EPISODE TWO MFYL PR2

“Today I finally met my biological mother but it wasn’t a Hollywood sweet moment where mother and son re-unite with much jubilation. I strongly believe there was a reason I felt that way because I don’t think it supposed to be that way. Whatever it is, I will unravel it so I can at least feel her embrace, smile with her and have opportunity to love her.”

We all went to Funmi’s side where guys were recalling and laughing about the verbal abuse we were dished at Aramide’s side while I just lay there on the mattress with so many thoughts going through my mind. My phone rang and it was from Aramide but I ignored it. It rang again and Funmi picked it this time around. She spoke for a while and then faced me.

Funmi: It’s Vera, she want to speak with you.

Me: (I took the phone from her) Hello

Vera: Brother Kehinde, sorry about the other time.

Me: No problem dear, I’m good. How’s Aramide, I saw her call earlier?

Vera: I was the one calling, she and mum has been crying profusely since you left

Me: Crying? Why are they crying?

Vera: Please can you come over? I’m getting fed up

Me: I’m really not in the mood right now.

Funmi, obviously listening to my conversation with Vera, snatched the phone from me.

Funmi: Hello Vera, he’s coming very soon (she terminates the call and faced me). Will, what’s wrong with you?

Me: What did I do?

Funmi: You are too emotional Will. Common you are a man, behave like one.

Me: Do I have any fault here?

Funmi: Yes you do. When you should have spoken up, you chickened out. You kept running away from situations, you can’t keep living like that. You have to be facing situations headlong baby.

Temmy: She’s right Will. You can’t be running away every time. Stop allowing the fear of unknown to stop you from doing the right thing. You know this attitude almost cost you your relationship with Funmi. Go to your mother now and talk to her.

Dan: See BB Will (we both smile), remember what mum told you. She asked you to love her. I know you have some dislike towards her but do not let those words that were spoken earlier bring out the hatred.

Temmy: Exactly! I know you love her. Take up courage and work on that love. Solve this issue once and for all Will.

Dan: If you want it, we’ll still go together

Me: Let me go alone

Funmi: I’ll go with you

Me: No dear, I don’t want you involved again. Let me face whatever it is alone.

Funmi: Will you be able to drive?

Me: I’ll call if I’m not able to.

I took Funmi’s car and headed back to Aramide’s side. My friend words gave me the necessary strength I needed to face the hurdle. I knocked on the door but was greeted by a lady we did not meet there the other time. I guess she’s one of the two other student nurses staying in the other rooms. I went straight to Aramide’s door and knocked, Vera welcomed me in and that was when I realized the other two women had left. I did not meet them crying but their face was still designed with the aftermath of the cry. I stood there looking at my mother while she stood up to face me. She kept repeating “my son” until she almost started crying again but I moved closer and prostrated. She lifted me up and hugged me while she cries on.

Me: Stop crying mother, I’m sorry about the other time

Mother: You just called me mother? (She started crying the more)

Me: Yes mother, can I keep calling you that?

Mother: Of course my boy. You don’t know how much I’ve wanted to hear that all my life (we both sat down). The last time I set my eye on you; you were still an infant and can’t produce any meaningful word. I am so sorry my boy, I made a mistake and I am regretting it. I offended you; I offended both you and your father.

Me: It’s over mother; you don’t have to apologize anymore.

Mother: Thanks for coming back to me and I am sorry for all I said to you earlier. I am sorry son, mother doesn’t hate you. I love you so much and I never meant to make you feel bad.

Me: (I had to caution myself here to avoid crying. Funmi is right, I’m indeed emotional). No problem mother, I understand.

Mother: May God bless your mother for me. She’s the reason why I could even locate you. She’s a great woman.

Aramide: Mum you said the other time that you offended our father. You never told me that before. What did you do and where is he? Is he really dead?

Me: Aramide, I don’t think this is the best time for mother to start talking about that. We’ll find another time when the atmosphere is less tense.

Mother: No son, I’ll tell you some now. It was my selfishness that caused your separation from us. It wasn’t after your father left that I started dating my husband. I was cheating on your father with my husband even though I was engaged to your father. Your father wasn’t really well to do but my husband was a free spender then. I never told your father I was pregnant, so I don’t think he know he has twins, except if his brother, your step father was able to reach him before he passed away. Your father told me what his plan was and gave me enough money to travel down to Ghana to meet him, but I spent the money and refused to even look for him. I was the only one that knows where in Ghana he was heading to, but I refuse to tell anybody. All I told people was he run away when he discovered I was pregnant. I only hope he’s still alive so he can forgive me.

Me: You don’t know if he’s alive?

Mother: No, I don’t. Nobody heard anything from him since he left, and nobody cares to look for him since they all thought he ran away.

Me: Do you have any of his pictures so that we can at least know how he looks like.

Mother: I used to have a picture we snapped together that I kept inside my box, but my husband has destroyed it during one of our fights. He burnt everything inside the box, including the picture.

Aramide: I remembered that time, but that means there is no way we can trace him or try to find him.

Mother: I’ll help you in whatever way you want if you decided to look for him. I still have the address of the place he was going to in Ghana.

Aramide: That’s twenty-five years ago mum. I’m not sure he’ll still be there if he’s alive.

Me: I have a feeling all is not right with him. If all mother says about him is true, it’s either he’s dead or he’s in bondage somewhere, because he would have at least look for us.

Mother: He might not; he didn’t know he has children. He’ll think I just decided to leave him.

Aramide: Which means, he might still be alive

Me: Positive, although I never heard from my mum if my dad was able to contact him at any point. I think we should let everything rest for now; we can try to search later.

Aramide: Everything has been resting for the past twenty-five years Will. That’s enough rest.

Me: What if he’s married now and we showing up destroy his home?

Aramide: He never knew we existed, so I don’t think it will destroy his home.

Me: What if he rejects us?

Mother: He can’t deny you if he sees me.

Me: I think we can try then, after your exams.

Aramide: Yeah, service year is okay.

Mother: Kehinde, whenever you want to see me, let me know. I’ll love to be seeing you, although I’m not too at peace with you coming over to my side.

Aramide: Why is that?

Mother: You know my husband, the kind of person he is. He was the one that decided we should drop him and have you alone in the first place. Now he didn’t have a male child, even three kids he had outside are all girls. Seeing Kehinde might make him bitter and I don’t trust him at all.

Aramide: There is nothing he will do mum

Vera: Dad is not that wicked mum; he only brags about, he can’t harm a fly.

Mother: All I’m saying is we should tread carefully. I’ve lived with him for twenty four years now; I think I know him better.

Me: No problem. Will you still be able to make it home today?

Mother: Yes my son, others will still be waiting for me. I’ll join them soon.

We saw her off while I conveyed her along with Aramide and Vera to where she joined her church members who were already in their church bus. I was surprised to see the other two women came down from the bus to greet me, eulogizing us as a twin. I guess they are the closest pal of my mother and she probably had told them who I am. We waved them off and I dropped Aramide and Vera back to her flat before I headed to Funmi’s side. I met only Funmi as Dan and Temmy has taken Sewa back to her lodge.

Funmi: At least you drive home, so I want to believe it went well this time.

Me: (Smiling) Yes it did. She has gone back home.

Funmi: I’m happy to hear that. You will have to look for another day to fulfill your promise.

Me: Which promise is that?

Funmi: You said we’ll spend today together

Me: we did now

Funmi: But not alone. Half of the day you were moody and sad, I want a full day with happy you.

Me: We weren’t dating when I made that promise you know, but now you have me all to yourself.

Funmi: I know, but I still want a day with you alone.

Me: No problem love. After my defense next week, we have all the time in the world. I’m thinking we should go to a waterfall or a beach, with Temmy, Rachael, Dan and Sewa.

Funmi: I said a time with you alone.

Me: We’ll always have that dear. Like I said, we have the whole time but I think the waterfall or beach plan will be fun.

Funmi: Okay, I’m watching and expectant. Can you sleep over tonight?

Me: That won’t be advisable dear

Funmi: Why? I slept at your place while we were not even dating.

Me: Yes we were not dating and Temmy was there, but you and I alone in the room on the day we cement our love? We are calling for William junior. I’ll sleep over sometimes but not today dear, I don’t trust myself.

Funmi: Hmm, okay promise?

Me: Yeah sure, why not. I will, let’s just take it step by step.

The truth is I’ll love to sleep over but it’s very dangerous that night judging by the volume of emotions running through my body. Since I know myself, I had to prevent a sorry case as protection might not even come to mind in situation like this.

The guys came back and we had our dinner before we left for our lodge in Dan’s Jeep. It was a fulfilling day for me and I should be able to sleep well. A day I met my biological mother and cement my love with the mother of my unborn children. But this question lingers on, “who and where is my father?”

Lols, It's more of who I am Bro. The Will character is mostly how I live or have lived and Temmy's Character is more of that of my roommate in school (one of my best friend).

Every Character is of someone I know

EPISODE THREE MFYL PR2

I got closer to my twin sister and biological mother. She kept blaming herself for betraying our biological father but I assured her she’s not entirely at fault as I thought the man supposed to have look for her all these while. Her matrimonial problem however continued as she was not able to manage her husband who became weirder in his pursuit of male child. I honestly don’t understand why one will be hell bent on having a male child when you already have female children that have the same ability in all areas just as the male child does. I understand it has to do with keeping the family name but what does he want somebody like Funmi’s dad who only has a daughter and no wife do? The man stood by his daughter and made her everything he loves, and that’s a true man. Everyman should be appreciative to God and care for the children given to them, whether male or female. All are children and have the same ability to be great.

My love to Funmi wax stronger by day. We were always together throughout our defense and convocation period. It was service that is about to separate us and Funmi is fighting it so hard. She was posted to Lagos state while I was posted to Rivers state where I can join one of Daddy Orire’s company’s major branch offices over there. I was asked to choose between Lagos, our home town, or Porthacourt branch of the company and unknown to Funmi, I chose Porthacourt branch. She thought it was mere fate that took me to portharcourt not knowing it was my idea so I can explore other parts of the country. It would be my first time outside the southwest and I want to enjoy it to the fullest but Funmi is insisting I must redeploy to Lagos sighting the fact that distance will affect our relationship, though I don’t subscribe to that. To make it more interesting my personal guy, Temmy was also posted to Rivers state. We worked it together there to the disagreement of Rachael who was posted to plateau state which is very far from Lagos where her best friend Janet was posted.

Funmi: There is something to this Porthacourt you are not telling me.

Me: No dear, it’s just fate. I think there is a mission I need to accomplish there.

Funmi: Which mission is that?

Me: When I get there, I’ll know. It will be exciting; you know I’ve never been out of this place before.

Funmi: I know it! You are going there to explore

Me: Exploring is not bad dear, besides I’ll still be in your Dad’s company.

Funmi: I’ll tell my dad to work it for you down to Lagos

Me: Your Dad knows who I am?

Funmi: No, not yet. I can’t tell him yet but this situation might force me to.

Me: Why didn’t you tell him before, I thought you are very close to your dad and tell him almost everything.

Funmi: Our relationship is still young Will

Me: Common, six month is not too young.

Funmi: My dad has an Idea of who he wants me to marry. The only way I can conquer that is if our love is strong for a long time but now you are going to jeopardize that with this your Porthacourt thing. My mind is not going with you.

Me: Come on baby, it can’t affect our relationship. The world is a global village, we’ll call, chat, text and even Skype every day.

Funmi: It’s easier said dear. The story will change when you meet other babes on camp.

Me: Hmm, you seem not to trust me

Funmi: I trust you to the core baby, but I don’t trust those babes. I live among hot chicks remember; I know how they work.

Me: I’m an average guy dear, no girl want to be with a guy like me.

Funmi: Really? An average guy that I totally fell in love with, that Janet almost ditched her fiancé for, that Uche got hard feelings for, that Judith (Aramide’s flat mate) tried to snatch away from me.

Me: Come on baby, it’s because I gave them attention.

Funmi: Dear my mind is not at peace with this.

Me: Don’t worry baby, I promise to be faithful to you.

Funmi: I said I do not doubt you, but I don’t trust those girls. You are a guy; your defense wall has limit. If you see what you’ve not been seeing now, your defense mechanism will come down flat.

Me: (Laughing while I pull and hug her) My own Funmilola, the only one my heart beats for. There are numerous fishes in the sea but they can’t be shark. There are several varieties of bird in the air but there is only one kind of eagle. Other girls will surely come, they will always do, but what’s the point when all I ever want is you. I used to have a world of my own baby, quiet and clean. I never knew it was ugly until you came into my world. You are the angel God sent to beautify my life baby. Other girls are darkness but you are light. It’s no more my world but our world baby, and in this world I can’t do without you. You are like oxygen, the life of our world. Thank God for giving me His best angel in you, I love you Oluwafunmilola.

Funmi: I love you my William Opeyemi Akehinde gbegbon (came last but the eldest). But promise me you won’t look at those girls.

Me: I’ll see them, but not as girls. I’ll see them as potential wolves.

Funmi: Yeah, I like that. They are indeed wolves. Please don’t toy with my heart William.

Me: Nobody toys with diamond, because it’s not easily found.

Funmi: You and these your words

Me: They are true baby. You are my world.

Funmi: I’m happy to be. So when will you leave?

Me: It depends on when you are leaving.

Funmi: I can get to the camp in a couple of hours from my house in Lagos.

Me: I mean when you leave here.

Funmi: When do you want me to leave?

Me: I think we should leave today, so we can buy all the necessary stuffs needed on camp.

Funmi: Mine are ready

Me: I still need to get stuffs like mosquito net

Funmi: That’s true, I don’t have that.

Me: Aramide did promised to get me one but she couldn’t

Funmi: Where was she posted to?

Me: They are not going to service yet, maybe next batch.

Funmi: Oh, those medical people’s calendar is always different. Are you going with your car?

Me: I’ll love to, in fact it would have been interesting since I’m going with Temmy, but I heard they don’t allow corps member’s cars into the camp and I don’t even know the route.

Funmi: So what will happen to the car?

Me: I’ll drop it at home

Funmi: For a whole year?

Me: No, I’ll come back to pick it after camp. I would have known the routes by that time.

Funmi: Alright, I still wish you redeploy though.

Me: We’ve settled that baby, we are good.

I saw her drove off as she in the company of Rachael, Sewa, Janet and one other lady went to Lagos together in her car, while I left to my home town with my home boy Temmy. Dan had travelled back to the United States a month earlier after her introduction ceremony with Sewa in Lagos. They are going to be having their wedding immediately after our service year.

We branch a gas station to fill up the fuel tank while Temmy took over the steering.

Temmy: You’ve repaired this steering right?

Me: Funmi’s mechanic did work on it yesterday.

Temmy: I see it’s now very good.

Me: Thank God it’s Toyota and not Kia as Daddy Orire proposed.

Temmy; Kia is also great, very great self.

Me: Yeah, but majority of these local mechanics are good on Toyota.

Temmy: Mehn! This is so cool; I wish we can take it along to Porthacourt

Me: Me too, but do you know the route?

Temmy: Google map will do that.

Me: What about where we’ll park the car?

Temmy: That’s the only thing. Don’t you know somebody in Porthacourt?

Me: Not at all, but the camp is not even in Porthacourt.

Temmy: At least we can park it there and take cab to the camp.

Me: That’s true but I’ve got nobody there.

Temmy: Damn! It would have being fun.

Me: Sincerely I’ll love it too.

Temmy: Mark was posted to Rivers too.

Me: Markinson baba, funny dude.

Temmy: He said he’ll love to go with us. He thought we are going with the car.

Me: Oh, even if we were, will he travel down to our side from Lagos?

Temmy: He said he’ll wait for us in Ore.

Me: We’ll see.

While we were still discussing my phone rang and it was from Daddy Orire.

Me: Hello sir

Orire: Yemi, how are you?

Me: I’m fine sir

Orire: Where are you?

Me: On my way home sir

Orire: That’s good. When are you leaving for camp?

Me: I’m proposing Tuesday sir

Orire: I thought the camp opens on Tuesday?

Me: Yes sir

Orire: Then go on Monday. You know you can’t predict the way vehicles behave and your journey is a little far.

Me: I’m not going with the car sir.

Orire: Why not?

Me: I don’t know the route very well and they won’t allow us to park on the camp.

Orire: Don’t worry about that. Somebody is going to our branch over there; you’ll go together on Monday. He knows the route very well.

Me: What about where to park Sir?

Orire: I’ve already called the manager over there. He’ll receive you and you can sleep over at his place and go to camp on Tuesday. You can also park your car at his place.

Me: How do I get in touch with him sir?

Orire: The guy that is going with you will take you to his place.

Me: Okay sir, thank you sir.

Orire: Let me know when you are there, I’ll send the guy’s number to you now, or better still, he’ll call you.

Me: Okay sir (Line went off). Temmy call Mark, we are going with the car.

Temmy: Yes!

Monday came and we embarked on our journey to the garden city of Porthacourt. We left home by 5am in the morning and picked Mark up in Ore town. Our journey was sweet and fantastic as the four of us discussed till we got to Benin where we had a break to fill our stomach.

We took off from Benin City and we were enjoying every moment of the journey as the road between Benin City and Warri happened to be one of the best my car has journeyed on. Some miles to enter into the oil rich city, we met an auto accident scene involving a bus coming from Lagos and a car coming out of the city. There was no life lost but victims were in serious pain and I think I saw somebody I knew among the victims. “Let’s stop and check who that is” I said to Temmy who had taken oven the wheels from Benin.

My suspicion was actually correct as I saw her standing up trying to gather her stuffs. I’m happy she was able to stand on her own.

EPISODE FOUR MFYL PR2

I walked down to her and sighting me she hugged me passionately in a way she couldn’t have done before. “I nearly died Will, it was God that saved me” she said, almost crying. I pressed her head on my chest using my hand to pat her back telling her all will be fine. “Hope you are not wounded anywhere?” I asked and she replied “No”. I cleaned her tears and gather her stuffs scattered all over the place as Temmy and Mark joined me. We were able to get all her stuffs except her big travelling bag stuck at the back of the bus that was conveying them. It took the intervention of some guys that uses axe to remove the booth cover before we could force out her bag, though now damaged with some of her stuffs. We loaded her luggage into my car by squeezing it in as the booth was already filled with our luggage.

Me: I think we should take you to the hospital

Uche: No, I’m fine

Me: You never can tell, it is better they carry out a proper check on you to ascertain that

Temmy: That’s true, you might not feel some of it now because of the Adrenaline but by the time you wake up tomorrow, it’ll be a different story.

Uche: I’m fine. My aunt’s husband is a doctor. He’ll check me when I get to their place.

Me: Where is their place?

Uche: Portharcout

Mark: So you were heading to PH?

Uche: Yes, I wanted to sleep over at my aunt’s before going to the camp tomorrow.

Temmy: You are posted to Rivers too?

Uche: Yeah, my aunt’s husband work it for me

Me: Just rest for now and call your aunt when there is network so we can know where to meet her

Uche: Thanks Will.

Hearing I’m going to be on the same camp with Uche for 21 days should normally send me into worrying mode but I unexpectedly felt okay about it. Maybe it’s because I’ve never seen this side of her before. I’ve always known her to be a strong personality trying to disturb my peace at every chance she get but she seems gentle and cool now, maybe it’s because of the circumstances surrounding it. That hug she gave me also did some magic.

The journey continued and we were all analyzing what could have caused the accident. The car was obviously on the wrong side of the road as we met it on the lane going into the city. All these while, Uche was silent and look more like she was sleeping until she spoke up gently to me.

Uche: Will, where are we?

Me: We are almost there, we just pass Bayelsa

Uche: It’s getting late, I should call my sister.

She pulled out her phone to call her sister and that was how we discovered the phone screen has gotten broken at the upper part and would not even come up.

Me: Do you know her number off hand?

Uche: Yes I do

I gave my phone to her while she called aunt to meet us at a place where it would be convenient for us to continue our journey to the place we’ll sleep over.

Uche: Will, thanks for today.

Me: Thank God, it’s was a mere coincidence we were there.

Uche: You didn’t tell me you now have a car.

Me: How did you know it’s mine?

Uche: (She points to the congratulatory card of our supervisor I hanged on the mirror) I remember our supervisor gave us that after our external defense.

Me: Oh, that’s right. You guessed right.

Uche: Will, you can form o.

Me: Why did you say that?

Uche: You’ll be doing like you don’t have anything in school, fooling everybody into believing you are just an average guy.

Me: (Laughs) Uche believe me, I’m just an average guy like every other normal guy. I’m not as rich as you think. This car surprises even me.

Uche: Congratulations anyway, even though what you did is not good at all.

Me: What’s that again?

Uche: Since after our final defense, you did not see me or hear from me yet you did not bother to ask. Or didn’t you notice I wasn’t at Engineering induction and school convocation?

Me: (Why would I ask of you to ask for more trouble?) Truth be told, I noticed you weren’t around, but I thought you travelled and decided not to be there just like some others.

Uche: Why won’t I want to be there? I have good grades and I’m not having any issue with the school authority.

Me: I know, so why weren’t you there?

Uche: I was avoiding our supervisor

Me: (This is a new one) Why will you be avoiding him? I thought you guys are very close.

Uche: Yeah, he wants something else

Me: (What’s more else than you guys dating?) Something else like what? (I have to pull her legs a little)

Uche: You know what I meant Will

Me: Truth be told, I thought you both were seeing each other.

Uche: (She looks at me mischievously) Why will you think like that about me?

Me: Uche that’s what you always portrayed. That’s what everybody think.

Uche: That’s a very wrong assumption. He did ask for it but I instead arranged two other babes for him.

Me: Students?

Uche: No, they are indigenes

Me: Prostitute I guess

Uche: Something like that. I paid the ladies.

Me: So what does he want again?

Uche: After the duration of my money elapse, the girls were demanding from him. He also said one of them stole his money.

Me: So! What’s your business with that?

Uche: He said it’s me he wants and vowed not to allow me graduate if I refuse him.

Me: So how did you go about your clearance, especially with him?

Uche: I told him I’ve agreed and tricked him into signing it but I run away afterwards.

Me: That sound more like the Uche I know, very sharp.

Uche: (Smiles) I was lucky he signed; it’s more like he was extremely happy about something that day.

Me: You know you caused most of it right?

Uche: How?

Me: Uche your dressings were always suggestive. Even we your mates believe you are one of those girls.

Uche: The man did it to even the “SU’s” in our department.

Me: I know the man has the evil habit no matter what you wear, but what you wear can stimulate his evil and he will make you attracted to him even on a day he wasn’t willing.

Uche: Thank God I’ve escaped him

Me: Yeah, but I’ll advise you watch your dressing, if you don’t want similar situation with maybe your boss.

Uche: Thanks. Are you going to the camp tonight?

Me: No, we’ll sleep over in PH and proceed to camp tomorrow.

We dropped Uche off to the reception of her sister who was already waiting for us at the stated junction. We then proceed to the manager’s house where we comfortably parked the car while the three of us were given a well-furnished room to sleep. The manager was not around by the time we arrived as his house help made sure we have everything we needed.

The manger knocked and entered our room later in the late evening to salute us. Sighting him, I felt a funny reaction in my body system. It was like we’ve known each other before or maybe I’ve seen him somewhere before but I could not recollect. I was dumb silent as he salutes us with funny remarks. He asked for both Mark and Temmy’s names as they responded accordingly but he surprisingly called me by name. That increase my suspicion about us meeting before but I discarded the idea believing he got to know my name from Daddy Orire. “How then did he recognize me or has my picture been sent to him?” While in this thought, he asked me to follow him outside the room to which I did.

Manager: Yemi how are you?

Me: I’m fine sir

Manager: I noticed you’ve been silent all these while. Hope there is no problem?

Me: No problem sir, I’m just trying to get use to my new environment.

Manager: Is it that different from where you are coming from?

Me: Not really, but I’m new in this part of the country.

Manager: Don’t worry, you’ll enjoy it.

He took me to a newly completed lodge in the compound and we went inside the rooms. The lodge was beautifully designed with two big and one smaller room, a very big sitting room, a well-furnished kitchen and a combined toilet and bathroom of a very high standard.

Manager: Do you like this place?

Me: It’s wonderful sir. I really love it. One can sleep in this bathroom if care is not taken

Manager: (We both laughed) The TV cables and dishes will be fixed before the end of this week. By the time you come back, any other thing you need will be fixed. You just let me know.

Me: I don’t understand sir

Manager: This is where you’ll stay for your service year.

Me: Wao! I’m surely going to enjoy this service.

Manager: (Smiles) I’ll need your call up number and I’ll need you to send your state code to me immediately you are been given on camp.

Me: Okay sir:

Managers: We’ll need it to officially and specifically ask for you from NYSC

Me: Thank you sir. I’ll do that.

Manager: You are welcome

Me: Sir?

Manager: I’m listening

Me: We are two

Manager: I don’t understand, two how?

Me: I mean you’ll request for two of us

Manager: I was only told about you

Me: He’s my close pal from childhood and we studied the same course.

Manager: Who is the fellow?

Me: Temiloluwa, the other guy in the room

Manager: Alright but I can’t take the third person

Me: I believe you can still take him too. Help me look into it sir

Manager: You studied same course also?

Me: Similar sir, he studied Agricultural Engineering

Manager: Let him look for farm then, our company’s farm are not in this area.

Me: (Smiles) Agricultural Engineering is not just about farming sir. It’s application of engineering principles to farming, but how can they apply what they don’t know. Which is why they are first engineers and then farmers? They can perform almost at every place a mechanical, food and civil engineers can function.

Manager: You have a very good point there but let’s stick to you and your best friend first.

Me: Alright sir. Sir, it’s like we’ve met before

Manager: Really? Where is that?

Me: I can’t figure it out but I have a great feeling we’ve met before.

Manager: You might not be entirely wrong, or maybe I resemble somebody from your side.

Me: I’m not sure sir.

Manager: Try to remember. We have a lot to talk about when you come back from camp.

We left the lodge and I went back to meet the others where we were staying. I tried to search if he really resembles somebody I knew before but I couldn’t really stamp it on anybody. Though I felt more like I’ve had that conversation or similar one before but I still could not ascertain where or to whom. By the time I come back from camp, I’ll like to know the connection between Daddy Orire, the manager and the caring I’m getting from them.

You are really a great writer. So captivating and insightful. I so much enjoyed the season 1 that I have to purchase data just to read the season 2 'cause I actually read the first part with Airtel freebasics and was trying to open the link to this particular sequel but it won't bulge na so I kuku ditch freebasics to the thrash and go get data. Keep The Update Coming. More Ink To Your Pen.
