FG Approves more external borrowings, says it will boost the dwindling economy and now wants to sell national assets to fund budget.

The question is why borrowing or selling our property when they claimed to have saved

Remember the 2016 budget is N6.4trn.

How come FG is still borrowing to Fund

Any Explanation please?

Or are they looting the loots?

You are not alone sir.. I regret voting them too. But we had no option then. I see no difference between them and PDP

you had other options, PDP and APC weren't the only party that had candidates contesting for President.
you all were bamboozled and fooled by the same people who you were trying to run away from. 2015 really exposed how foolish and ignorant the masses were. But do I blame you people when history has been removed from the school curriculum?

Obasanjo sold NITEL
GEJ sold NEPA
Buhari wants to sell NLNG

His successor will Sell Coal Corporation, Water Corporation, Railway Corporation and others till it will remain to sell Aso Rock especially as we have started hearing about its house rent and so, then they will sell Government Houses and eventually Local Government Secretariats. Who knows one day government workers will be placed in batches for auction and sales.
Very mysterious country.
Aso rock might have been sold by one of our corrupt ex-Presidents, you never know how what our corrupt leaders are capable of doing. Why else did they include paying rent for Aso Rock in the 2016 budget,I will not put anything past these politicians suffering from the Affluenza virus, that makes them want to acquire all the properties around them.

Some zombies still support them after seeing them for what they really are, scammers!I tried to have hope and believe the sincerity and anti-corruption campaign was being persued with vigour.
I eventually started to see the hypocrisy when Buhari did'nt probe Buratai and Dambazau despite being exposed for having properties in Dubai and USA respectively.
APC are wolves in sheep clothing,at least PDP made no pretence about their stance 'stealing is not corruption',but APC pretends to be saints and they are even bigger scammers than PDP.
Oga if u want continue wailing, APC will still win 2019.pls just help ur self now and look for a job and start doing because ur wailing will not stop buhari or APC. PDP can't be an option if APC fail.

Borrowing is a better way to fund the budget.

Invest the amount borrowed in some of these assets and make them profitable by partnering private organizations instead of outright sales.

Nigeria is cursed with selfish leaders who are the major advisers to the Commander In Chief.

Borrowing is out of it... borrowing to fund bullet proof cars and useless lifestyle of these politicians?? which wholly owned Nigerian asset is still functioning? It will fail brother as long as it is a "Nigerian" asset. Why some like NLNG are still functioning is because of the stakes of the IOC's, yet if only you know what those guys are going through. NNPC is still surviving because it is "oil"related. If they say it is to fund the budget i.e their lifestyle let's see what they will use and fund next year's own given that oil price will not go up anytime soon.

Its is so unfortunate to know that the same budget that took them about 2-3 months to approve, is the same one they need to sell national assets to fund.....and as far as I know, this is September...... And they are declaring bankruptcy on 2016 budget,

APC are a bunch of scammers! They plan on selling National Assets to fund the 2016 budget. Will they sell Nigerians into slavery to fund the 2017 Budget? This is the problem with Africans and the black man, inherently corrupt and short sighted.
Behind the scenes the arrangement has already been concluded and the price tag of $15 billion re-echoed by Dangote and CBN Governor Emefiele for the assets has been finalised. The conspiracy is now in the next stage to implement to sale regardless of the fact most Nigerians oppose it,that is why Buhari wants Emergency powers.
The money Dangote,Saraki,Wale Tinubu,David Mark that was exposed they were hiding in Panama Central America earlier this year through briefcase companies in the leaks to avoid paying taxes and storing their loot will be used to purchase the assets at rock bottom prices.

Paperwhite:
APC have reach the peak of their lies & cluelessness. What becomes of all the recovered, borrowed & all the media propaganda monies.By the time another government will unearth all APC's corruption in future time,Nigerians will surely curse the day they allow these crooks into our political space.#CHANGEISALLABOUTLIES&SCAM.

We don't need Buhari funding any stüpid 2016 budget anymore. For crying out loud, it's only 3 months left to the end of the year, so we should be talking about 2017 and not 2016. Still wondering why this man called Buhari is so caught up in the past that he fails to plan for the nearest future.

2016 is gone, if the useless old buffoon can't use the phantom "recovered loot", money saved up in the TSA, etc to fund the 2016 budget, let him leave it unfunded. We've been surviving and will keep surviving. Even if he decides not to budget for 2017, 18 and 19, we're ok. So let him not go about putting Nigeria up for sale just so that they can keep looting us.

Nothing wrong with the sale of State assets but they must be moribund, non-profit generating "assets" which can only be better managed in the hands of private.

There are quite a number of such facilities that only end up being perennial conduits for wastage of government funds.

However, I am against the sale of profitable businesses such as NLNG.

I wait to see the list of businesses government would elect to sell off.

In my view, this is the best thing that can happen in Nigeria, we will all bless Buhari for this, by the time all national assets has been sold, There will be no free money for corrupt politicians to embezzle since they have not saved and cannot save for the future generations..Any money spent during any administration will now boil down to the ingenuity in collecting taxes.....BUHARI PLS CARRY ON BECAUSE SINCE I WAS BORN I HAVE NEVER BENEFITTED ANYTHING FROM THE NIGERIAN GOVERNMENT
Good one. It will only lead to a revolution because they will want to increase tax so as to fund their lifestyle bills called budget. I mean they will now want to be taking from the common man directly which will not work.

NLNG is not as profitable as it should be because of government's interference. For instance Babs omotowa tried all his best before he left for the next train to reach a FID, it never happened. NLNG can be more profitable without the NNPC.

2017- APC led government sells National assets to fund budget.

2018, what will they sell? Mumu government.

Point of correction, the imbecilic bastards are selling national assets so that they can fund the padded budget of 2016, a year with only 3 months left to its end..

Next year, they'd start selling other assets like roads, flyover, bridges, etc.

By 2018, nothing else will be left to be sold, so they'd start selling citizens into slavery. By the time they're done selling us off, then they'd be left to vote for themselves in 2019...
