joeace2020:So long these data are on the web, I won't break a sweat digging as much of them up as I like. Some guys think they have some kind of privilege accessing numbers. In recent past.. Penalties awarded 2002-2003: Fulham 7, MU 7, Liverpool 6, Arsenal 4 2003-2004: Newcastle 10, Liverpool 8, Arsenal 6, MU Chelsea MC 4 2004-2005: CP 12, Chelsea MC 5, MU Arsenal 3 2005-2006: Arsenal 7, TH 6, WHU 5, Liverpool Chelsea 4 2006-2007: Arsenal 10, BR 9, AV Everton 8, Liverpool TH 7 2007-2008: TH BR AV 7, MU Portsmouth Arsenal Chelsea BC 6 , Liverpool 5 2008-2009: BR MC 7, Stoke 6, Everton NU WBA Liverpool Arsenal AV Fulham Wigan 5 2009-2010: Chelsea 12, Sunderland WHU 9, MU 8, Everton HC 7 2010-2011: MC 9, Chelsea Blackpool 8, Arsenal Liverpool TH 7, WHU 6 2011-2012: MU 11, MC 8, WA BR 7, SC Liverpool Swansea BW 6 2012-2013: Chelsea 11, WBA 7, Fulham Liverpool MC MU 6, Arsenal 5 2013-2014: Liverpool 12, Chelsea MC 7, CP TH Sunderland 6 2014-2015: MC 8, Everton Arsenal 7, CP Liverpool 6, TH WBA MU QPR Chelsea 5 2015-2016: LCD 13, MC 8, Watford 7, Everton WBA SC Cheksea CP Swansea TH 5 2016-2017 so far: Liverpool Arsenal 4, MC 3, LC 2 From 2002 to 2017 Arsenal 76, Chelsea 82, Manchester City 79, Liverpool 85, Manchester United 77, Tottenham 64, but somehow Manchester United is favored. They hate what they don't understand. I was in an inter-state transport not long ago when some people began talking football and a guy lamented how Sir Alex got an average of 20 penalties every season. I had to laugh out loud, just couldn't help it. Note: Nobody bothers about how dubious Arsenal have been so far because it will be worthless at the end of every season anyway smh. |

ChristineC:Aunty Christy, I suspect that you're the one that doesn't seem to understand my post. Otherwise you would be wondering why not just one, but two future Manyoo managers would openly question Mark Riley's allegiance...before they got initiated into the PDP cult. |

elrony:Lol I will even love if we can just get only 3 penalties against lfc sef. These fools here are running out of things to wail on. So if we give them one now it wouldn't be a bad idea |

Nihilist:You are wrong in this. I believe u know that as well but you are just trolling. No serious fan who has been following EPL from the 90s will subscribe to your position. The eye test says you are wrong. United were very dominant in those years and won some seasons with double digit points difference. The stats also say that you are wrong as United have been awarded the least number of penalties of all the big clubs over the last 14yrs. Conspiracy theorists would always have an excuse and a fall back explanation so of course every little advantage in Uniteds favour is overblown while those calls that go in favour of other clubs are swept under the carpet. Ferguson that spent most of his adult life beating clubs like Real Madrid , Barcelona and Bayern Munich in finals with usually weaker teams needed Howard Webb and Mike Riley to boss the EPL when in most years he had the best squad? U must be joking, just bow to the man ![]() |

Nihilist:Are all the matches officiated by just these 2 refs? What is the point of this? Is it to prove that some refs favour certain clubs? We know that. There are refs that favour Chelsea too and there are refs that United fans fear as they usually spell defeat for us. But if your aim is to prove the league titles were undeserved you have Lago epon. These 2 refs were obviously not able to out hustle the Chelsea refs and City refs and Liverpool refs who awarded those clubs more penalties in the time frame. It can even be argued that Chelsea and the others had a slicker and more sophisticated operation in that they were able to get more penalties awarded to their teams on the down low without arousing suspicion. It can even be inferred that Chelsea and other clubs like it were able to spread the slush money around and bribe more referees to gain all those penalties thereby limiting the individual exposure to each ref. |

afrodoc2:That's why I only spoke about the matches referereed by those 2 refs...both of whom have a spectacular record when reffing United games. Riley gave Manyoo 12 penalties in 23 games, including 8 straight pens in 8 consecutive OTF appearances. That's better than 1 pen every two games guaranteed. Howard Webb was giving 1 pen in every 3 Manyoo games he officiated.... What is the point of this? Is it to prove that some refs favour certain clubs? We know that. .So why are you arguing then? ![]() . There are refs that favour Chelsea tooPerhaps, but how many of them are General Managers at PGMOL? Howard Webb and Mark Riley however... |

| Re: Official Manchester United Fan Thread:''20 Times EPL Champion by afrodoc2: 7:21pm On Oct 14, 2016 |
Nihilist:I am not arguing with you just pointing out how ridiculous it is to point to 2 refs as the reasons for a clubs dominance or lack of same. Chelsea has won the EPL 4 times, Arsenal 3 times, United has won with 10 points gap or more 4 times. That level of dominance was not due to Riley, and Manchester United's win % in matches officiated by Riley was not even stellar. The stats do not support your claims. U have brought up penalties but the FACTS say your club profited from these penalties more than United. All you are doing is peddling old wives tales and innuendos here. Since 2002 Chelsea has had more penalties awarded to them than United. .... difference was Chelseas squad was too poor to make the advantage to count. |

afrodoc2:I will wire you 200 pounds right now if you can bring out any of my posts today that matches what you've described up there ![]() I think like ChristineC, you've completely misunderstood my posts. All I did was point out the incredible consistency of these two particular men when it comes to United... Howard Webb in particular went 4 straight seasons without awarding a Penalty in thr games he reffed vs Chelsea, and 5 straight seasons vs Arsenal. He never went consecutive seasons without giving United at least 1 penalty. That's just remarkable. Even the weather is not so predictable. Know your #legends Dazall. ![]()

codedguy1:That's an interesting question...but that would lead us into a discussion of wider referee intimidation that I don't have the appetite or energy for tonight... If you scroll to the previous page, I listed at least two dodgy instances where Mark Riley gave penalties...one of which Alex Ferguson agreed wasn't a penalty, and the other, Gary Neville who was playing on the day would go on to describe as "dubious". If I had the time, I could probably list a few more, but based on the admissions from the Manyoo camp in these instances.. 1 in every 6 penalties that Riley awarded Manyoo was an osho free. Those are phenomenal odds bro. #Legend |

Nihilist:I told you stupidity is your problem. I knew very soon if you kept arguing and trying to prove your hate filled point, you'll rope yourself in. You claimed riley and webb where consistent in the penalties they awarded United....fine! Then you claimed that the consistency is so glaring, there's a shade of favoritism..clap for yourself! Then we then told you that we were not dominant based on those penalties and you said that is not your point, your point is that these referees where too consistent? Fantastic. Now you went to argue against yourself by claiming that 1 in every 6 penalty awarded by Riley was osho free....Excellent? (Was the argument not consistency in giving one team penalties and not whether the penalties were dubious?) Seeing that your 2byte brain couldn't keep up with the old argument, let's stick to the new one. Please educate us- how many penalties can Riley award united in a season?....6 i guess by your estimation If by your new argument every 5 is deserved....who do we blame? the opposing team who cannot seem to stop committing them or you brainless fan who cannot come to terms with one lapse in 6 penalties? Hatred is a disease, it starves the brain of Reasoning |
