact it got to a point that I wanted to personally withdraw my application cos I could hardly concentrate and this made me seek negative means of escapism to avoid depression. instead of making my little business runnings, I will just sit back and watch movies or listen to songs throughout the day. I thank God my mind is now focused to make critical thinking. Men.. Canada is beginning to close their doors on Africans. I'll advise any one on this thread to have an alternative plan.

Pls brother I need ur whatapp number, I want to follow you as u fight to get your money back. I will follow your step once I hear negative report from CIC. I can't wait like this again when the country is not heaven.
