It is not a must to inherit your brother or father's wife. It is most likely done if your brother dies without a son. His wife and brother must be willing to accept to be married (I kuchi nwanyi) so that she can get a son for the late husband. Remember no one will force you to that, it must be the choice of both parties.

How many Ijaws have you seen trooping enmass to Lagos or any Yoruba state?

How many Ijaws have been given appointment in Yorubaland?

FYI 90% of Ijaws prefers staying at home. The diasporans are either civil servant or professionals posted out of Ijawland. Others are children of those civil servants/professionals that grew up outside, but most of these people relocate back.

Why should an Ijawman troop outside when we are not predominantly businessmen? We prefer running for office in our own places.
