PassingShot:****someone brings to light information that the administration's commander in chief isn't really the commander and yet you continue to hold on to this tenets...Aisha's statement seems nothing like a vendetta but a true statement acknowledging that the president doesn't even have 20% control(in her words out of 50 appointees only 5 are known to her been married to her husband for 27 years -read in between cos in actual terms only 5 are known by Mr President) |

PassingShot:The Crux of the matter here is that Aisha is FRUSTRATED for not being allowed to meddle into the political affairs of the Presidency. Does she think governance is a family and friends affair that she needs to know all the president's appointees? But rather some morons who just few months ago were calling for her head for her alleged involvement in halliburton case by the lunatic Fayose are today calling her the most upright woman.... Isn't that hypocrisy? |

PassingShot:But you will agree with me that PEJ never went out of the line to 'insult' her husband on an international media house. PEJ was fighting her husband's political enemies while Aisha is busy joining the camp of her husband's political enemies, this is the scenario in my own view. Besides what Aisha did won't make her husband's political enemies like her any less. I'm betting they will use what she did against her and her husband in the Long run. What will be more nice to hear when I tell you that; hey man, even your wife don't support you, so what they heck do you want? You see were Aisha's foolishness comes into play? |

ASL33:Buhari doesn't have to know them. Knowing them through their CV and their past work is all he needs to approve their appointments. If a man says his wife shouldn't have an undue influence in his job, Na crime? Una hypocrisy knows no bounds! |

I now understand why, when it was reported that Aisha was not to grant interviews. No matter the valid points she raised, she has proofed her "loyalty", the issue of 2019 shouldn't have been raised, because that sounds like blackmail. PMB missed out "cabinet" in his kitchen statement, which makes it a gaffe. At least all past Presidents had a "kitchen cabinet" ![]() They both let us down by those comments of theirs. |

arewafederation:Frustration is an understatement. Maybe Aisha want to overthrow her husband in some kind of 'coup' or something like that. I was discussing this Aisha drama with my wife some hours ago, and the woman was all supportive of Aisha. Funny. I just had to tell her I don't like overambitious women and the woman began to foam in the mouth. If people will call a spade what it is, seriously overambitious women like Aisha are no good for a man, especially a man with so much power and influence. |

If the President didn't know whom he would be working with, then our country's situation can be explained by the lack of preparedness of the administration for the task ahead. How can he claim the country is fantastically corrupt and that he is on a mission to eradicate it, yet open up the helms to people he knows nought about? That is, assuming we hadn't seen the faces parading about this government before. I think he and his wife have some scuffles over some political issue, hence the outburst. If people are appointed without making any effort, that is understandable. A civilian country that parades some of the most educated people on the planet had to settle for one with a very questionable SSCE as her president. That is glory despite lack of effort. That is assuming there was no favouritism in the appointment processes. We know better. It's true that Buhari scored popularity votes, hence his emergence as Nigeria's president. It is also true that a Bachelor or Divorcee would not lead Nigeria. Try as hard as you may to take Aisha off the equation. If you had erased her off the campaign stage, Buhari would never had emerged President. A man who cannot contain his family scuffles cannoy manage a haemorraging country with diverse problems. I was just analysing Jonathan's many decisions and indecisions and trying to see where the wife came all out against his rule and plans to rule. Finally, as a bachelor, I used to have the same thoughts; that a woman belongs to the kitchen. So, I really find it appalling that as old as the President is, in 2016, can still make such childish references. I would blame it solely on the Fulani version of their religion and culture. They are backward in thoughts and civilization. I don't want to think him actually stup¡d. Just imagine if a wife had been meant for domestic purposes alone, men obituaries due to stress would have its own 24-hour TV channel. Coupled with a lot of other crazies in the world. |

One thing I'm sure of is that Aisha Buhari is regretting the outcome of the interview. Her major griveance here is that her husband failed to appoint people she knows and those that worked for the success of the party to power into political positions. She's right making that assertion but also think she's wrong taking those views to the public. After the election prior to handing over, its been said that Buhari cannot have a grip of the administration because Tinubu and the likes will be the one dictating to him, it has been predicted that Tinubu will hijack the running of the government, this can be partly true going by the statements made by Tinubu loyalist and what Aisha also thinks. But if this has been allowed, cabals too would have been formed and who knows things could have been messier. |

Passingshot what if some people are not happy about the lack of resignation or arrest especially after investigations exposed key players in this administration? What if some people including Aisha that Patience hasn't been arrested yet or her door broken down even after the recent revelations? |

PassingShot:To be candid, I must admit I understand your point. You are right. Especially if the president has made the statement after her interview with BBC. However, his statement could also imply that he didn't take her seriously, noticing how he responded in humour. But I doubt if the world will see it so. The president is a man. |
| Re: Aisha’s BBC Interview – She Got It All Wrong, My Respect For PMB Just Soars by DesChyko: 7:43am On Oct 15, 2016 |
arewafederation:I wouldn't agree with your first assertion. Aisha being involved in the political affairs of the Presidency is never the issue. The President made it clear enough during his campaign that the First Lady's office would be non-functional and that had been recorded. Havinh known the President's way of managing affairs, I think he was being nosy in the little portfolio that the first lady should be managing, the same way he is being nosy in thing he knew nothing about and should have let those appointed/experts do their jobs. No doubt, their issue is of a political nature. But having known Nigeria political climate, accusing her of trying to overthrow the President is unfounded. As for the Fayose-Aisha fiasco, I never commented on it because there is a lot of information about those that were never made public. I believe there is a real issue between them but they were just beating about the bush. That no one was nailed is proof enough. So, those actually following that sh¡t need to engage their brains. That is just a deception. The real issue had never been mentioned. |

eph12:All that you mentioned has no bearing on her misbehavior. Not every man can be controlled by their wife and Aisha should have known and accepted that. |

udumosam23:Sitting beside a woman in that interview. That woman commands the respect of World Leaders. He should have at least showed some decency. Honestly, it would require some heavy damage control to restore his image as a 'fair' president in gender matters. Your audience should determine your countenance in official matters. We all know that is a traditional Nigerian lifestyle but if he was interested in giving her a lecture, he should have done so with purpose, not aloof as if he had no regard whatsoever for the sex of the personnel beside him. |

Aisha is the architect of this drama. You can't wash yer dirty linen outside, it is completely out of sense. He is your husband before limelight nd he will continue to be yer husband after 2019/2023,wat happened to PMB's reputation There are many ways she can communicate to his husband not by going all way ballistic on BBC to unclad yer man to the entire world, it is quite ridiculous, she is arrogant nd show her level pompousness by saying she won't campaign for him by 2019.PMB's response is just a mere joke, all of us can see that he Smile b4 he uttered such statement. |

fiizznation:I have always known Aisha to be pompous and overambitious. Even though I have some reservations about the activities of the cabal, I believe Aisha and her "disenfranchised" soldiers would have done more damages if given the chance; even worse than previous first Ladies.... I can't stop wondering what she hoped to achieve by that interview... |
